Mr. Wayan, Balinese Cuisine

So disappointed. The view was very nice, although nothing spectacular compared to many other places in the area that overlook valleys, rice fields and jungle. The food was a big let down. I get it wants to be some sort of upmarket gourmet experience, but it doesn't quite make it as it's simply bog-standard balinese food with a fancy presentation - the only upmarket gourmet aspect of it is the measly portions in the middle of a big empty plate.
I asked the waiter how big the ribs were and was told a very generous portion of 6 stacked ribs, perhaps even enough for two.
Well I kid you not, this is what they tried to feed me. Hand for scale. 2 ribs with a 2"x2" square of dry, chewy meat with mostly connective tissue. Could have been 80g on a good day.
When I brought this up did they offer to change it with something else or take it back and bring it back out with a human-sized portion of ribs? No. They said keep it and we'll discount it to the cost of the next cheapest dish. We paid the bill and went somewhere else to have a proper dinner.

Perfect place to chill ️ enjoy the good food with the view.
Oh, the Babi Guling pizza is the best. Such a must try!

It was a very nice experience. They were very friendly. Arik is a nice and good guide/cook! We Will defenitly try this at home.

The food was amazing! And reasonably priced! Arik tended to our every need. She even placed our napkins perfectly. We are so grateful we found this oasis in Ubud.

Had such a lovely afternoon here eating and drinking and relaxing. The gorgeous view, good food, and relaxing environment make it an excellent spot to while away an afternoon and evening in the quieter, more chilled part of Ubud.

This was our first meal in Bali, having just arrived, and we couldn’t have asked for a better evening.

The food was fantastic, especially the crispy duck and the classic fried noodles and the staff were very charming and attentive. Nothing was ever too much trouble.

It was a very warm welcome and a fabulous introduction to the Balinese culture and cuisine.

We would highly recommend visiting when you’re in Ubud (and do leave room for the chocolate lava cake!)

We stayed at the adjacent Wapa di Ume Hotel and had, besides the daily breakfast, a couple of times dinner here.

The ambient is really beautiful, overlooking the forest and rice field of the resort. The staff is very friendly and orders, even with extra wishes like additional lime went smoothly.

If you like spicy food, go for the Jejeruk chicken as main and the baby octopus appetizer. They are a dream! Also the chicken curry is really good. You can also have these dishes less spicy.

Breakfast menu has a choice of balinese and western dishes. We‘ve treid a variety of those and all tasted super-good, so no matter what you pick,
you can‘t go wrong

An amazing Balinese restaurant recommended to us by our villa host. You'll pay prices that will approach Western menus, and you won't complain at all because the food will just be that good. Plus, the views from the restaurant deck are incredible. Lunch for two with 3 drinks came out to about $44.00, which in my opinion is well worth it if you want to experience Balinese fine dining.

Schönes Restaurant mit gutem Ausblick. Leider vom Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis her etwas überzogen. Zudem war die Livemusik so laut, dass man sich nicht mehr unterhalten konnte.

One of the best restaurant I have been to in Bali. This is traditional Balinese cuisine. The cocktails were very nice and the staff very friendly. Quite pricey but worth it
