Fantastic Balinese cooking class. Extremely well organised, Puspa is warm and professional. I walked away with delicious food in my belly and a deep sense of respect for Balinese food and the love and effort that goes into the dishes.

This was one of the highlights of our trip! We got a full explainer of all the ingredients and helped made multiple dishes. Additionally, they adjusted the recipes for my food allergies, so that I felt completely safe eating the food. I highly recommend this experience and the delicious meal you will make.

Paon Bali Cooking Class is the best! From the minute I entered Puspa’s home, I felt welcomed and cared for. She was a great host, taking time to tour me around her home. The cooking class used fresh ingredients and I learned so much from Puspa who is an experienced chef and great teacher. The kitchen was clean and hand sanitizer and gloves were provided. Thank you to Puspa and her whole family for welcoming me into their home!

I wrote to several cooking classes places and this was the only one that was still running classes (which makes sense, ubud is quite empty at the moment).

Puspa is warm, entertain, and a great host, she takes pride in her culture and in her food teaching.

I loved the cooking class and had an amazing time, i would highly recommend for people to give it a try.

An amazing Balinese cooking class.

We had the best time today at our cooking class today. We were welcomed with a refreshing drink and information about the home we would be cooking in. We then learnt about the ingredients we would be using. All the ingredients were explained to us and alternatives suggested if not available back home. We then got down to the food prep and cooking. We prepared the food using traditional Balinese methods, each explained along the way.

We then sat down to eat with a lovely view. After we finished we learnt how to make a Balinese puddings. All our food was yummy and there was even some left for a goody bag. We also took home a recipe book which we will definitely be using when we get back home.

We had an amazing experience at the cooking class and would recommend anyone to take part. Puspa and the ladies helping were all so friendly and made the experience very enjoyable.

It was a really nice cooking class. The lady of the house was teaching us herself and she was incredibly nice and helpful. She was not also a good teacher but also a great company, we were not bored even for a minute! There was a nice and comfortable atmosphere and we felt like cooking with family!
I recommend this place to everybody that wasn't to learn how to cook nice balinese dishes. They also have vegetarian options avaliable.

Pushpa is a consumate professional and a natural entertainer!   There was never a dull moment as she took us through the dishes we were to learn, a yellow curry, Gado Gado, tofu in banana leaf, a delicious salad oh and a sweet soy tempay dish which was to die for.   The whole operation was both slick and personable.   Puspa's English was excellent and we found that by their curating the cooking (they had pre- prepared some ingredients and had things like oil and spices measures out beforehand) it meant that we could concentrate on learning the subtley of the dishes: how long to cook each ingredient for, how much seasoning, what the overall feel should be.   Delighted to have found her, you can't go wrong!

Mrs Puspa and team really got us working! My partner and I left the kitchen earlier today with a massive smile (and a box of leftovers). It’s crazy how this season made us cook. And now we are able to make our own Balinese meal. Super excited. Thank you, Paon. Will definitely see you soon!

A MUST experience when you're in Ubud. Everybody goes on about trying a cooking class, and there's no better place to see what all the fuss is about. Puspa, the Host, Expert and Owner first made us feel right at home, as you pass by her humble abode, and two doggo's - an unforgettable welcoming. Then we were met with an apron, and the ingredients - a fantastic facility and vibrant faces as we entered. Her cooking assistants were lovely, while her direction, fun facts, and charisma led the 3 hours we had prepping, cooking and then eating the delicious meals was fantastic. We left with full bellies, smiles, and a hell of a lot learned about Balinese Cuisine! A fun experience with your loved ones, you're in the best of hands here.

My boyfriend and I had such an AMAZING time with Ibu Puspa! We learned a lot about balinese cooking, made lots of delicious food, and had so much fun! We highly recommend this cooking class for an authentic balinese experience. Ibu Puspa is the sweetest and she will make you feel at home:)

Nice experience, the staff did everything on their hands to make us have a good time. They took us to the market and we also stopped at a rice field. On arrival to the cooking school we got a fresh beverage and the class itself was very efficiently organized. The food was good!

It starts with a look at the produce on offer at the Ubud market and then off to the rice Paddy's. You get to look inside a family compound and their own temple (they all have them) so you are getting a taste of how the locals really live- not just what they eat.

It's pretty hands on with 8 dishes in all which you eat after. I'm keen to try and reproduce what we cooked back home with the recipe book provided that has the same dishes in it. It's a good day out.

We had a really wonderful morning with Puspa, Wayan and their team learning to cook a number of delicious Balinese dishes. We were collected bang on time and driven to the Ubud market, where we learned more about the fresh produce and spices that are traditionally used in Balinese cooking. We then drove to Puspa and Wayan’s house, via some paddy fields where we learned more about the rice growing process. Then we started preparing the most divine three-course meal under fantastic instruction, filled with humour, smiles and laughter. The best part is eating our handicraft at the end of the morning for lunch, and taking away the recipes to make at home. Thank you so much for such a great experience!

We had a great day at this cooking class. Very informative and well worth the time to attend. The hosts were very good and spoke English very well to explain what was happening. They had prepared the food for cooking which was also good to save time peeling potato’s and garlic etc. I would definitely recommend!

Had a great experience here today with Puspa. Came as part of a big group and it was great that we could all get involved in cooking. Upon arrival we were greeted by Puspa who kindly showed us around her home, and allowed us to visit her family temple. We were given refreshing welcome drinks and learnt about the history of her home. When it came to the cooking Pusba explained everything wonderfully. She was hilarious and her staff were too, which made the experience that bit better. The food we cooked was amazing. It was full of flavor and very tasty. At the end we were all given a copy of the recipes we just cooked, which was a nice little touch. The overall experience was amazing, I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and would deffinately recommend it to anyone who wants to learn how to cook amazing balinese cuisine.

Fantastic cooking class. Clear instructions and good level of involvement. Food tasted great and class size was about right. Very well run. Highly recommended as great experience while in Ubud.
