Warung Sharaswhaty ulasan
21Baigan curry was good. Rice was okay.already prepared and dried.but the lady attitude is to the top. This is a warung restaurant where they provide manual bill in writing but that aunty charged us extra 15idr saying tax. I am sure they don't have license. There are many other indian restaurants in ubud.like bin Ras which provides good food with better value for money.
Ordered chapati and paneer curry, curry was tasty but chapatis were small and sort of uncooked, not worth the price.
Do not even try this, worst Indian food in Bali (May be in world). Lady owner was very rude.
We ordered 5 dishes (2 paneer, 2 daal and 1 malai kofta), chapatis and lassi (sweet and salted). We left our food in the half, I can give 1 start to Daal, rest all are for -1 rating.
Better eat near ubud palace like Ganesha and Bollywood.
There was just something about the ambience. I rode 20mins to this place for masala chai, needed the Indian fix. And it was delicious. I tried their pakora too and that was really yummy.
I didn't have any main dishes.
The ganesh at the entrance looked really majestic.
It's a small shop that's easy to miss, if you like Indian food I think this is the shop for you. The couple that run it are so sweet and welcoming.
Will definitely be back.
BE careful of the moss at the entrance, I kinda slipped and fell on my butt but I mean that's hard to avoid, just be careful.
Unfortunately I had stomach sickness after eating here - it was so painful I fainted and cut my head open. I thought the food was good and the people lovely, but it was definitely what caused me to be ill as all my other meals that day were shared with others who didn’t get ill. I think as it was a brief illness it wasn’t food poisoning, more likely to be unclean cutlery or plate, or hands touching the food. Again, I know it wasn’t from me because I used hand sanitizer right before I ate. I hesitated to review because the business clearly tries hard and serves good homemade food but I think people should be aware of the risk.
I had a good experience when i was there when the government announced the “new normal” in Bali. My friend and I ordered several dishes, Baingan Tamatar (eggplant), Malai Kofte, Pakaros, Mango Lassi and Chai tea. My fav one was the eggplant. It was so tasty! This place serves vegetarian, vegan and even Jain food. We had a chance to have a chitchat with the owner.
Please expect to wait your food a bit longer during if there are many customers there. The lady cook the food by herself to ensure the taste. Worth to try when you are in Ubud
Fresh Indian food served with a big smile. Love the bamboo style first floor with its bean bags to chill while eating
Amazing food cooked fresh to order! Open air 2nd story view of the street, all vegetarian restaurant w/ vegan accommodations if needed. Relaxing sack chairs with a low profile table. Being a veggie w food allergies I often worry about what’s in my food when traveling. I felt respectfully taken care of! The woman that took our order also cooked our food herself. I highly recommend!
Very tasty and very friendly staff. A must visit when in Ubud for high quality vegetarian Indian cuisine.
Good place for vegetarians. Options are limited and the prices are higher than the rest of the places.
We visited this hotel in March 2018 and found really good Indian food for vegetarians. Best part was Chapati's which are soft and proper like homemade. Malai Methi Matar was also tasty along with Samosas. We wanted to go to this place again next day but couldn't find it open.
Really good food! A pleasure to eat. The eggplant dish was out of this world! The setting is great you can chill on the top floor:)
Beautiful food made with love, relaxed atmosphere.
One of the tastiest meals I've had in ubud!
So if you're looking for indian food you have a couple of options in Ubud. The restaurants, good but VERY expensive, you got warung little india, with BIG prices and you got Sharaswaty. Fair and fair. Try the eggplant dish with chapati. Samosas too.
Fresh, hot, authentic, masterfully crafted vegetarian & vegan Indian food. Beautiful ambience upstairs, bamboo architecture and down-low seating. A sweet kitty met us upstairs and snuggled us while we waited to order. It's next to a noisy street. Still worth 5 stars. Nice people.
Good option for vegetarians in this area. Fairly priced hence good value. Menu is limited but that's fine because anyway one orders 2-3 dishes. Chapathi was nice. Food tastes more like homemade than the hotel variety. Ambience upstairs was nice. Lassi was a bit of a let down
Good price. Samosa and chappati were good. Felt the paneer was cut too small and the tikka paneer dish resembled paneer tomato soup. The sauce needed thickening. Cheap tho
The food here is amazing, try the eggplant dish with Chapati! It is definitely not the most authentic Indian food, but it is tasty. Their service could be better. The portion is small, and the price is on the high end.
Tolles vegetarisches Restaurant mit gemütlicher Atmosphäre und sehr freundlichem Service. Eines unserer liebsten indischen Restaurants - wir haben es für unser Abschiedsessen ausgewählt.
