The best brunch in Jakarta.
I finally went to the brunch at the Il Mare restaurant in the Mulia Hotel after hearing so much about it.

The variety and quality of the food was outstanding.
Ario did a great job and was very attentive and prompt.

I will definitely be coming back

Nyesel deh kalau maen ke jakarta, kalau gak nginep di il mare, view nya bagus kamarnya rekom den gak akan nyesel kalau misalnya nginep disini

Sesuai dengan ranting, kondisi hotel dan suasana hotel sangan amat bagus dan nyaman. Privasi sangat terjaga

Ga perlu jauh² kalo mau masakan otentik khas Itali, disini bener² lidah akan dimanjakan. Good job buat il Mare

Suasana yang bikin kita betah berlama lama, makanan semua lengkap banyak pilihan, bumbu bumbunya sesuai selera, segar, pelayanan yang ramah, engga akan nyesel kesini pokoknya

I hate the new renovation. They lost the soul of the place and replaced it with twice as many tables.

But. Wow the food really improved and the wine menu is very reasonable. So I'll still recommend this place and look forward to my next brunch.

The service was perfect - it's Mulia people.

The food were good:

- shrooms soup were good AF
- beef cheeks - the meat didn't need knives just your fingers actually, they were so soft!
- the smoked salmon salad was nicely done but was basic stuff so not that recommended
- the lava cake was above average
- the deconstructed Tiramisu was awesome though

The prices were very friendly for such an establishment IMO.

Will defo go again and this time, will attack the pizza and also the pasta.

The best italian restaurant in town with posh interior and cosy atmosphere. Service is always good as well. But I call this the best most of all because of the cuisines. The antipasti, the pasta and risotto are all constantly good. They also have live halibut, baked in salt crust. And the espresso Vernagna is a real treat. I have come here many times and always feel satisfied. In my last visit in January 2023 I found the foods are still good but not as good as it used to be.

If you are looking for the best dining experience and the best quality of fresh seafood this is the right place to visit! I recommend you to go for a Sunday Brunch here. Even thou the buffet was not that many, but the staff will give you a LOT of pass around food (pssstt spoiler, wait until the Tomahawk arrived around 1pm)

From the arrival you felt very welcome and safe since they implemented health protocol, and being served by professional staff especially Jericho and the manager Maurizio.

The manager very helpful, in the other hand some of the staff are lil bit unfocus, the food.ravioli is very in small portion, the taste is soso.parma pizza is oke.spaghetti not very good.the chicken is plain, but decoration of the place is very nice.

Most seatings fully occupied, I noticed many happy campers, dining carefree at this sumptuous extravaganza. For starters exquisite cracked lobster tail, freshly shuck oysters, fancy xtra large prawns, green muscles and white clams over ice. Soups from minestrone to gazpacho. Another island displays tuna, beef, & pork carpaccio. Leafy mix and crafted salad bar. Flame grilled fresh fish lengthy fillets plus ribeye & tenderloin thick cuts or done on the flat iron if you prefer. Chef specialty carvings of meat and foul. Variety seafood dishes done italiano style. Many vegetable sides. Pasta live cooking station with house made sauces. Cheese & Bread table. WoodFire Pizza orders as you like. Rolling carts of risotto, gnocci, petite parfaits, etc pushed to your tableside. Adorable Sweets like creme brulee, pannecotti, tiramisu just to name a few faves. Cool Fresh melon cubes, pineapple slices, papaya, mango & bananas. Fruit juices and their punches included. Champagne/Wine optional cost.
This is a great Sunday Brunch! Only I wish there could be breakfast items also such as eggs (omelettes or your way), pastries (croissants, danish, tarts) and Belgian waffles &/or pancakes. (it completes a 'br' part of the br-unch) OK so that's a bit less of an Italian Job xcpt for egg dishes.
Otherwise still, this is totally delightfull and satisfying. We enjoyed our fine dining experience. Congrats to the team of culinary artists, service staff and management.

Great food, nice place in the 5 stars hotel, best italian food in jakarta, very recomended for ala carte.

My favorite italian restaurant in town. Located inside hotel mulia, well trained staff, fast and faultless service. Slightly more expensive than your average italian restaurant in Jakarta but it's worth it!

I love the ambience of this place, warm and cozy. Heard the rave about their suckling pig and it lives to it. So good! Also love the salmon confit. Filled my mouth with joy.

Jan 2015 - Had a great dinner here with friends. We ordered to share so I don't remember the names of the dishes. However, it's a classy place for dinner.

Well established restaurant and still shines. Came here last night for my mon birthday celebration. The menu was extensive. The taste was awesome. The staffs and service were friendly.

I had a nice dinner, the chef Roberto came to our table and although the restaurant was full, he spent a lot of time with us, and the food was simply delicious. Unbelievable that the restaurant does not have a Michelin star. I will come soon again. Thanks.

Hands down the best Sunday brunch in Jakarta if you like Western food (Italian mainly, some sushi and sashimi). Take the alcoholic beverages packets for the best experience. It's not cheap, but it's value for money.
