Structure on a human scale, very well thought out, very comfortable and quiet, located in a very beautiful location. Everything is very well organized. Very attentive staff on land and on the water. The food is varied and very good. Snorkelers are welcome and treated like divers. The housereef is definitely worth a visit. The sites are numerous and varied, dolphins in large numbers are often present and with luck you can see whales, mola-mola.

WOW…… Alor…… we are still rembering the GREAT time we had with Alor Divers on Pantar Island. Last August/September we stayed there for a great amount of nights. After a couple off flights we got picked up by a small boat to bring us to the resort on the other island. From there the crew of the resort TAKES CARE off you as a guest.

The resort is on a very peacefull location. No shops around, no noice of music, traffic or other sounds. Only the sound of the waves. In the morning you even wake up with the upcoming sun and in the evening the nice view on the stars and the Milky Way.
The bungalows all have ocean view and have all the things (we think) anybody needs: a daily cleaned bungalow, 230V, hot shower, good beds with fresh linnen, musquito net, fresh drinking water, hot water for tea or coffee, towels, Wifi and outsight a nice sitting area.

During our stay we never had problems with mosquitos. No bites and no other stinging insects at all. Only some goat and a gekko behind the mirror.

As a guest you only have to walk a short distance to get to the main building or the diving centre. In the main building they serve all the freshly cooked meals. In the morning always fresh baked bread (mostly still warm), a fresh baked egg and coffee or tea. Lunch and diner where always a buffet. The warm bananacake is super. For us enough to choose from.
After the dives you can also have a cold drink in the main building and enjoy the company of each other, look in the fish books or just have a conversation with each other. A great place to get together.

For the dives you walk to the beach, step with your suit and boots on in the small local boat. This boats brings you to the speedboat. A bigger boat or the speedboat cannot come closer because of depth and the reef. Everything (diving gear, tanks, food, drinks, groceries and drinking water) has to go in a boat, into the local boat, to the beach and vice versa. A lot of work you normaly do no think about.

The dive locations vary a lot and are by boat max 30 minutes. Sometimes there is a strange current (even in the dive). The water can be cold. Be prepared for a temperature between 22-28 degrees. We think this location is not for people with a small amount of dives

The crew on the boat helps you always to put on the gear. After the dives the crew takes care of the diving gear. The crew has that all under control. Nothing you have to worry about. You only need need to carry your mask and camera and nothing more than that. We felt as a KING and QUEEN.

The whole crew of the resort takes good care of guests. If it is the kitchen crew, the dive crew of the other staff. They where always friendly to us, always with a smile and a nice word. They want you to relax and enjoy.

We give this resort (and of course all the crew members) a BIG HAND for the hard work to make this holiday for us a PLEASANT period to remember. THANK YOU! Tanjung Kelapa and “Houdoe”.

Alor Divers was an amazing experience for our family! The house reef was amazing both day and night. The food was excellent! We could see the sunrise in the morning from the beach. The staff was really great and super arranging. Diving and snorkling were some of the best we have done in our lives. A highlight of our stay was seeing blue whales after we had finished snorkling Bama Wall.

I stayed at Alor Divers Eco Resort for 5 nights in June 2023. It was the highlight of my 3 week holiday in Indonesia. The diving, resort staff and quality of service, food, bungalows, and beach all exceeded my expectations, especially for such a remote location. It's easy to notice the owners/managers have been operating this beautiful resort for a long time and they have professional staff that pay attention to all the "small" details that allow guests to have a safe, comfortable, and relaxing vacation.

There were so many positive things to mention about my stay it's hard to know where to begin. The beach in front of the resort is perfect. I would stay at the resort just for the beach and their delicious food, even if the surrounding area didn't have world class diving. The food was absolutely amazing, compliments to the chef and kitchen staff. (And thank you to Melissa for the coconut sambal treat!)

The resort managers, Melissa, Koen, and Tom, were extremely knowledgeable about diving and local flora/fauna. They ensured our dive sites and conditions were appropriate for my intermediate dive level and I always felt safe during the 4 days of diving. The local boat crew and dive guides were also exceptional. All of the dives had healthy coral, clear water, and an abundance of marine life.

The bungalow accommodation was spotless with plenty of space/storage and fans for air circulation. (There's definitely no need for air conditioning.) I love that the resort hid the bungalows in the forest vegetation so they're not visible when you're on the beach (or when you're approaching the island by boat). The bungalows also have water coolers so guests aren't using disposable plastic bottles.

I would like to thank Melissa, Koen, Tom, and all the resort staff for their hard work. I appreciate everything you do to keep the resort operating at such a high standard in a remote location. The beers were cold, the beach and diving were perfect, and the food was delicious!

This place is remote and that contributes to it's charm. I loved the location and it being away from people and crowds. The staff was wonderful and did everything in their power to keep our group comfortable! They did an exceptional job at choosing the best dive sites and times with regards to tide and current changes. I was impressed with that! I loved the bungalows.

I was just there for a 9 day visit and had a fabulous time! The resort is on a beautiful beach with a fantastic house reef. Even saw blue ring octopus just in the tidal pools.
Everything at the resort has been well thought out. I stayed in a deluxe bungalow which was well worth the extra money. The food is delicious. All the resort staff were great.

The diving is excellent! Lots of sites nearby. Many thanks to Tom and Johnny for the great finds So much fun diving with you.

Also really enjoyed a visit to the nearby Ikat weaving village.

If it is true that to go from France to ALOR the journey is long, the reward is there.
Having dived in virtually every sea Alor is the only site where I have seen expanses of pristine coral. Corals of all types, gorgonians.and with a multitude of spooky frogfish, leaf fish, ghosts, seahorses including pigmies and. +. A paradise for photographers.
A club on a human scale where everything is done to satisfy your diving wishes. At each dive we were only ourselves, no other dive boat is a dozen divers accompanied by guides who know the environment perfectly and remain at the disposal of the photographers without imposing anything.
On the accommodation side, it is to find yourself in this small circle isolated from the outside world like Robinson Crusoe.
The bungalows are well laid out and the food excellent and local. Thank you to the whole team for this unforgettable stay.

Great dive centre at a strategic location in Alor strait. Professionally run by friendly staff.

We visited as family 6pers in August 22. Children (5yrs and 7 yrs) enjoyed as much as their grandparents (72yrs). For the children there was a lot to discover, beachhut to be built and snorkeling or playing in the waves, when they were a bit bigger. Diving is unique and with the many different sites, it's worth to stay at least 10 days. You'll rarely find a place with that many fish. It is not a place for diving beginners, as currents can appear suddenly and can be strong.
The resort is beautiful and clean, staff always helpfull and willing to make out the best relaxing holiday for everybody. Food is asian style and delicious.
Internet is not too good, but good enough to download a good book or the newspapers. You are not coming there for good internet, but for relaxing at the white sand beach and diving the fantastic house reef or one of the other 25-30 divesites.

Stayed in June 2022 and had a wonderful time. Amazing diving to be had in Alor and these guys are a really well-run diving resort. Diving staff are great. The resort staff also. We stayed in the delux cabin which was beautiful and very comfortable, right on a stunning white sandy beach. Food was great, everything really - we had a great time. I can highly recommend them for a diving holiday.

The resort has been operating for 16 years, they know the waters inside out which is crucial for diving in Alor where current can get quite intense. Diving is phenomenal here.

The resort is tucked away on a peaceful and dreamy beach. It is very well run with strong consciousness on minimising impact on the surrounding environment and community. Very comfortable bed, had such good rests there.

Delicious meals. Happy staff. Impeccable service. It cannot get any better.

Absolutely incredible experience at every turn. The resort has a fantastic and friendly team. All meals were delicious and the rooms so bright and peaceful. The dive crew were extremely professional, considerate and knowledgeable. Alor sites were at least the equal of other well regarded Indonesian dive destinations.

Best diving you can get. Almost no other divers around. Very comfortable resort. Top staff. What more do you want.
