Ulu Segara Luxury Suites & Villas

Loved our stay here. Ocean views for days. Relaxed atmosphere with very few children around. It is tucked away so we made use of the shuttle into town and grabbed our supplies for the week.
The kayaks and snorkelling where a bonus also as well as the lazy days on the beach.
Food was great, always served with a smile and very tasty.

Everything is amazing, but it's too far from everything. It's in very very isolated area. If going first time, I would say please avoid going in night, otherwise it will be very scary.

The room was big and had a beautiful view of the ocean. The staff was very friendly as well. Only downside is as things are still opening up and staffing levels aren't full yet there were limitations on activities. The spa was very relaxing. Also the resort is quiet and peaceful, however nothing is close by to walk to, so you have to get a grab or taxi to get around. I would stay here again.

Cant harp enough on the view.we had a room with balcony overlooking the pool and the ocean, and it has the most amazing view.the bathroom has 2 sinks and a bathtub with a separate section for bathing.coming to food, they had a separate menu for veg as well.had the rentang mushroom dish and safu tohu dish with some pork dishes, both were good.we were a little dissapointed with the breakfast though, in terms of variety and taste.they have a swim up bar, beach bar with free snorkelling and canoeing.defo recommend.

Wow do not eat here. The food is truly terrible. Everything from the breakfast buffet to poolside snacks to lunch. On an island with so many incredibly good and cheap food options, just go somewhere else.

The hotel is a bit tired. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Location was a bit remote and everything required a taxi trip.

Kamarnya luas banget, bersih dan cukup mewah. Pelayanannya baik. Karena lokasi jauh (paling ujung) kami males keluar, jadi sering pesan Gofood, makanan diantar sampai depan kamar. Cocok untuk healing. Paling demen menikmati suara ombak di balkon kamar, pemandangan langsung laut.

Stayed for 2 weeks in a 1 bedroom Villa -
I believe it’s important to provide a honest constructive review for future guests.
Keeping in mind that Covid is only just ending and most facilities in Bali are a little forgotten while they get fixed up again.
Overall Ulu Segara is a safe, and cosy resort that caters for your holiday needs.
It is the smaller resort in the area, therefore you will not get the grand amenities of larger hotels.
Food is good but nothing extravagant. All meals were well cooked with nothing to complain about, but it’s not ‘luxury’ plated.
Gym is dingy and mouldy and needs a facelift urgently.
The spa is half branded as the old brand and half as the new. The treatment room (1 in operation) is very basic and I’d hesitate to say that they change their sheets between treatments. Too cheap for a ‘luxury’ resort. In honestly, I was travelling locally to other resort spas for better experiences.
We stayed in a Villa with private pool. We loved the pool and the view.
Few remarks about the villa:
- they need new beds - it killed my back.
- They need a little bit of TLC and maintenance for the price you pay - (water fountains not working, leaking wall during rain, tile grout is missing in the bathroom, curtains falling off the ceiling, grass is not mowed.)
The staff are fabulous A+, they learnt our names, our regular orders and were very helpful whenever needed.
We got some experiences while we were staying including the Balinese cooking class - very well run and educational, the floating breakfast - really simple and good idea, and the private 5 course dinner at our villa - enjoyable, and romantic, however all the courses were left at the same time and the staff ran off because they were understaffed at the restaurant. This meant some of the food was cold and we had to microwave it…
The resort in general does needs some maintenance - the grass is long, and a water gurney would do wonders to the dirty pavers, moss on walls and poolside fountains/walls. The wood in a lot of areas is decaying and needs replacement. 1 or 2 more cleaners/maintenance staff in the public areas would be beneficial.
The resort should alternate between having the beach club and pool side bar open as it is currently closed and would add atmosphere to the public area.
In general: we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, it was private and pretty.
Not sure if we would stay again, perhaps until the upkeep has been improved.

Room is really spacious, with big window and balcony to oceanview.
Perfect for honeymoon, looking for secluded area.
View is just breathtaking.
You will see paragliding pass the hotel many times.
Hotels provide kayak, but u need to book it first and approved by their life guard. When the tide is high, they will not let you to go.
The beach in front of the hotel is rocky, but you can always take a walk to left or right side (to other villas) and find more sandy beach.

Can't get enough by waking up n going to sleep hearing the sounds of the wave crashing. So peaceful.
However, we stayed here for 2 weeks. So we get tired of eating the same thing from the restaurant. Their location is really secluded, so its really hard to find and order gofood/grabfood. Limited options of restaurant n it takes minimum an hour for food to be delivered.
Also the road to go to their villa is not properly managed from the main road, it's uneven, rocky and limited street lights. 2x we went to wrong direction bcs there's no lights directing to their way.

The staff is super friendly.
Breakfast buffet is good and restaurant also provide good food.

Hotel di Nusa Dua Bali, dgn harga kamar oke, tapi banyak kekurangan di fasilitas spt lounge tdk berfungsi, gym tidak berfungsi, kano yg sangat susah utk diminta pengoperasian nya, begitu juga dgn spa nya

Hotel ini terletak di bagian ujung Nusa Dua dan termasuk kawasan yang sepi. Meski termasuk resort bintang 5, pelayanan dari para staf dan fasilitas kurang sesuai, mungkin karena efek dari pandemi. Untuk menuju ke kamar diantar dgn buggy karena jaraknya cukup jauh. Semua kamar disini ocean view dan sangat luas. Fasilitas di kamar cukup lengkap: ada TV, sofa, kulkas, microwave, bathtub. Ada extra charge untuk anak di bawah 12th sebesar 200rb (termasuk breakfast, tanpa extra bed). Bila request extra bed dikenakan charge 350rb include breakfast.
Di depan kamar ada balkon yang menghadap ke laut. Pantai di sini tidak bisa dibuat bermain anak-anak karena banyak bebatuan. Di sini juga disediakan fasilitas sepeda dan ada guidenya.
Breakfast bisa request diantar ke kamar. Menu breakfastnya standart, rasanya cukup oke.

The Ulu Segara is a nice place to stay and relax. The room is huge, with sofas, kitchen but without stove, microwave, refrigerator, 55” flat TV with cable programs. Reach the Ground level there is a lagoon style swimming pool with various depth from 120 to 180 cm. Walk down through stair case there is the beach or what they called Solace Beach… Through the balcony the Sunrise looks so pretty, but need to wake up much earlier…

Unfortunately one of our party contracted Covid-19 and we had to cancel. Ulu Segara cancelled our booking and waived the cancellation fee - this is amazing service and we are very grateful. We will definitely re-book when we have recovered - it’s nice to have confidence that Ulu Segara will look after you (even before you get there).

Hotelnya bagus tapi pelayanan dan managernya asli kurang ajar yah.banyak hotel lain yang lebih ok.

It's a fantastic resort to unwind and recharge. The staff is attentive and helpful. Huge clean room with a beautiful full view of the Indian Ocean at the balcony. Spend the day at the balcony listening to the waves, enjoying the sea breeze and rejuvenating your mind.

The restaurant also serve great local and international cuisines which always make me hungry.

Quite spacious Apartmentlike-Rooms with a double door fridge & microwave available, wide screen TV with bluetooth soundsystem and sofa, wide balcony to enjoy the breathtaking Ocean View.
Bathtub with direct view of the ocean & skies from inside the room!
Lovely infinity pool with 80 cms, 140 cms & 180 cms depths that perhaps management might consider adding a heater so guests can enjoy longer dips.
Friendly and helpful Staffs.
Could do with more attention towards condition of linen and/or equipments.
