Munduk Moding Plantation Nature Resort & Spa

Absolutely amazing stay, can’t fault anything whatsoever down to the small details at night when you retire to a surprise in bed, the pools, the food! Even the drivers they booked for us. Whilst the menu in the hotel is great, we fancied dining out one night and chose Ulekan which one of the team recommended, food was unreal! Thank you to all the guides from the cooking class to the coffee tours. I still havnt had a coffee since - Our driver gooddaywithgede was absolutely outstanding very knowledgeable and very friendly.

This divine place is highly recommended for visiting. The warmest memories in Bali come from this place, I want to come back here again and again, and breakfast in general you can eat whatever you want and as much as you want

We had the most incredible stay. The location feels 'off the beaten track' for Bali - in the best way. We used our time here to really relax. The setting is stunning - exactly like the photos. The food was delicious (we visited the Indonesian style restaurant both nights because we loved it so much). The whole team at Munduk Moding were phenomenal, we felt so looked after and nothing was too much trouble. Would recommend experiencing one of the guided hikes to the waterfalls to see a little more of the area, it was also a great way to find out more about Balinese culture from our lovely tour guide. We want to return!

I stayed in a one-bedroom pool villa with a jacuzzi! The bed was really comfy, and I had a great view of the pool. The bathroom was spacious, and I especially liked the glass ceiling and the free-standing bathtub.
My favorite place was, without a doubt, my private, heated pool! Sunsets were amazing, and from the pool, I could enjoy lovely views of the coffee plantation and its surroundings.
Also, the two main infinity pools that are accessible to all guests were absolutely stunning! Definitely Instagram-worthy and one of the hotel's highlights.
During my stay, I also had a butler, and he really was the personification of attentive service! I just had to send him a WhatsApp message if I needed help, e.g, to lit up my fireplace, to organize tours, or to pick me up with his golf cart.
The whole staff at the hotel was very friendly and welcoming. I had some really nice talks with them.
The food was another highlight of the hotel! If you stay in a pool villa, I definitely recommend ordering a floating breakfast! For the afternoon tea, I liked the sunset bar most!
There is not much tourist infrastructure around the hotel - but I really didn't want to go out anyway! The hotel also offers many free activities, like yoga and a coffee plantation tour. I also joined a (paid) horseback riding tour to see the hotel's surroundings and to get an insight into how people in the village of Munduk live.
I really enjoyed my stay at Munduk Moding Plantations a loooot! And I will definitely go back:) Thank you so much to the whole team for this great vacation:)

Green resort. They care about their waste management seriously. Nice place with beautiful panoramas.

So close to heaven! We had a wonderful stay here and a big reason were our two butlers Adi & Suki! They fulfilled our every need with reverence and sincere kindness, as one would expect from a very good friend.
We would also like to give a big compliment to our guide Aska, who accompanied us on a 2-hour hike to the Bayumala waterfall. He showed us many plants that crossed our path and through him we were able to try a snowfruit for the first time, which of course, as Swiss, we were very interested in

About the hotel: We had the Petung (Bamboo) Villa for 3 nights. A very comfortable villa with its own pool.
Since we were there in the “rainy season”, it rained off and on in the afternoon and was cooler towards the evening. But since our pool and whirlpool were heated, you can also swim when it rains and the temperatures are slightly cooler.

We would plan a stop in Munduk and especially in this hotel again in a heartbeat. Far away from mass tourism with breathtaking views and incredibly friendly staff. The in-house planted coffee and the La Macozzo coffee machine were also a huge plus! In short, a dream!

This resort not only has one of the most breathe taking views by their amazing pool, but what makes a difference is the kindness and attention to detail by Moding's heart-warming staff. Please ask for Ketut who picked me up from the airport, and Adi who is an on-call butler. Ketut catered to my needs to and from the resort with a smile and willingness to help. I ended up requesting Ketut to drive me in other parts of Bali even after my stay as He is honestly the best! Adi answered all my questions and requests to make my stay here so much more enjoyable and smooth. The only thing I regret is not staying here long enough. I will definitely be coming back as the service by friendly staff was most memorable for my stay. If you want to get away from the hustle of Bali, I highly recommend this resort. A big big thank you to Adi and Ketu! Suksema!

It is one of the best hotels I have ever been to. The location is amazing and the rooms are super nice and comfortable. Without a doubt the best thing is the service, they don't lack detail, they are super attentive and friendly. Breakfast is amazing. I hope we can return soon!

Impeccable haven of peace in a coffee plantation with a luxurious layout. The service is impeccable and many free activities are offered, including the evening fire with the marshmallows. Be careful it is a little cold in the evening, plan something warm

The staff is extremely attentive and makes you feel very welcome from the moment of check in until you leave. The food is excellent- we chose not to leave the premises. A very well needed retreat in the north of Bali. The views are unparalleled and I can truly say even better than the pictures. Rooms are comfortable and luxurious. We took the cooking class and I highly recommend it. All activities are great- just don’t overcommit and enjoy the views and the surrounding area!

Me and my husband stayed here for 2 nights, and it was the best two nights we spent in Bali.
The views are exceptional, and because the location is high on top of mountains, so you reallly enjoy the quietness and serene atmosphere.
The staff are so friendly and helpful, we had no problems with any of them:)
The food is really fresh and exceptional, we booked for a date night in one of their heart shaped tables.

This boutique hotel was breathtaking in the Munduk mountains which is so serene and beautiful. The customer service is incredible. Each staff member was attentive to all of our needs and we’re so friendly. The two infinity pools will leave you in awe. The food is so so so good and they included breakfast and lunch unlimited for free. I highly recommend doing the cooking class and the horseback riding, it was our favorite parts of the trip. Overall if you’re looking for a luxury, breathtaking and ideal Bali experience, stay here. I will recommend it to all my friends and family to visit Bali.

Can’t rave enough about this place. Fantastic people, good food, amazing views and far from the usual crowds of Bali.

There was so much to do and explore with the kids and I highly recommend taking one of their tours to explore a little further from the plantation.

Waaauw.we are speechless, everything is to perfection. The staff, which are all local balinees are incredible, they go above and beyond, treat us like king and queen. The food and drinks are so fresh, the spa is relaxing. The tours and trekkings are a must do! Coming to Munduk plantation is the highest selfcare and treat you can imagine.

This resort is incredible, the service is amazing and everything is so well thought out. The views are unmatched and the infinity pools are beautiful. Our butler Purna made sure that everything was perfect for our stay and we also had the best Balinese massage with Essi and Yuli. Overall amazing, couldn’t recommend more!
