Tony Roma's Restaurant

It was a fairly satisfactory experience eating at Tony Roma's. Their renowned baby back ribs were still a delight, loaded with sensational flavours. It is probably one of the best in the Jakarta region. However, the other dishes were mediocre. The fried onion rings were a bit too greasy and the steak was not tender. The price was fairly expensive, but considering its enormous portion size, it is probably acceptable. Additionally, the decor was starting to show its age.

Iga babi nya enak. Apple struddle dan onion ring nya juga enak. Sekali makan min 300 rb an per org. Tempat juga enak.

Babyback ribs is number one.however, safety protocol for covid-19 should be more stricter. Eg, utensil should be sealed, provide a small plastic bag to put our masker in when we are eating, instead of just putting it on the table. All these protocol will make consumer feel mo safe when dining in.

This place used to be fancy and exquisite but now it’s a bit rundown. Restaurant’s ambiance was dark, old and gloomy. Services were okay, steak was nice, the signature ribs were tender but the sauce was a bit too sweet for my taste. For the price that they charged, there are definitely other places more worth it.

Fascinating aesthetics, premium quality food, and, most importantly, excellent customer service.

Tempat makan Ribs yang tiada duanya, soal rasa tidak perlu diragukan lagi. Variasi makanan cukup lengkap dengan ala western. Sangat cocok untuk makan bersama keluarga atau dengan teman-teman dalam rangka merayakan ulang tahun. Juga cocok untuk makan hanya berdua saja dengan menu yang pas banyaknya. Juga tersedia wine dan liqueur bagi penggemar minuman beralkohol. Parkir cukup luas dan nyaman, kecuali hari senin agak padat.

Tasty and delicious ribs with a hefty price tag. Nice ambience for lunch or dinner. The maze-like interior fits both large and small groups. Be careful to not miss the entrance to the building. Once inside, it can still be tricky to find the restaurant.

In Jakarta, there are a couple of places offering great ribs, this is one of them. Classic, and steady quality.

I visited them once, and I tasted beef ribs and beef steak. The restaurant building is just mind blowing. It's very nice and clean. Stuffs are well mannered. If I want to talk about the tastes of the beef ribs and beef steak then it wasn't so exciting. I think it was average in my opinion. But the place is just stunning.

Enak banget buat dijadiin alternatif untuk makan bareng keluarga. Porsinya sharingnya besar2, jadi semuanya tetep kebagian dan kenyang pol.

Mantul! Porsi full slab nya bisa sharing untuk 4 orang, dan percayalah semuanya kenyang. Dagingnya tebal dan empuk, rasa bumbunya nampol. Disajikan sama kentang dan salad.

Expensive but worth it!

Full Slab Ribs - 560k
Daging pork nya juicy dan tender. Grillingnya pas, tidak overcooked. Saus bbq khasnya enak, sedikit terlalu asam but it was good! Side dish bisa pilih coleslaw, corn atau rice. Kentangnya ada baked, fries atau mash. Sides and potatoes were just fine.

Appetizer Sampler - 165k
Terdiri dari 3 macam appetizer; mozza sticks, potato skins dan chicken wings. All is good! Chicken wings dilumuri saus bbq khas, potato skin dengan topping daging cincang dan mozza sticks yang harus dimakan sebelum mengeras. Ditemani 3 dippimg sauce; cheese cream, tomato and mayo; semakin lengkap deh!

Mushroom Soup - 35k
Enak dan aromanya harum. Ingat, harus dikonsumsi sebelum dingin karena soup akan mengental dengan cepat.

VERY BAD SERVICE. I asked if my hot tea is refillable. He made sure i ordered hot tea and not iced tea. Then i replied, are you saying i lie just to get a free refill? (my glass is still warm and he should feel it too. Then he gave me this (look at the photo). Great job Tony Roma's. You refill my tea with hot water.

This place looks tired, the wooden frames falling. We sat in one corner with artifical trees that dropped some dirts to our table. It's sad to see such condition considering the food prices are so high. The ribs quite dry and my steak was rare instead of medium.

You know exactly what it will be like before you get there, and yet you decide to go anyway. Surrounded by large family parties with screaming children and grown ups in pajamas, TR delivers precisely the kind of generic eating experience you know it will, with added added chaos. The servers were prompt and friendly, however the hostess who “welcomed” me set the tone by ignoring me while chatting with another group and then welcoming another party that shoved me out of the way, despite making eye contact with me earlier. The food is mediocre, the coleslaw bland and the sad baked potato with but a hint of sour cream and a tiny sprinkle of rubbery cold cheese that accompanied my chewy (!) ribs were filling yet far from satisfying. I could not recommend this place less however, I know that you, just as I did, will ignore your mind screaming no when your heart is so emphatically set on ribs, and suddenly Tony Roma’s seems like a great idea because how bad could it really be? It’s the kind of experience you’ll manage to forget in 10 years when your heart twangs and the irresistible urge draws you back to Tony Roma’s. Good thing it’s only an experience you have to endure once in a decade.

Taste
Never failed to deliver good quality ribs to the table. My favorite is the original baby back ribs with Carolina honey and you also can choose the side dish where I always settled with corn and french fries. Not to forget the free flow bread which taste good as well.
Ohh If you are a fan of onion rings please do yourself a favor and try the onion rings there. While for the salad is quite average for my taste.

Price
It's quite pricey place but considering the food, service and environment that you will get there, it's worth every penny.

Service
First class service, the waiters are friendly and knowledgeable (can provide you with suggestion), the interior also really comfortable and clean as well.

I never found this place too crowded so if you'd like to have a romantic and enjoyable dinner (assuming money is not an issue of course) then I will highly recommend this place for you.

If I could give tony Roma’s a 0 I would. I am from the States and have been to TR’s 100 times back home. Ordered this on my bday, full slab of ribs and came with half slab. Complained and they ignored me completely. No sauce, cold food and I even ordered everything in Bahasa (lived here 4 years). Impolite staff, manager was a child and food was absolutely horrendous. The sauce was the only good part. MEAL COST IDR. 700,000 ($50). Went to Burger King afterwards bc I was still hungry ($50 and have to go somewhere else to fill up). Save yourself the time, money, and embarrassment of going to this restaurant. No joke, this was my BIRTHDAY DINNER AND THEY RUINED IT.
