Tip Top Restaurant

Food and service were pretty good. Ordered the American steak. Was as thin and large as a McDonald's hamburger patty. I guess I was expecting something similar to a NY or porterhouse steak. Otherwise, pretty good. Just don't expect American style cooking. I've cream was good as well. They had live band in the front dining area.

Seneng banget bisa ke sini untuk pertama kalinya. Sesuai yang saya denger, makanannya bener enak-enak. Saya pesen kwetiau goreng dan pisang goreng plus kopi.

Tip Top Restaurants one of the legendary iconic place. No doubt the foods here is so good. Especially their mocca cake. Love It.

The design, interior and furniture still looks the same. It's good to be back here.

The live band totally captivated me! Their voices harmonizes well and the song option with local flavor really stood out. I have never thought that I could enjoy the Indonesian songs so much as they had so much fun while playing the songs for the audience. The band engaged well with the diners! Kudos!

For some people, they might wonder why this casual place accept such high rate while the foods, beverages and cakes are just so so. Moreover their unfriendly services. For someone who stay in this city, I would like share you that this place is labeled as “CLASSIC”. When you’re bored with nowadays fancy foods and especially cakes, with those spongy textures cake, ganache fillings and all, you can always comeback here for their traditional cakes that tasted like our childhood memories.

Tempat nongkrong yang asik. Bagi pecinta es krim pasti suka karena tempat ini menyediakan berbagai jenis es krim aneka rasa. Ada berbagai macam snack juga sebagai hidangan pelengkap. Pizza, roti bakar, dan masih banyak lagi. Bagi yang ingin makan berat juga ada nasi goreng.

This has been our favorite meal in Indonesia so far! We had several Indonesian dishes all of which were good but the fried meat was our favorite. The dessert that looks like chocolate covered ice cream is a soft cookie covered in chocolate syrup over vanilla ice cream. It looked mysterious so I got it and it was good but other desserts may be better. All of the meal only cost $10 USD

My grandparents brought me here for first time, then parents, then me, then my kids. The chicken steak is still top notch and special to the taste bud, can’t find it anywhere else, a real classic. The mini cakes, the food, drinks all just bring back sweet memories. But the serving staff still for this era, not very professional.:)

Tempat nongkrong tempo dulu, berasa anak gaul zaman kompeni belanda kalau duduk disini. Makanan dan es krim yang khas warisan kuliner tak termakan oleh waktu dan perubahan zaman. Lezat itulah gambaran rasanya.

Salah satu restoran terlama di Kota Medan. Nuansa jadulnya tetap dipertahankan mulai dari menu sampai penataan ruangan. Bahkan bill-nya juga masih ditulis tangan, gak di-print pakai mesin kasir.

Love all the taste of the foods, cake, ice cream. Mini cake is so yummy maybe beacuse bake with fireplace using the charcoal make the texture and the smell so good and different with others. Nasi sayur also always yummy with the parkedel. The best cake in the town. Location near the Tjong A Fie's mansion.

You can feel the vintage sensation from this restaurant. The foods and drinks they served are also satisfying. They also sell cakes, but like the old-style cakes. So as a person who doesn't have a sweet tongue (I do love to eat sweets but only few of them), their cakes aren't suitable to my taste.

Biasa aja. So so. Cafe biasa dengan menu umum, rasanya ya juga sewajarnya. Tapi di sini lebih menonjolkan sajian es krimnya. Kisaran harganya 20ribuan. Lokasinya di pinggir jalan, termasuk pusat kota, dengan bangunan tua dan bersejarah.

About the shark fin soup, I grew close to this restaurant as I have been eating there frequently. As far as I know, the restaurant hasn't been selling shark fin dishes for at least three years now due to environmental concerns.

Steak ayamnya dan kuenya enak sekali. Gk dijamin nyesal.tapi kalau bisa datang duluan atau pesan reservasi, karena pas jam makan siang/malam pasti ramai

Most recommended.nostalgic place, just Like a time machine will bring you back to the Colonial era dining time. Waitresses are very kind and food are not expensive. Tasty! Must try Ox- tongue Steak.
