Gadjah Wong Restaurant

The place is easy to find since it is located on the eastern side on the road (even from the normal speed of moving vehicle). The parking lot can only amount of 5 cars at one. The atmosphere is okay, comfort, homy, and calm. The are consisted of outdoor and indoor (not sure how many tables there). Talking about menu, the choices are limited. They provide Indonesian, Indian, and western foods (but it is only 3 of each region). Talking about the prices, if it is compared to other restaurants with more food and beverages choices, it is costly. So, I recommend to better come for special ocassion only. The taste of the foods (in my experience) were great.
Another additional information (based on my experience, which is more subjective and personal POV), the waiters charged the bill faster than the other tables (which all of them were foreigners), eventhough they finished the food earlier than mine.

The sirloin steak was not nice, it was hard. That was not my first time dinner there but it's different now. The quality, the taste, all's not the same anymore

Nanya rekomendasi yg india direkomendasiin chicken currynya. Yah lumayan lah, ga sespesial itu juga, cuma rasanya vibrant bgt karna banyak varian saosnya dalam satu plating mulai dari yg manis kek srikaya, asam, sampai yg spicy. Trus liat di review katanya tiramisunya enak tapi di lidah saya agak hambar. Overall b aja sih di lidah saya. Vibenya terasa sekali jadulnya trus ada live music juga.

Tutup di hari Senin, jam buka pun terbatas hanya sore sampai malam. Parkir barat pinggir jalan gejayan kapasitas sempit, tp msh ada parkir disisi timur. Termasuk resto menengah, dengam harga yang cukup mahal. Cocok jika ingin membawa tamu mancanegara, mereka akan suka suasananya.

I prefer Javanese cuisines, but taste the sambel trasi very strong enough (trasi? Of course smells but I don't like it). This restaurant is recommend.relaxed, romantic, artistic with the gazebos.

Mesmerized by the beautiful place, it has this thematic rooms with great atmosphere.

But I can't go beyond 3 stars because the food was bland. The steak that I had was dry when it was supposed to be medium rare. The other time I went there the Indian curry has chutney, but it wasn't fresh. I didn't even bother to get dessert. For that amount of money, we ought to expect more.

If there's a half, I'd give 3.5 stars. The food used to be yummy and rich of flavor. But now it's just bland for my east indonesia palate. The place and service still very nice, tho. I used to like sitting down stairs, but now it's just for the owner's family only.

Resto fancy yang udah lama bgt ada di jogja sebelum mulai banyak resto dengan menu western food. Rasanya masih sama seperti dlu, perasaan sih ga ada yang beda. Cuma yang beda tempatnya sekarang yang dibuka areanya ga sebanyak dl. Inget dl ada area gamelan yang pas terakhir ke sana dah ditutup ga dipake. Paling favorit tuh menu tiramisunya, klo menu makanan sukanya yang half baby chicken, orange duck, indian kari sama lasagnanya enak juga. Dulu kalo ke sini suka dapet complimentary food gt kaya cheese stick cm skrg udh ga ada ya.

Untuk tempat menurut saya menarik, banyak lorong - lorong untuk ke meja makan sehingga lebih terasa private. Untuk menu makanan mulai dari indonesia, timur, hingga western. Untuk harga menurut saya worth it dengan yang disajikan. Dari semua masakan yang saya rasakan, saya suka dengan menu westernnya. Selain itu kalau anda kesini, jangan lupa untuk memesan mashed potato nya karna sangat moist. Pelayanan yang diberikan juga sangat baik, kudos Gadjah Wong!

I think we should say it a fine dining restourant, music, place, lighting just fantastic. I order home spring chicken unfortunately the taste is so no good, i get a red bloody chicken, just order anything without chicken

COVID times are hard by the look of it; not many people. But we were treated like royalty by their lovely staff. Food was okay, I am sure they will get their food up to their old standards (incl spirits, champagne and wine.come on!) when they are fully up and running again. In all still a great place to go to relax and eat.

Klo djogja. Harga tergolong sedikit lebih mahal.
Memang menu makanan lengkap, ada western ada local.
Suasana cukup adem dan syahdu

The food was good. A bit confused with the Fish Soup, it was written 'fresh fish from the sea's but we found it was fishball and prawn. The choco mouse was not so soft. The environment was good with vintage decoration in a colonialized home. At the end we enjoyed the live music which accompanying us (they picked very good songs).

untuk makanan sendiri kemarin nyoba Australian steak dan IMHO masih lebih enak steak-nya R&B Grill
total biaya yg dikeluarkan kemarin sekitar 700rb utk 2 orang dan itu udah sama wine.

Menu Makanan komplit baik menu tradisional, eastern maupun western.dan porsinya yang WOW banget.disarankan setiap pilihan menu pertimbangkan untuk 2 smp 3 org drpd gak habis.hihihiiii.

English speaking staff. Nice Javanese quiet ambience. Various menu, not only Indonesian menu. Food is good, big portion. Price is above average, but is suitable for an upscale restaurant like this.

One of the best fine dining restaurant in Jogjakarta with choices of Indonesian, Asia and European menu. This restaurant has a beautiful vintage building and table set up, garden and musician with nostalgic songs from 70's

I like Gajah Wong. The quality of the food is good, price is good, staff very friendly and the atmosphere is nice. Definitely worth a visit!
