I love batik keris.their primissima cotton is outstanding & both their informal & formal, short & long sleeved shirts, made of printed batik cotton, have no equal.
I confess I’m not carried away by tulis & cap batik, if not as a form of art: to put on my skin on daily basis, I prefer the more practical & soft printed primissima cotton.the quality of the cotton of artisanal batik does not appeal to me.even less, lined silk batik, very impractical for daily use.nevertheless, I did not find, in the batik keris - plaza indonesia boutique, the printed primissima cotton batik collection whose shirts are around 300.000 to 400.000 IDR; only what I guess is the high end modern batik collection whose shirts are around 1.000.000 to 2.000.000 IDR.the collections has a less than impressive & very flashy patterns, so I did not check further because I wasn’y really interested.but if it’s not silk batik cap or tulis, the shirts are heavily overpriced.plaza indonesia style overpriced.if you are looking for primissima cotton printed batik go to batik keris - sarinah or to the batik keris -menteng boutique.
