Puri Gangga Resort Ubud

Amazing place and amazing staff.
You feel so close to nature.
Its a must visit.

Away from the noise of the city, in a less explored part of Ubud: Sebatu. Not many tourists around so keep his charming of small town. Must visit water temple nearby.
Hotel is great, staff is super friendly and food at restaurants is delicious.
Room was clean, facing the swimming pool. Toilet is dangerous because too much marble (not recommended for elderly people for example). Toiletries are low quality but can be fixed (one of the body wash smells like rotten). Overall I’ll give 4.5 out if 5 to the room.
Restaurant is very chill and open (no aircon) that is great to enjoy Ubud weather. Price is correct and food portions are reasonable. Just the menu or carte is kind of odd (too big and outdated). Food wise we tried Tuna, Tom Yum, Beef rendang and cocktails. Everything was delicious.
Definitely worth it.

Other than that it’s a really nice place and really good staff.

We stayed here as the second stop on our honeymoon, what can I say, a dream place. The Resort is very well looked after in every part, the infinity pool is wonderful and it is possible to book the floating breakfast, just pay attention to the time because you risk finding yourself in 3 or 4 couples having to divide the spots for the most beautiful photos or to do shift.
The simply exquisite staff, all helpful and smiling, a real feather in the cap for the property, from the room staff to the restaurant staff, the sauna staff, the reception staff, always ready to solve any problem and most of them understood and spoke good English.
We spent 6 nights here, the first in the villa with private pool, a dream. Unfortunately we then had to move to a suite, which was still quite large and comfortable, because for the period we booked, availability was only for the first day, we still wanted to take advantage of it and I would say it was worth it.
I read reviews of people complaining about ants, spiders, some mice, frogs, roosters nearby etc. Well what can I say, if you choose a resort surrounded by nature, it is an unexpected event that you have to take into consideration, after all it would not be possible to eliminate them, it is their habitat.
The only small flaw is the distance from the nearest nerve centre, 40 minutes by car (with regular traffic, but unfortunately the traffic, as there was only one main road, was not very regular), in any case the Resort provides a free return shuttle service at 3 different times of the day, morning, lunch and afternoon, with drivers always friendly and ready to answer any questions or curiosities.
We went to the spa twice, friendly girls, massages up to expectations, perhaps too expensive compared to nearby Ubud, of course the prices must also take into account the fact of being inside a Resort and not in a room on the street like the most of the massage centers in the city, but having tried them in both places, I would say that if they cost half or 2/3 of the prices offered, it would make more sense.
As for the rooms, comfortable bed, air conditioning, canopy in every room to protect against insects. Two small notes tending towards the negative (subjective evaluation) :
Consider, although it is one of the national fruits, not to provide Durian flavored shampoo and shower gel, I couldn't wait to get that smell out of my nose, it made me nauseous (I repeat subjective), and rather don't put the TV on if it doesn't have to pick up even one channel, unfortunately the WiFi connection is certainly not the best, we had to use our mobile phone connection almost all the time, consuming a large part of the data traffic available to us.
In any case, you deserve all 5 stars despite a few small things to review.

If you are looking for a resort where you can breathe the air of Bali, Puri Gangga is the right place. Gorgeous rooms, infinity pool overlooking the dream forest. Even the restaurant deserves great attention with a simple menu but of absolute quality. Among the organized activities we have chosen the cooking class: highly recommended. Very attentive and friendly staff. Puri Gangga strongly recommended!

The staff was courteous and the service was excellent. The rooms look pretty old but that is the look they're going for. The infinity pool was great. The resort is in a secluded place

Wow, how ready am I feeling to take on Bali after a spa day at Puri Gangga! The staff were kind, polite and what's even more important Accommodating! My masseuse for the day, Miss Purnami has hands of gold that apply right amount of pressure where necessary. I had an amazing time, and I'm already plotting to return!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Good food and well presented. Wifi can be spotty. Massage package was great. The room is nice with large bathroom.

Puri Gannga Resort I like it there because of the ambience it so refreshing the foods are so delicious the server/service are good also but if you don't know how to go out find the exit probably you lose

Had a great experience at this wonderful place! They have aesthetic flower bath, bathroom with rice field view, private pool, and big room.

The staff of this property are very courteous. The restaurant is decent. The rooms are clean. We want to ‘Thank You’ the staff for packing breakfast for our 6am check out.

Great location and so kind staff. The rooms are so dusty and need to be cleaned. That’s the only thing.

Hidden place in the heart of Bali. The place is a fairytale: overwater swimming pool, terrace with the view of the ricefield. Just one step from a beautiful temple. The rooms are precious and, if you have the chance, choose the private pool villa cos it is absolutely a dream. The staff is sooo nice, food very tasty too and in the spa you can have you deserved relax. Floating breakfast, floating tea and flowers bath are the top!

The architecture, landscaping, infinity pool overlooking the valley of greenery, coolness due to higher altitude and prompt service are plus points.the way to save on transport is getting your airport transfer or other transfer driver to throw in side trips to a few attractions. Pay them a bit more. The villa also has a restaurant that serves good breakfast and u may order any meals any time of the day. We requested for a floating basket breakfast it was uniquely cool. Pool water is clean and clear. Enjoy the greenery and landscaping around the villas. The bedsheets are clean and smooth. The sunken long bath can top up with warm water for a relaxing dip. Will highly recommend for anyone who is looking for a typical Balinese villa experience.

What a beautiful spa treatment! I have never felt so relaxed after bathing in hundreds of flower petals! The arrangement was just incredible and such lovely staff too! Thank you so much

We stayed in Puri Gangga for 2 nights during our honeymoon.
The resort is wonderful and they definitely go the extra mile to satisfy their guests.
It’s definitely worth booking the villa with the private pool. The rooms and bathroom are so large and you have your own pool.
I also definitely suggest additional services such as the flower pool, floating breakfast or afternoon tea and the balinese cooking class. We had those and they were all amazing.

You can also have

- daily 30 minutes Yoga class
It is worth for everyone to spend your time here for several days.
