Kano Sari

This is hands down our favourite place in Ubud. No, in Bali. Just finished our second visit, with a big smile. Not much luxury-fuzz here. No private pool, no fancy restaurant and not much of a view, either.
It´s small and intimate, it´s CLEAN, it has a great layout and it makes you feel like home.

The latter is on the account of two things:
1. The calm, airy and relaxing common area. Stepping in the main entrance is like entering an oasis, with an open living room seamlessly connecting with a lush garden and pool area.
2. The lovely staff. Coming here makes you feel like visiting friends, even if it´s coming back from a trip in the afternoon or returning for a new visit the year after the last one.
Rooms are basic. But hey, who needs more than basic when there is a good size room, fridge minibar, aircon and good size bathroom. All of them with spotless cleanliness.

One of the great features at Kano Sari is a place for massage and yoga. Plenty of space, an open and airy but still shaded space with next to no view into it from the common area or rooms. Brilliant architecture!

There´s no fancy restaurant at Kano Sari. Still, guest have tasty food available all day.

Kano Sari is 10-15 mins walk from the Jl Raya Ubud main street. Its within walking distance from most things in Ubud, depending on how you define walking distance. Since our last visit, owner Karen has established a free shuttle service for guests within Ubud center (limited by Monkey Forest and Ubud Palace). Great!

Suggestions for improvements: Beds are getting somewhat worn, mattresses will hopefully be replaced in a not too distant future.

This resort only has a few rooms so you’re sure to be well taken care of by their staff. Room rates are cheap for all that you get, a pool, breakfast, free phone to take when you go out, and even a free shuttle service to and from the town center!

I love it here. Everything you could want, the team at Kano has already thought of it. This place is a little piece of paradise just a short walk from the heart of Ubud. We love staying in the Taman suite with its gorgeous bathroom, but all of the rooms at Kano Sari are beautifully appointed, clean, comfortable and inviting.

Traumhaft schöne Unterkunft mit familiärer Atmosphäre und sensationellem Essen, insbesondere Frühstück! Wirklich ein absolutes Highlight. So nette, herzliche und vor allem dauerhaft bemühte Menschen habe ich selten erleben dürfen. Top!

Just gorgeous! We spent part of our honeymoon at Kano Sari and we were made to feel so spoilt and special. Karen and her staff are absolutely fabulous, they went above and beyond for us at every stage. The Jepun Suite is just stunning! Our absolute favourite place to stay in Ubud. It's close to the action, but still feels quiet and serene. Luxurious rooms and extensive grounds with just a view villas so it feels like your private sanctuary. Kano Sari really is a beautiful place!

The staff made our stay extremely comfortable. We started to feel like home after the first night, and since then we always looking forward to have delicious complimentary breakfast every morning.
