Sarinbuana Eco Lodge

Absolutely enchanting and entrancing lush eco-garden location in the cool and mystical mountains of Central Bali. Everything is a delight from the cute, rustic bungalows to the great food and smiling, helpful staff. Seriously, I'd live there if I could! 11/10

Hard to put into words the amazing week I had at the Saribuana Eco Lodge. A big Terima kasih to the whole team, and especially Oska, who made me feel at home. If you're looking for a beautiful place in nature where you can relax and do something good for your body and soul, this is truly the perfect place. I will definitely come back:)

We stayed in the Senanga Rainforest Cabin and we loved it. This is the closest access to Bali's remaining rainforest. Amazing. Remember to shop ahead and bring food and supplies, and you can get amazing food from Simons place down the road easily. The system wide community approach to a living food forest system in the area as led by Surinbuana Eco Lodge is an excepetional model for tourism worldwide.

It is expensive but the place is well worth it. I would have loved to spend more time there.

I really enjoyed my time at the Eco Lodge. It's perfect to relax and recover from the stressful everyday life. The remote location invites you to wonderful excursions, the food is fantastic and the team makes you feel at home. I would love to come back.

My recent stay at Sarinbuana Ecolodge's Senanga cabin was truly enchanting. Nestled by the edge of a national park, this Japanese-inspired cabin offered tranquility, serenity, and stunning views of the surrounding jungle and Batukaru mountain.

The peaceful melody of exotic birds served as a charming soundtrack to the stay. An absolute highlight was the second floor's fire pit. It provided a cozy spot to relax, and the sunrise views from there, coffee in hand, were truly breathtaking.

Though the cabin comes with a little kitchen, we didn't think to bring any food. Luckily the ecolodge's restaurant, a convenient 10 to 15-minute walk from the cabin, served excellent meals to round off the day.

Sarinbuana Ecolodge's Senanga cabin is a serene escape from the ordinary, a must-visit for those seeking a peaceful retreat in the embrace of nature.

Excellent food, don’t worry about going to Sarinbuana eco lodge and having only one place for meals, the meals are really good and chef works so hard. The food was really delicious. Breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner, varied and really tasty. We had Indonesian food, nasi goreng and Mie goreng, pizza, and hummus with homemade crackers. Desserts, pancakes, icecream. Choc icecream came with these small tiny doughnuts on top (cassava) they were really good. They also have cooking classes.

Great place to spend time in nature. Trekking, reading, yoga etc.

Loved our stay at Sarinbuana Eco Lodge! Definitely worth exploring a different part of Bali and escaping the hustle and bustle of the usual tourist areas. Each room is nestled away in the jungle and has its own traditional Balinese style that makes you feel connected with the culture. The staff are all so welcoming and the food is amazing! Definitely recommend the coconut ice cream! Can’t wait to visit again.

I stayed at Sarinbuana for 6 nights. Words can’t describe how special this place is. On top of being in such a beautiful setting, the lodge has been built and maintained with so much love and care. Everyone is welcomed like family and there is a genuine desire for guests to be included and comfortable. All the staff and guests I came across in the time I was there were so bright, happy and friendly. It felt like it was home.

Being amongst nature in the least obstructive way possible was also a privilege. I would come back over and over, no question.

We had a superb three nights at Sarinbuana and it exceeded expectations. Brilliant place for kids. We had our four year old son with us. (He notably got a spectacular bout of Bali belly most likely picked up before we arrived, which involved being sick in a public area, also meaning we had to cancel our hike, and the staff dealt with it graciously and sympathetically, thank you!). We booked the flute making workshop and it was loads of fun. Made was hilarious. The pool is fantastic with all the friendly fishes. And the water hole was a fun refreshing experience. Food was great, extremely veggie friendly. Best thing was probably the staff. Lovely helpful team; everyone from those cleaning our room up to management. (Plus the resident doggies and cats!) Will endeavour to return! Ignore reviews saying there is nowhere else to eat. There is literally a local Warung at end of the path and a fancy restaurant round the corner so if for some reason you really want to eat elsewhere there are options.

We did not stay here but ate at the restaurant, and it was one of the best meals I've had in Bali. The salak crumble is not to be missed. The salak (snake fruit) that grows up here is the sweetest on the island. The lodge looks awesome and we would stay here on another visit.

This place is magical and unlike anywhere else. I visited in 2019 and brought my parents and partner with me this year and everyone fell in love with it. Felt like a second home!

Rooms and bungalows are amazing and unique; built with traditional and natural materials.

The restaurant is spectacular with an awesome selection of healthy, delicious foods, both local and international.

They offer a ton of unique activities (hikes, biking, rice terraces, driving day trips, cooking classes, carving classes, etc) that are near and far and have something for just about everyone. Very family friendly. And now a fresh water pool with little fish to provide pedicures and a stone pizza oven. And of course the massage bale is heavenly.

They also hire locally and provide so much support to their local community in so many ways and let you know the various ways you can help. Love love love.

This place is very much a part of the natural environment so if you're looking for air con, constant wifi access, TV and no interaction with nature (the elements, flora and fauna) this isn't for you. But if you want to be fully engulfed in the amazing mountains of Bali and have a truly unique experience - reserve now!

I hope to go back again

A beautiful place full of nature in Bali. If you are looking for a few days of calm, private waterfalls and nature everywhere, this is your place. A place to spend a few days alone to enjoy yourself and be with yourself or to share with your partner or family and eat deliciously. You cannot compare this place with others, nor the location, service, price, view, etc. See yourself and find out.

Everything that you need.
A simple wooden bungalow with running water and electricity in a farm near a rainforest. Hot/cold shower, internet connection. Great food, chemical free swimming pool/fish spa, a real spa. Good books (I was reading Sekala Niskala, essays on Balinese religions-virtually on Balinese social structures. Was tempted to steal it, but the shelf warning sign said karma will work its way to book thieves too), musical instruments, toys to distract your kids from devices. Life is good in the farm.

We have now hosted our 2nd, week long, men's yoga retreat at the lodge. It really is a special place where you will feel welcomed as soon as you walk down the long path to the lodge.

Such an amazing hidden gem outside of the touristic areas of Bali. The VERY best food we ate in our three weeks in Bali. The massage shala was in such a good location. The yoga shala was incredible. Went on two amazing private tours (hike and bike ride) - both were so amazing with such a good tour guide (Thanks Agus). We only stayed three nights and that’s the only thing I regret- would have loved to try even more of the delicious meals.

We absolutely loved staying at the Eco Lodge that after leaving to continue our travels we decided to change our plans and went back for an extra four days. Every single person working there were incredibly kind, helpful and friendly. We felt very welcome and could not recommend staying here enough.

The food was absolutely delicious and the activities were great. Highly recommend the massages we had 5 in 11 days!

The only thing I wish we had was more days staying there - miss it so much already and will definitely be going back - can’t fault any of it.

Our 5 night stay in Saribuana Eco Lodge was wonderful. We stayed in the Monkey Bungalow above the vegetable garden and next to the monkey sanctuary. The bungalow was comfortable, with a good bed and a nice bathroom attached by a very short bridge to the bungalow. No problems with musquitoes. Only the gekko on the roof made sometimes loud noices, but we were happy with that. An early morning there was a great concert of birdsongd. The restaurant provides good healthy food for reasonable prices. In addition we enjoyed the natural swimmingpool, massages and nice workshops on wood carving and herbal healing. Very friendly people. Highly recommended!

This is such a Soul nurturing gentle place to stay. The staff seem so happy and welcoming. This was my second trip. The first time I was solo. The 2nd I decided to bring my family so they too could experience the peace and tranquility. The views from the bungalows are magnifque.
