59Great ambiance, with tasty food and drinks. We tried the Tongseng and the Chicken, both were excellent!
Came here during the late afternoon and we were the only ones there. Wanted to get a bite before dinner. I felt I just scratched the surface of the good eats here. Food was damn good. I’ll be back for sure.
Great place by Chef Will Meyrick, recommend you share the dishes, have lower expectations for the desserts.
Great food and place, bit on the pricey end but worth it for a special night. Staff is very friendly and professional.
Should come here to taste Balinese and other Indonesia cuisine. The taste is so good that you'll forget the price
If you want some authentic flavourful Indonesian food, this place has real good quality tasty and slow cooked Indonesian food. Nice ambience.parking can get hard.
I love their tahu gejrot with fermented cucumbers. Even their yellow rice is flavourful.
Nice drinks and a good variety for vegetarians.
Quality place for all dishes
Ambient so nice
High hype
If you go to the hype place I will 100% recommend.most of dish are a la cart style
I think for solo or couple should be matched the most to the place
The place is on small street
Hard to find parking lot around
So plan yourself for parking lot
As an Indonesian, I really think that the food is delicious. Every single point of the food is very well thought but unfortunately the portion is too small for its price. A good place to eat upscale Indonesian cuisine.
Food was delicious! Service was great. The soft shell crab was sooo good. Tuna used was low quality though but other than that it was delicious.
What a disappointment. We saw the great reviews and decided to come here for dinner with my family and had a booking for 8pm and were told when we got there that last order would be at 8: 30 and that they would be closing at 9pm. Im assuming their not doing pretty great which is why their closing down earlier, but if we knew this before we would had picked another place to go instead.
The drinks were alright, the food was okay and we have been living in Indonesia for 25+ years and for that the food was just alright. A really good warung would have the same food.
The prices too are really high for what you get, the average cost of the food was all 150+ on average for the main dishes, which is expected for maybe a fine dining restaurant.
Hujan Locale's staffs were very attentive and accommodating. They recalled my first visit the previous month and greeted me warmly. That being said, their service was always top notch.
I love their espresso martini, it's a nice choco-coffee twist. Then, of course, their flavorful-pack dishes. Their salted egg soft shell crab gave me a familiar Singaporean fling. While their tuna gohu is just what you dream of eating in a tropical island (watermelon, tuna, pomelo, peanut, and lemon basil). My fav.main dish is their tipat blayag as can be explained by their mouth-watering description in the menu: "smoked chicken simmered in coconut and basa genep spices with Balinese urap egg and crispy chicken skin. " Their stuffed cumi-cumi kalio can give you a heart attack both figuratively (how surprising they are) and literally (it's a combination of all high cholesterol food items). Finally, their ginger lemongrass creme brule is not something you skip. You'll be glad to get it.
It was really nice experince to taste unique combinations of balinese and european cuisines. Delicious food, good service
Restoran dengan makanan yg luar biasa, pelayanannya oke, tempatnya asik. Saya rekomendasi datang kesini pada saat makan siang tdk terlalu ramai dibandingkan makan malam. Menunya lengkap & dipadukan dengan bahan asli Indonesia tapi jangan kawatir rasanya enak banget.
A large group of us stumbled upon here whilst wandering the streets of Ubud. The food and wine is FANTASTIC - however the prices are very high for Bali. Would recommend though.
Food is instagramable n importantly, taste so good, we went back 2nd time n order different food. Just as good
Beautifull interior, great concept, but dishes were just alright. Very much bad cut of sashimi on ceviche, also laxk of balanced seasoning. In coconut simmered chicken was extremely dry. Cocktails too sweet and one dimension. Service was friendly.
Very nice food: modern twist to Indonesian food - well presented and good taste. Nice interior decor
Amazing food and drink options from start to finish. Puts any restaurant back in the states to shame given the quality, ingenuity, and price.
Our favourite restaurant in Ubud serving indonesian food! Everywhere else is serving western food, and it's difficult to find local indonesian food. The irony. Highly recommend this restaurant! Service staff is also super friendly. Recommend to make reservations for dinner. Can be packed with diners.
Amazing food, amazing taste, presentation, amazing wine too. If you want to taste real indonesian flavors, this is the place. Can't wait to be back!
