Wonderful place serving quality cuts of beef from 3 different places. Had the flat iron, tenderloin, gambas and a couple of starters. Food is really good and the ambience of the place is really cosy.

Great place for steak prepared at your table. In addition great smaller dishes to share or as appetizer and nice cocktails.

The best restaurant in all of Ubud, possibly Bali. Spanish, Catalan and Argentine food. Brutal environment for couples, you can talk, good light and CLEAN (One of the few). Top service.

Delicious and wide variety of food. Staff extremely welcoming and polite. Quick service and food very well presented. Definitely we will be back

Best dinner in Bali by far for us. Amazing meat, but great attention to detail all around. Must haves for us were the Grilled Octopus, which comes on a delicious bed of mashed potatoes, and the Indonesian Wagyu beef, simply exceptional. We appreciated the clarity of the menu with the government tax included in the prices. Last but really not least, service: Dana was simply awesome: professional, pleasant, knowledgeable, his service was able to top what had already been an amazing experience. Don’t miss it when in Bali.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Batubara Wood Fire, and it was an outstanding experience. Despite not having a reservation, we arrived a bit early for dinner and were fortunate to secure a table without any hassle. However, I highly recommend making a reservation, especially for group dinners or if you have a preferred dining time. You can conveniently inform the restaurant ahead of time via WhatsApp to avoid any queues or waiting times.

While waiting for our order, the restaurant surprised us with a crispy fried spinach with dip, which was a delightful treat. It was a tasty and crunchy appetizer that set the tone for the rest of the meal.

For starters, we indulged in their Wagyu tartar, which was absolutely phenomenal. The combination of flavors and textures was exquisite, and it was evident that the dish was prepared with great attention to detail. We also tried their grilled cheese, which was enjoyable, but the Wagyu tartar stole the show for us.

Moving on to the mains, we ordered the Rib Eye and Striploin. If you prefer a more tender cut of meat, I highly recommend the Rib Eye. The meat was cooked to perfection in the kitchen and then sliced and heated in front of us using special wood, adding an extra layer of smoky flavor. The presentation was impressive, and the taste was exceptional.

The staff at Batubara Wood Fire was amazing throughout our dining experience. They provided detailed explanations of the menu, helping us make informed choices. Their service was friendly, attentive, and they made us feel well taken care of.

The overall ambiance of the restaurant is perfect for a semi-formal dinner. It exudes a comfortable and inviting atmosphere, ideal for a memorable dining experience.

I was expecting more since the high prices but nothing exceptional to be honest…very average…the staff was very nice but the service was a little bit messy and we waited almost 1 hour for 2 drinks. The place and the vibe are really nice though.

Best steak ever! So good that I still think about it from time to time! The chimichurri was absolutely incredible too. Also- the beef is halal:)

I came here to have my last meal in Bali. The photos I saw didn't do them justice. The food, service, the price and the ambiance are making them popular. Though it's outdoor and no Aircon, the place is comfortable with the evening breezes.

Used to be one of my favorite places in Ubud. Right now, customer service leaves a lot to be desired.in the afternoon we specifically went and booked a table for 22: 00 on New Year's Eve. Upon arrival at 22: 00 we were informed that there were no seats available and that we could wait in a long line outside. Ruining New Year's Eve. This is how businesses lose customers.

Quite possibly the best tasting steak I’ve ever had? Highly recommend it here. The service, the ambiance, the steak. So lovely. I also ordered the batubara salad and side mashed potatoes with truffle oil. They were sadly both basic and nothing special. The flavor wasn’t great. BUT five stars for their steak!

Outstanding steak in Ubud. We tried the Ribeye and Flat Iron. The flat iron was very juicy and tasty. We love both. Ambience is fantastic - very romantic, not too formal. Value for money was good. Service was excellent. Recommended for steak lovers in Ubud.

Nice decoration, nice service, AMAZING FOOD, everything i ate was really good! Well cooked and savory. (The meat its just perfect, like the asperagus and the Orange creme) Just go for it! Indeed it’s expensive tho!

Great tasting steaks, with a nice atmosphere not far from the centre of Ubud. I'd recommend the sirloin over the ribeye - not much difference for the price hike. 200g plenty, too.

Very very recomended, a bit expensive but worth it… Never got this delicious steak in other place… their smashed potate
