Mr. Wayan, Balinese Cuisine

My husband and I stayed at Wapa Di Ume for 6 days, and had daily breakfast and dinner twice at Mr Wayan. Food was consistently good. Service always polite and friendly. Definitely recommend!

The restaurant is located at the Wapa di Ume Resort with beatiful views of rice fields. The cuisines we had use an incredible varieties of spices, blended with fresh vegetables, meat and fish.  The poached chicken is delicate and easily shredded from its bone, while the sayur urap or vegetable in grated herb coconut remain tasty and the chicken broth, hot.

Food and service are amazing here. We only had breakfast at this restaurant, but it was always great. Only downside was there were a lot of critters around - should be expected since it's a "nature resort" but it could throw you off to see a gecko run behind your nasi goreng if you're not expecting it.

I really loved this place. We left busy Ubud to see some of the 'country' side, and found this restaurant and we were so glad we found it! We arrived at happy hour, so we were already happy. Buy two get one free cocktails, and they were really good cocktails. The food was even better, the crispy fried duck was great. Their Bali cuisine (as in their name) was great, and they have a very wide selection. The service was also very good with a really good view of some rice fields!

Awesome food, service, ambience and view~ may be a little more pricey, but definitely worth it:)

Ordered food to take away and the chicken was raw in the middle, the lamb wasn't cooked properly either

Best traditional Balinese food we've had here in a month. Ordered two fish dishes, coconut rice and vegetables. Delicious with and nice view/setting.

Restaurant is part of a hotel, has a cool design and has a wonderful view over the countryside.
Prices are ok -> paid 440k for 2 (drinks and main course)
Quality of the food depends on what you choose. My girlfriend had octopus and it was really good. I had the duck which was not good seasoned.
If you need a driver to get there it will cost you ~70k-100k to get there from the city center. So it’s better to go by scooter.

Outstanding authentic Balinese cuisine.couldn't find anything in central Ubud even close.
Service ambience brilliant. Give it a try and especially if you're staying at Wapa di Ume.

The food is absolutely marvelous showcasing the most authentic and the best of Balinese cuisine. The crispy duck is a must eat.
We were only there for lunch and the view was so beautiful. Next time round would stay in the villas there.

Very good food in a beautiful environment. Prices are higher than in Ubud but that is what the hotel/restaurant seems to aim for. It's good to go there though.
