Royal Kamuela Villas & Suites - Monkey Forest Ubud

Very luxurious hotel and the staff treated us as family. Suli, Wayan, Ichi, and Ari were so kind and took care of any need we had. They took us on day tours, and taxi’d us around when needed. The beds were very comfortable, the room was clean, and the showers were relaxing with a rainfall shower head. We especially enjoyed the double person bathtub. The pool was perfect, and you could order yummy food from the restaurant. You should not miss this hotel, highly highly recommended!

Lovely, helpful and professional staff at a great location. Spacious and clean suites, our was with direct pool access from the terrace. Awesome breakfast served in a very instagrammable way:)
The monkeys are as advertised. They can be really fun sights as they play, can be somewhat aggressive, but not really dangerous.

We stayed here for 4 nights last month (2/2023). We had 5-20 monkeys in our backyard every single morning. The Villa is so beautiful and we loved the pool and waterfall. The service is great, the breakfast with the amazing view was a great addition too. Beautiful bathroom and huge bathtub & shower. Walking distance to so many shops, food, and the monkey forest is at the end of the road. We got a motorbike which made it easier to get around. I would 100% stay here again.

Putu, Dwik, Purnama, Adi and the rest of the restaurant team were great. All the meals from breakfast to lunch, from room service to dinner were well presented and tasted great ;) we will be back! Also the spa (Ketut) was amazing. I went back twice for a relaxing massage ;) Thank you all!

Our first time in Ubud and we booked Royal Kamuela. Ill give them 6 stars if I could. The staff were all very attentive and courteous. Room was excellent and spotless clean. It was our anniversary and the hotel team even put swan towels on our bed! Anis was amazing and kind. I’ll definitely book again!

Looks amazing, but when we arrived we were told that no kids are allowed. The stupidest thing is that you only see it in their policy, that nobody ever reads, and no refunds at all are allowed. Such a weird and painful experience in Bali with kids.

This hotel gives you whatever is more than your expectation. When you see the entrance and reception at first, you may think it’s just a normal and common hotel. But when you start to walk to your room, you’ll be surprised at how big it is and high quality of their service and facilities.
It’s like you’re walking through tunnel that leads you to whole another space in a minute. You’ll be teleported from a normal street to quiet and peaceful jungle.
Staff there is super kind, welcoming and friendly.

Staying at Royal Kamuela was the best decision to end our one month trip to Bali. We stayed at the most beautiful suite with pool access and it was even more beautiful than we could’ve imagined. The pool area is the highlight of the hotel and we enjoyed every part of it. We also tried their SPA treatments (balinese massage and citrus bath) which maximazed our relaxing stay. The staff of Royal Kamuela and their Shrida restaurant is another reason to stay at this beautiful hotel. They were all very kind, proffered and helpful. They made us feel very welcome. The entire hotel including the room, common areas, restaurant and the SPA was very beautiful and clean. The food in the restaurant was also delicious. We highly recommend you to stay at Royal Kamuela at Monkey Forest

DON'T STAY HERE DURING WET SEASON. In our room #205 the water was coming from under the floor and the stuff could do nothing to fix it. They only said that the floor covering needs to be changed but they can't do it right now. They even didn't give us another room, so we lived in such conditions for 2 days and 2 nights, with wet towels on the floor and wet carpet. It is not a 5-star treatment, so the hotel is not worth it's money. Also it is impossible to stay on the balcony when it rains because the water is coming from the roof due to construction features.

Very important is that it's an adults only hotel! It has to be put on their name. We booked a room for three nights, arrived with our daughter, no refund. Not a single night

I understand that reading a policy is a nice habit but a significant percentage of people don't read those so at least refunding a portion of money would be a good idea.

Another tip: put "Adults only" to the hotel name so it's super visible and obvious

- Super friendly staff;
- Modern interior, great facilities and comfortable bed and bed sheets;
- Location right next to main Ubud attractions and bars.

Villa met all of our expectations, it was great and comfortable experience to spend days and nights in it. Proximity to best spots in Ubud, comfortable interior and exterior (covered outside area allows to spend nice time even during rain) - highly recommended!

Smack dab in the middle of it all. We were only here for one night. But hotel was classy and fabulous. Staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. One of the staff members helped me and my fam put on our Sarang! She was so nice and made our stay even better. We had breakfast in the restaurant and it was on point. Don’t miss the breakfast!

Amazing villa and private pool. Staff are so friendly. Monkeys do make an appearance but are no problem. I would happily stay here again when in the region. Also, the drivers/tours are worth booking through the hotel. We'll worth visiting!

We stayed here for 3 nights. We were checked in by the friendly staff in the front desk and always being greeted when the staff saw us when we walked by.
Our stay was very enjoyable. Room is very clean, great location, the breakfast was amazing and the pool was perfect.
We loved our stay at Royal Kamuela and can’t wait to be back again.

We stayed at this stunning hotel for the last leg of our Honeymoon in Bali the food was outstanding and service matched the food I can say this is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. The location is right in the middle of Ubud.

This is a ok place, not amazing, not 5 star as it claims too be.
Place could do with some retouches. Needs some TLC.

Staff members don’t like it when you use shuttle bus to Ubud… one did say to use to hire a taxi for a day….
