The people and the service were amazing!

The rice fields looked a bit dried up and didnt quite live up to the pictures on the website. However, this could be due to the harvest.

Beautiful villa as seen in the photos, we thought it was wonderful, we took the honeymoon package and dinner, the details of the flowers were perfect! Excellent choice

Perfect place to stay. We stayed in the 2 bedroom private pool villa. The villa is beautiful. The staff are ever so friendly and helpful. The rice fields around villa are so nice, very clean. We had a perfect experience. Highly recommended

Friendly staff, amazing services, the location is in the middle of a rice field so it will take you minutes to get to the middle of Ubud but we liked the quietness and the view.
Our villa was spacious and very clean.
I will only recommend to add more options of breakfast dishes.

My husband and I booked this stunning villa for our Honeymoon in August 2022, and were absolutely blown away! We booked the honeymoon package in a (very) private villa for the first 5 nights of our 2 week trip, and wish we stayed here longer! Villa Kayu Lama truly exceeded expectations. The service was excellent, breakfast was phenomenal, and the villa is just beautiful. The staff are so friendly and there for you whenever you need them. Each day they tidy up and (I assume) spray insect repellent because we never had an issue with ants or anything unless food was left out. Waking up to the peaceful sounds of the jungle with fresh juice and breakfast by our own private pool was so relaxing and dream-like. They even offer airport pickup AND a free shuttle into town each day if you hadn't arranged for a scooter rental! The staff graciously set up a flower bath and bedspread upon arrival, as well as a full service private romantic dinner setup on our patio surrounded by candles and flower petals. The massages were in separate rooms, which wasn't a big deal, but if you like a deep tissue massage then this place is for you!
My hubby and I still dream about our stay at Villa Kayu Lama, and will certainly be back on our next trip to Ubud, Bali!

Beautiful, peaceful place with views of the rice paddies and friendly staff. Great location outside the hustle of Ubud with great little bars and markets nearby. Spa treatments were lovely and food was delicious. Highly recommend:)

Had a pleasant stay here. We booked 2bedroom private pool villa. They gave us 2 unit of 1br private pool with connecting doors. The villa is quiet perfect for escaping the hustle bustle of the city life and quite clean. Too bad there’s this cat which always come to our villa and try to steal the food (and yes the cat successfully ate some) so be aware if leaving your food outside

Everything Amazing! Staff so accomodating, beautiful pool and massive rooms. Oh and the free breakfast was so worth it!

Such an incredible place to stay, in beautiful peaceful surroundings that offer the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of Ubud. Highly recommend the cooking class offered at the Villa. Can’t wait to come back!

Stayed in the one-bedroom villa. It's very spacious and clean. We enjoyed the pool very much. Room service food was also delicious with appropriate portions.

Villa is 10 minutes away from the Ubud center, but they provide free shuttle bus at 10 am, 2 pm and 6 pm. Would be nice if they have a schedule for noon though.

The room was amazing. Spacious, private and well designed to merged with the surrounding paddy fields. If you're looking for a tranquil stay, this is it. However we kinda dissapoited with the service. We have to ask for complimentary bottled water everyday and when we ask for additional, they charged us. By spending over 1 mil/night, this is not what you would've expect.

(This review is based on me and my wife honeymoon stay at 2016).
I stayed there with my wife for 5 nights to celebrating our honeymoon and it was an outstanding experience.
The villa surrounding was so serene, peaceful and relaxing. It's surrounded by the beautiful rice paddy fields. That's all what we are looking for, we're looking for a place to getaway from our buzzing life.
A bit unfortunate for us that our villa view was an after harvest rice fields side. But despite that, it's all just excellent.
The villa both of exterior and interior was just gorgeous. The private pool was really nice and beautiful, the bed was big and comfortable, the bathroom including the bathtub was very nice.
The staff service were just something else. They're so attentive and kind to provide us the best experience. Mba Ani, Mba Hepi, Mba Savitri and Mba Astri did a great job to serve us there.
The remote location of the villa was not an issue for us, but just for information it was fairly near to go to Ubud Center for around 20-30 minutes by motorcycle.
We will certainly coming back there and recommend it to our family and friends.

Yes. Paradise found in Bali. Well, at least Ubud. Great boutique Villa complex, with great service and food. Private pool Villa is just amazing.
