Villa Kayu Lama

Villa looks great. Pool, Ambiance & food are awesome. It is located far from Ubud center, you cannot go out from villa in the evening it will be very dark & you will find some different lizards, insects in night time as it is located in Rice fields.
We enjoyed a lot in the pool with rice field view & staff are very friendly.
It will perfect for honeymoon couple.

Stayed 3 nights in villa 6 during the first leg of my Bali honeymoon. The room was amazing. Bright, spacious and airy. High ceilings with huge bed and wall to wall windows. The vibe was so peaceful.

The service was amazing. Cleaning crew (5-7 people) came by everyday to make it look spotless. And I mean spotless. They even cleaned the windows outside. My wife's a clean freak and she approved highly.

The nasi goreng was the best I've had in Bali and the breakfast menu is more than insta worthy. The staff where so polite and helpful. Any issue we had the reception was so apologetic for and delt with it straight away.

I thought I'd give this place 4 stars because it is abit far from anything worth visiting. So without a scooter your abit isolated. However they have multiple shuttle services with pick up and drop off near Ubud market.

Last bit of negative is that the pool was cold. But that wouldn't be a problem depending on the weather.

In short Ill definitely be coming back here. I think 3-4 nights is plenty in this villa just to unwind from the busy vibe of kuta and other tourist hotspots.

Tempatnya bagus strategis mudah dijangkau karena berada dekat dari pusat wisata. Pemandangannya pun bagus Karena berada di areal persawahan dengan bangunan yang dilengkapi fasilitas pendukung untuk memanjakan tamu yang menginap

Though it is away from Ubud Central. It is definitely somewhere you wanna stay to relax and chill as it located in a quiet village. Much like a hidden gem. Staff are very friendly, helpful and genuine. Breakfast are tasty. We totally love the pool but it is too cold to enjoy at night since Ubud temperature tend to be lower. Being surrounded by nature, little insects and crawlies around are unavoidable. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay and we don't mind to be back.

Just a small suggestion to the management that they can consider serving breakfast with covers in room. My experience was a bit annoying as there were flies when I was trying to enjoy my meal. Dining in the lobby don't have such challenge. Cheers!

Went here for our honeymoon. Should have stayed the full time here. Was disappointed when we checked into the next Villa because Kayu Lama set the bar so high. Amazing service, great private location and good food. Love the gado gado.

Villa Kayu Lama is an indescribably great place!
Well, there are a few things to repair or here and there new color is needed. But: That does not matter!
Far away from tourism and very quiet - but the best thing about this villa are the staff! Everyone here is friendly, keeps smiling and helps wherever he can!
The transport to Ubud works wonderfully.
The breakfast - you can put yourself together - is very rich.
Also lunch and dinner taste excellent.
Every request from us was taken seriously and processed quickly.

We are very thankful that we could spend my friend's birthday here. Although the day of rest was in Bali we had a wonderful day with a lovely birthday cake from the villa.

The place is good. Breakfast included and it's delicious. The price was reachable and worth. I spent 1 night there and feel so satisfied.

The Villa Kayu Lama is an unbelievable value. Incredible service, warm friendly and accommodating. If you are looking to experience the real balinenese culture and hospitality there is no substitute. Beautiful villas with every imaginable amenity, great food and free home cooked breakfast. This is no tourist trap. It is definitely my new home away from home in Bali.

P. S ask to have Sujana as your tour guide. He is fantastic and saved us a bundle shopping at all the right places.

Highly recommended. The Villa is spacious and clean. Service was outstanding. Food was amazing and reasonably priced.
The place is about 20-30 minutes away from Ubud, but shuttle buses are offered. It's also nice to stay away from the busy city.

The staff were caring and frindly, we enjoyed cycling around the villa and passing through the villages of balinese people using the bicycle provided by the villa, and the free shuttle to Ubud Center was a good service also.

I think the villa needs rennovation, it appears old. The pool had leaves falling from the surrounding trees. The food was not tasty with lots of salt and oil.

Loved our stay here. Best spot we stayed in Bali. Beautiful villas, gracious staff and good food. Recommend taking a tour with one of their drivers. Our driver Sujana was awesome, took us to less tourist populated areas and was all around a great guy.

We a little miscommunication at the booking nur the Problem could be solved to our convinience immediately. Very very friendly staff, good english skills. The Villas are astonishing beautiful 9/10 for them from me.

We absolutely loved our 11 night stay here. The villas and grounds are very beautiful. The breakfast delivery each day was amazing and spending lazy mornings by the pool overlooking the rice field was our favorite part of our trip. Every one of the staff are extremely helpful and friendly and are there 24/7 for whatever you might need. It is about a 15 minute scooter ride to Ubud, but this didn't bother us and we would definitely stay here again.
