Paon Bali Cooking Class

Excellent cooking class. All delicious foods in a beautiful setting with friendly teachers. Picked up from hotel in Sanur. Recipe booklet given at end. Would highly recommend and do again.

Awesome experience which I highly recommend to everyone. Our hosts, Puspa and Wayan, were super nice, making you feel like a home. They really explained everything, not just about food but also about some of Balinese traditions and way of living. Plus, Puspa is soooo funny, you will love her sense of humour. The final dishes were amazing and the portions were huge, you will not leave hungry. Once visiting Ubud, definitely go for this cooking class.

Amazing experience! They are very well prepared to answer all of your questions and advise how to replace some of the local ingredients. Food was super delicious and the teacher and the owner super sweet. Had a great afternoon cooking, learning new things about Balinese cuisine and enjoying superb dinner.

Cooking with Puspa was a highlight of my time in Bali. She's such a warm and welcome woman and made our group feel immediately comfortable in her home. I loved learning about traditional Balinese ingredients and techniques and the lunch we prepared was in the top 3 meals I ate in Bali. I can't wait to prepare these recipes for my friends and family when I get home.

Amazing experience! We did a trip to the local market, followed by rice fields and roamed around a part of the city. They told us a lot about the culture and how coconut oil is made, things you wouldn't generally learn in a normal vacation. Great insights.

The cooking class was very very hands on! Felt like an episode of MasterChef, except with 5 different people assisting you!

Definitely the best food I ate in all of Indonesia! Delicious and delicate, made me immediately go and buy ingredients for getting back to India so I can cook it for the rest of my family!

We did a family of four cookery class. They picked us up from our hotel and we had a market tour, followed by the class. The chef and her family were warm and welcoming. We cooked several dishes communally. Our 5 and 8 year olds loved it and got involved in the cooking. They were strict with allergens and dietary requirements, my wife has coeliac. Food was amazing and ended up having a 5 course meal. Pick up was 8.15 drop off at 1pm. I highly recommend this for couples or families. Price is very reasonable considering you are getting a a decent varied Balinese lunch included in the price. Excellent.

Puspa, Made, Wayan and all staff from this class will give you the great Bali cooking class experience. I love that there's a sharing of information about Balinese cultures and traditions on top of their core services. I also love the free welcome drink, unlimited coffee/water, fast-paced activities and the clean kitchen and cooking materials.

And for vegans like me, it's better to tell them right away about your preferences before the class. They are willing to adjust and change some of the ingredients just for you to taste all the dishes.

Really nice balinese cooking class. Felt very welcome, everybody was really nice and I picked up some really nice recipes. Enjoyed visiting the market during morning class.

Beautiful home, fantastic food, amazing people. Managed to teach large and small groups who are not familiar in the kitchen how to produce incredible food in a traditional way. Loved it!

10/10 Aunty Puspa and her staff are wonderful. The pick up from hotel was prompt and the driver courteous. For 350k you learn to cook more than 5 dishes that make for a sumptuous and filling dinner. Aunty Puspa and the instructors were clear and enthusiastic.

I can't wait to cook these recipes again!

We had a lovely experience today in our cooking class. It's a hand on experience where they teach you the inspiration and out of not only Balinese recipes and dishes you're preparing, but also, their family and their home. It was a delight to cook along such a large group of lovely people. The owner lady (forgot her name sorry!: -/) was lovely and had good English. Her male counterpart (not her husband) was a bit hard to understand at times, but still understood enough to be able to make the dish again. They also are good at checking with individual dietary needs and allergies. Definitely a delightful experience and probably some of the best food we've had while in Bali.

Totally worth it. Best meal of the Indonesia trip. It is a must do in Ubud. The whole experience was amazing. Amazing host and staff. Tour to market, tour to explain the rice plantation, explaination of how the rooms are built in the house and their importance in the family and last but not the least, food. The host has a charming personality.

An overall great cooking class!
It has an affordable price with 250k/pp, extremely friendly and welcoming staff and they not only teach you how to cook, but also tell you something about Balinese culture.
The food in the end tasted amazing and we had a great time.
