Royal Kamuela Villas & Suites - Monkey Forest Ubud

Do not hesitate to choose this property when you stay in ubud. The staff is super friendly, you will feel like home. The villa is spacious, comfort, well maintained, lovely. The private pool is quite big and the jacuzzi is big, enough for 2 people at once.
The villa is very close to sacred monkey forest, can be reached by walking. So, in the morning, there might be monkeys come to your villa looking for food, better to have your breakfast inside room. But the monkeys will not come down if there is no food outside.
I had lovely 3 nights staying at royal kamuela, sure willing to come back.

A nice clean and welcoming hotel in Ubud! The staff is amazing, breakfast is top! Everything is very clean and spacious. Loved every moment of my time there.

Another thing why I give you a 5 star is because you take care of the cats and kittens. Animal welfare should get better in Bali and you people are giving the right example! Please share the word with other hotels and don't forget the free sterilisation program at Villa Kitty or other animal welfare organisations. Hope to see you soon!

This was our first stay in Ubud and it set the bar very high! It is a beautiful resort with any amenity you can think of. It has two very large pools, a gym, spa, sauna, restaurant and bar on-site. Room service was the absolute best with incredible food! The staff are all very helpful and sweet. They even set up a flower bath for us which was heavenly. Would recommend for your next trip to Ubud!

Great, tranquil hotel in the heart of Ubud. Very good service and enjoyable stay. Highly recommended. Where other hotels give you a small bath tub, this one gives you a proper large square tub which is great for kids.

Plus: swimming pool is very clean, water is balanced with no weird taste or too chlorinated.

Note: lots of monkeys, but then again the hotel is close to Monkey Forest so it is expected. Just keep your foods close and guard it with your life

I stayed in the single occupancy Villa, the hospitality and customer service was impeccable. The experience was surreal, having an out door common with a personal pool was fantastic. The breakfast was great and the overall experience of staying in a villa so close to a forest was breathtaking. I would definitely stay there again should I go visit Bali.

So tranquilly resort to spend your holiday, near the Monkey Forest Sanctuary and of course also located near centre of Ubud.

Too many wild monkeys with less park/forest ranger, ended up with hotel's security being so busy to get the monkeys away by pretending to shot them with (fake) catapult. Poor monkeys because hotels staff said there is no more (or now much less) food coverage from the tickets fee because this pandemic so tourists dont come to Bali especially to forests like this one. Let's ptay for the best that iur government does now. Amen

Lovely rooms and wonderful staff at this hotel. I stayed for 10 days and it was a incredible value and I was very sad to leave!

Surprisingly a hidden gem in monkey forest area, well maintain of room on this pandemic season, very good service and proactive staff, feels like your second home.
We were in house for Nyepi escape, and definetely we would love to comeback.

I would like to appreciate the staffs and management for keeping this place very clean despite the pandemi resulting lower hotel occupancy. My room is spotless how u guys maintain the bathroom so well? Currently no buffet breakfast however they will deliver the food to your room and their nasi goreng is delicious.love the little touch as aromatherapy in the bathroom and love the smell of your soap / shampoo. Great that you didn't use anymore toiletries in small plastic bottles. More environmentally friendly.

Fantastic location and we were lucky enough to stay in one of the AMAZING villas. The staff at Kamuela were absolutely beautiful, friendly and ever so helpful. I look forward to coming back and spending more time there:)

By far the best overall value in Ubud. Between the location, the quality, professionalism and friendliness of staff to the incredible food and room amenities this is an amazing property that is a must stay while in Ubud. Kudos to The Royal Kamuela. This was my third, and definitely not my last stay at this hotel.

A beautiful, quiet, and luxurious retreat in Ubud. Wonderfully attentive and professional staff. Large and well appointed rooms are off the Main Street and very quiet at night. As of this review there was some construction noise in the surrounding area during the day. You’re on vacation - enjoy yourself here!

My only tip: another step into pool; the first step is very long. A bit hard for someone getting older.
