Small place but so homy and have a recomended indonesian traditional beef rendang. The services was pretty nice.

Unfortunately I can't understand the reviews. We really like to eat Indonesian food and we also like it to be very spicy. However, none of the courses we ordered were convincing and almost everything was returned after a few bites. It's not understandable why starters and main courses are served together. The table was full of food that didn't even taste good. The service was very friendly and accommodating. Our disappointment was taken into account in the bill. But I would have preferred to pay twice as much and enjoy a great dinner.

A cozy place with excellent local indonesian dishes

It's a bit off the main street. The place is small, but cozy. Nice music and good food for local price.

I love Bakso Ayam and Nasi Goreng.

Not bad the food, but always they come to you like you must never stop eating and really this is the most disturbing.

Authentic Indonesian food served in style. Staff was friendly and polite. Well done up, interiors. It's a smallish place with few tables. So be sure to reserve. There's some seating at the bar as well. They have seating outdoors as well.
Rendang was outstanding. Unlike most places, they actually had a fantastic vegetarian rendang version along with a few other vegetarian dishes in apps and mains. We tried both. Loved the unique dessert- mini pancakes filled with coconut.

The best food we had in Indonesia. It really was amazing. The prices were reasonable, service was great and the cocktails were awesome. Beef Rendang was sensational

We came back here on our 7 day vacation because the food was unbelievably good. It’s the only spot we’ve returned to!

The food here is absolutely sensational. I had the Jakarta style chicken in coconut sauce and it was cooked to perfection and just peeled off the bone and the rice was proper fluffy. Amazing place with authentic food from Jakarta.

Nice staff, tasty rendang even if a little bit dry for me. Nice cocktails too. Appreciate a lot to eat outside, more relax than the oyster ambiance inside.

Good foods, cozy atmosphere, warm & welcoming staffs, a bit pricey but totally worth it.

Food and cocktails were superb.had the spring rolls, chicken satay, beef randang and mee goreng.each was the best we’ve had in Bali and we’ve eaten in all of the fancy places and plenty of others.

The cocktails were also excellent, I had a pina colada and an espresso martini.both great. And the overall price was really cheap, given how good it all was.

We will come back during the week as even my 11 yr old son can’t stop talking about how good it was.

Most delicious food.and to know that Bernadette actually cooks the rendang at home only adds to the wonderful flavour.

Probably one of the best meals I’ve had in Bali. Beef rendang is packed with flavour, gravy is addictive and texture of the beef is just right. Satay ayam is also chunky in portions and falls off the skewer easily, making it easy to eat. Lemonade is a must to cleanse the palate after such a hearty meal.

The food was the best we had in Bali. The people who work there are very friendly especially Kadek. Normally we only go to a restaurant once, but we went to Bernadette 3 times. Totally recommend!

PERFECT answer for Javanese people who are missing their homey food & foreigners who wanna try out the true taste of javanese local foods or rendang.

Corn fritter: the sweet corn taste soooooo fresh and naturally sweet as if its just harvested from your backyard field

Spring roll: the east javanese style spring roll with tauco dip. The tauco is perfect. Its hard to find good tauco & javanese springroll in Bali tbh: v and here they replaced the bamboo shoot with yam (bengkuang) which in fact, elevates the dish.

Rawon: perfect taste of beef rawon. Fun fact: east & central javanese people tend to pour a little/some sweet soy sauce on their rawon and you can try to do it too:)

Rendang: i havent tried it out yet since the portion is soo big and im afraid i cant finish it myself. But tasting how yummy their beef in their rawon is, im pretty sure their beef rendang will also be perfect.

Service + ambience = excellent
Food portion = big

Fav place in Bali to eat. Staff kind and lovely and food so delicious. They even gave us a complimentary dessert because they wanted to show us Indonesian food we didn’t know which was a really nice touch. Good vege and vegan options as well. Highly recommended if in Seminyak area
