We had the most relaxing stay here, far away from city noise and traffic, a very special place. Delicious food fresh from their garden. The owner and staff are all very kind and helpful.

Amazing place and environment to get away from the busy areas elsewhere in Bali. The integration of the lodge with nature is utterly fantastic and you will feel comfortably submerged in this fantastic lowland Batukaru forest. The rainforest is just less than a kilometer away and there are plenty of activities to do. Hiking, birdwatching, cycling, swimming in the natural pool, massages, yoga, and much more. We had a great time reenergizing and connecting with nature. The bungalows are great and the food is just lovely. Satisfaction guaranteed!

Nestled in nature, amongst the breeze/mist/clouds (depending on day and weather) was a much-needed gateway from our previous city life. The bungalows are very comfortable and sleeping amongst the sounds of nature we felt recharged every day. We were fortunate to get a chance to stay here for a month and not a single day was boring. Our bungalow, Rumah Manis has sweeping views right down to Southern Bali and the tip of Uluwatu.

The restaurant was a fun place to hang out, especially when it rained to enjoy a pot of tea, to socialize or even to peruse a book from the on-site library. The food was great as it was prepared by talented and friendly local staff using fresh organic ingredients, most of which was from the garden. We met other guests who have since become friends, a sign that this place attracts nice people!

A couple of the biggest highlights for us were the crystal clear natural pool (perfect for a hot sunny day!) just a few steps down from the restaurant, and the great massage treatments available from the trained village women (ask for Ibu Rusi if you like it strong!).

The staff and the family who own and run the lodge are very friendly and are always willing to share their abundant knowledge of sustainable living and permaculture practices. They are indeed walking the talk. We came as strangers, we left as friends.

I have found my favourite getaway spot in the world! Everything about Sarinbuana Eco Lodge is amazing. I stayed in Rumah Manis for 3 nights (check out their solo traveller package), the bungalow is cozy & comfortable along with being very private. Completely surrounded by lush tropical gardens & rainforests. The natural water pool is beautiful and feels amazing to be in. The food served at the restaurant is unlike anything I have had - it fresh, tasty (lots of fresh herbs from their garden) & healthy with so many incredible options. The family who owns the eco lodge are welcoming, kind & very knowledgeable on plants, permaculture, the surrounding environment etc! The perfect place to getaway and really immerse in nature!

Sudah beberapa kali ke Bali, tapi baru kali ini menemukan penginapan yang mengusung prinsip ramah lingkungan di kaki Gunung Batukaru. Hanya ada beberapa bungalows tanpa Ac, lengkap dengan kolam renang yang beda daripada yang lain. Semua air yang ada disini bersumber dari mata air Gunung, begitupula kolam renangnya. Sehingga disebut dengan Natural pool, tanpa bahan kimia apapun dan disaring dengan metode yg mirip dengan proses dialam. Tempat ini sejuk dan cocok banget buat santai, atau sambil wfh. Restorannya menyediakan makanan yg unik dan worth to try. Beberapa bahannya diambil langsung dari kebun mereka. Segar dan organik. Mereka juga mengolah sampah organik mereka dengan melakukan composting. I feel recharge after 3 days staying in this place. Buat yg berkeluarga dan punya anak, disini banyak kegiatan seru yg dekat dengan alam buat mengisi waktu. Bersepeda, hiking, trekking, atau main ke curug yang berada di area penginapan mereka bisa menjadi kegiatan yang refreshing. I would love to come back here definately ️

What an absolutely magical and magnificent place. As a professional in sustainable tourism development, it is rare that I am truly impressed by the social, economic, and environmental impact of an eco-resort, and Sarinbuana is truly one of those that manages to positively impact all three. Their new natural pool is just one of the many facets of the place that speaks to the ecological impact while sustaining incredible beauty and close community relations. It was such a pleasure to talk to the owners and their journey over the past several decades building the place. We also had a great afternoon hike with the very knowledgeable Ibu Dina, who knew basically every single plant in the forest! During Covid times of isolation this place is nothing short of perfection. Thank you for a wonderful stay and conversation-keep doing what you're doing!

Thank you Sarinbuana Ecolodge, Bali! I had a wonderful time in your eco resort and home. Your gardens are pristine and every bungalow is beautiful and special. So much love and care goes into it all. I got to stay in the Javanese traditional teak house which I had been “eyeing” for a while (Monkey bungalow).
The gardens are not only beautiful but they provide all the organic gourmet food that is as much a feast for the eyes as for the palate. Your chocolate mousse is truly epic.
And I was so happy I could meet Ketut, who helped 4 of us carve just any animal we asked for, during his workshop. Fun and magic if you ask me: o). If I chopped something away by mistake, say an ear, Ketut would say “No problem”, and the ear would make a come back!
Also, I had not slept so well in such a long time too (I am sure Rusi’s massage helped). Working on the next trip.

A place in the heart of the mini forest on the slope of the mount Batukaru. Very natural, very quiet with the original nature sound: Birds chirping. They serve you with a natural pool made from the wild river in the bottom of the hilk.enjoy the wild and beauty of nature

Such a great escape into nature! I stayed here for a few weeks to gain a different perspective on Bali and there were so many memorable things about the ecolodge: how eco-friendly they are with everything from the food they cook, to the garden they grow, to the bungalows guests stay in; not to mention the delicious VEGAN desserts they homemake, their super friendly dogs: Saski and Cruzer and most incredible of all: the lush green surroundings that remind you of how beautiful life is in its purest, natural form. Such a great experience!

I would not recommend this place to anyone, not even to so called “backpackers” that dont mind going it rough. For what they charge it is still not worth it. Management is void, left to locals with minimal training to carry out. Owner Norman, explodes in angry and unreasonable fits of rages, upsetting guests the local villagers, encourages guests to explore the area without any advice to respect to local customs and safety. Food is outrageously expensive for what it is like fried rice! Buildings are not maintained for hygiene and basic necessities.

There is something about the feel of Sarinbuana as you walk down the path to the lodge that makes you feel like you're leaving everything behind and makes you take a big exhale of release. The location is one of the factors that makes this retreat so special. Completely isolated and surrounded by a lush jungle but still elevated to enjoy the views of Bali. There is an abundance of walks to do; either by yourself or with a guide and chances are high you won't see another tourist.
Everything is exactly as it is described on the website- this is a place to re-charge in nature- it is not for people looking for action and distraction. I was so glad to discover that places like this still exist in Bali. Thank you for keeping it special.
They only had vacancy at the Monkey Bungalow at the time of booking which is the budget option. It would be perfect for 2 people and didn't have a 'budget' feel however the only thing I would say is that there isn't a huge amount of total privacy as it is right by the gardens and the monkey cage so people constantly walk past or hang out near by and it felt a bit invasive at times. The other bungalows looked amazing though and were very secluded so this will definitely be my choice next time I come.
For me, there was literally not one thing to fault.

I was at sarinbuana for a long stay and absolutely loved it. The room was just perfect. Private, spacious and extremely comfortable beds. I had the best sleeps here, not only because it was so peaceful and quiet here but there is something about the lodge that instantly relaxes you. The food is on another level, delicious nourishing meals that the local staff make. Nothing is missed here. Staff are amazing, the family is so friendly and welcoming and the massages are also a definite! Highly recommend a stay here.

My time spent at the eco lodge completely changed my view of Bali. The Tabanan region where the lodge is located is stunning- endless rice fields, lush jungles, abundant plant life, quiet village life. It has been my favorite part of Bali for sure. Do you know when you enter a space and it just feels right? The energy at the lodge is warm and welcoming and I immediately felt so comfortable and relaxed. This is largely attributed to the incredible staff who are some of the friendliest people I have met always with shining smiles to greet you.
The lodge is truly an eco lodge with sustainability at its core. So many resorts these days are greenwashing for business but this place is the real deal. The food is incredible- many amazing vegan options and so so fresh! You can see the staff running out to the garden to pick herbs and veggies fresh for your meals. The dining area created the most beautiful atmosphere and the intimate size of the lodge made it easy to connect with other guests.
You won't run out of things to do here either! My favorite thing was just wandering around the local area with so much magic around every corner. There are 3 beautiful natural swimming holes on the property for the perfect afternoon cool off and morning yoga was one of the my favorite activities. On site massages are also a great way to rewind after a long trek or adventure.
A true slice of heaven in the Balinese jungle! Came back here a second time at the end of my Bali trip because I couldn't resist and I know I will be back again soon:)
