Eastern Promise's sup buntut! It is one of the best~ the richness of the flavours, the tenderness of the meat.depth of flavor and the perfect balance of spices showcased the culinary expertise~

The dining experience at Eastern Promise has consistently been exceptional, and the sup buntut has undoubtedly become a highlight for me.

Unfortunately, I was unable to taste it after a cold lonely rainy night.the absence of this dish left me feeling a bit let down. I understand that occasional changes can occur, and I wanted to bring this to your attention as it significantly impacted my overall dining experience.

I look forward to future visits to Eastern Promise and hope to once again enjoy the exceptional sup buntut that has become a favorite of mine.

A great place to go for a meal, hang out and watch sports. They have good bands on the weekends.

I've just been at your bar together with my wife and 14 year old daughter from Holland because she is here on a holiday and wanted to enjoy a "broodje kroket" before returning to Holland tomorrow. As newcomers we had no idea that every Friday between 5 and 6 pm there is this crazy game called pressure hour. Nobody told us about it until the moment we wanted to leave the place just before 5 because we finished our food. We were all of a sudden informed about the so called rules of engagement and we were told that it would not be wise to go because that would at the same mean this so called game of unlimited drinking has to come to an end. Because my daughter didn't feel like witnessing all kinds of drunk people in that hour and also because I will not be intimidated by anyone, we decided to pay and leave. What happened after that can best be described as an attempt to have a lynch party. People inside the bar were yelling and screaming and physically trying to stop us from walking out the door. I can say this was one of the most frightening and intimidating moment in my life. I was also scared what effect this would have on my 14 year old daughter. As I'm writing this I can still feel the adrenaline pumping through my body. This is one crazy place where I will never set one foot inside again. In Holland something like this would not even be allowed where you are intimidated, threatened and forced to do something against your free will. Probably within no time the place will be shut down down by the authorities, because what Eastern promise is doing here is a criminal offence.

Every British expatriate should know this place.a mix up of sport bar and restaurant with british bar athmosphere. They have very delicious Indian food.

Good food, great atmosphere, however, a lot of mosquitoes wandering around the outdoor area. Something should be done

One of my favourite haunts for beer, live music, curry and sports. Friday nights to listen to Centre Stage play are great fun
Gets pretty smokey for non smokers.but common in Jakarta

It has several section; pool table, dinner and smoking. There's an awesome band playing on Friday night in the smoking section. I don't know whether it's intentional but it was hotter than other parts of the establishment. THE FOOD IS INSANE. Crowd starts coming at around 10-11 pm, very packed on Friday night. Lots of foreigners.

2nd oldest bar in Jakarta they have food and drinks, lots of old bule expats there. Come for pressure hour on Friday free beer between 5pm and 6pm. Good way to start the weekend

Always a great standard maintained at EP. If you travel alone you'll always spark up a conversation there with someone and have a good time.

Food is great and there's lots of variety with different bars inside to choose from. Public bar, sports bar, band /entertainment area out the back and great british india restaurant central to these.

There are 2 pool tables, dart boards, table football. No jumping castle though! (yet)

Excellent place to visit for pressure hour on a Friday. I for one have little recollection of leaving last night but somehow made it to my hotel.

Nice to get away and have some beers with friends, and than ready to continue other place. They have a band also on the weekend.
Been there several times and the waitresses are friendly and pretty ️

Great place to meet other expats and locals alike. EP has something for everyone; a great bar at the front of the building with a lively atmosphere, a pool table and darts. There's a fantastic no smoking restaurant which serves excellent curry. The sports middle bar shows sports on big screens and has another pool table. At the back is a music venue with live bands and djs. It's even got a kids play room which makes it family friendly. Recommended for sure!

This place has western food and indian food. I tried the indian food here and it was pretty good but there were a couple of bugs flying around here and there. The place isn't dirty but is quite dark. Overall, meh.

Very good placa, I like that place many foreigners in there, only very hot place no air conditioner, go there like sports your body all wet

The food are yummy, the place is homey and comfy, the juice is bad (I don't think its fresh, it tasted like the juice from the supermarket with certain brand), pelayannya jarang senyum, mungkin mrk lelah.

Its good place to hangout with friends.good ambiance, good price, nice waiters.you can chot chat with another customer
and you can challenge everyone for billiard battle
95% customers in here was foreign customer, so they have foreign price also, and if you looking for cheap place its not a good place to visit
but the food and beer also another drinks is good

The most memorable curry I have ever had was from here many years ago. From memory was the Bindaloo. Very hot and very tasty

Very good food like indo and western food, they also stream many sport events and the athmosphere is great

Nice place to have some dinner and they always have live music! And also it's a sport bar so you can watch your favorite game on big screens!
