Barelang Fishing Pond

Previously there was plentiful of fish, you can even see all grouper opening their mouth and waiting for your bait just right below.

Came over today 12/02/24 with 5 anglers. Total catch 1. Strike and miss 2. For full 3hrs. The lady told me alot fish had died. But I came to know from the worker that almost all has been sold to restaurant during cny. Walked the whole round, only saw one 5kg grouper. That's all.if all fish has been sold, pls do inform us and not collect money and told us all fish died when they are sold instead.

Losy rods. Worst they expect you to pay for.additional 250,000 for the broken rod. Will not come anymore. The lady was very unreasonable, unfriendly and fierce too!

After change of management post covid, the lady collecting the money has very bad attitude because we brought own bait as per pre covid times

We offered to pre purchase bait from her but she was not willing and instead requested us to keep our bait.

After trying to persuade her, she just lambasted she does not need our money and ask the driver to bring us home.

From start to finish, her tone of voice was not very good, she was scolding others before speaking to us

There are only Groupers here. Been here few times over a span of 1 year, still only groupers. Sure get.raining no shelter, toilet disgusting.

Came on Sat morning.
2 ponds for fishing.
All our catch are the large size groupers. Don’t see any other type of fishes.
3hrs block.
The fish caddies help us with the bait as well lifting up the catch and releasing back to water.
Hope they will introduce other fishes to increase the excitement.
Overall a good experience

Awesome place! We caught 7 fishes in 3 hrs with two rods, which was not bad considering it was late in the day and fishes tend to bite less. The fight was really awesome.
