Villa Maiara - Bali

My recent stay at the Ocean King Master Room left much to be desired, largely due to a rather unfortunate incident that occurred on my very first day. While the property itself had some stunning features, the management's handling of an unexpected monkey invasion marred my overall experience.

Upon arrival, I was immediately impressed by the room's aesthetic and the breathtaking ocean views. However, the experience took a drastic turn when a group of local monkeys managed to infiltrate my room. They not only created a chaotic mess but also destroyed and consumed my medication and supplements. They even rummaged through my bags, pulling out clothes and leaving them scattered around.

The most disappointing aspect of this incident was the complete lack of warning from the hotel staff regarding the local monkey population. I was never informed that these animals could break into my room at any time or that they might use the personal pool for swimming and defecation. This lack of communication was a significant oversight on the part of the staff, as it could have prevented the incident entirely.

Prior to the monkey intrusion, the staff's presence was minimal, and their attentiveness left much to be desired. It was only after the incident that they began to show any genuine concern. Unfortunately, their efforts to rectify the situation were also subpar. They made only a feeble attempt to replace the medication and supplements that were destroyed, leaving me to deal with the inconvenience of sourcing replacements myself.

In summary, my stay at the Ocean King Master Room was marred by an incident that could have been avoided with better communication from the hotel staff. While the property itself had the potential to offer a memorable experience, the lack of proactive measures and the insufficient response to the monkey intrusion left me disappointed. It's crucial for the management to address these issues to ensure a more enjoyable and trouble-free stay for future guests.

This is very remote place in south end part of Bali, rooms are good but you will need personal car to go there, riding scooter in this area is dangerous, roads are unbuilt, ocean view is good but u can't access, food is big problem, it's not included you need to pre order otherwise you will have o breakfast or any other food, these villas need maintenance, after showing these to manager he fixed all those right away
Pool is shared within four rooms but it's nice pool, monkeys are real problems once they see smell food

Really love staying here. Location is a 4.5/5 depending on what you're after. There's no real food options nearby without getting a gojek. The beach club (only a couple of hundred metres away) is actually a 25min walk on rough roads. So if you are prepared, grab some breakfast from the shops (5min ride away) and enjoy a quiet morning on your balcony.

Definitely a great little quiet retreat

One star for the view. The rooms were dirty and smelled. The smell of fish outside was so strong that you thought you were at a fish market. It is quite noisy at night and you definitely have to watch out for the monkeys. There is absolutely nothing nearby and you have to ride a scooter for at least 20 minutes. We left early.

Liked: The hotel is small but nice with Amazing views, room is comfortable, staff very kind, friendly and helpful.

Disliked: Unlucky for us, our bathroom was without water few times, the staff apologize a lot for that saying that they were with a problem.

Loved our stay here. The views are so amazing for such a low price! The staff were fantastic and very friendly. The rooms were very big. Bathrooms were lovely; massive mirror, big bath and wonderful rainfall shower.

Lovely stay! Had the family room with our baby, sweet staff that provided a baby cot. The place is so beautiful and calm, highly recommend! We had a car so didn’t mind that it is a bit off

Great location and lovely staff. Could use some cleaning and the hot tub needs to be fixed, but otherwise we had a lovely time for our wedding

Kalau ke bali, cocok banget langsung kesini. Udh suasananya bagus, pantainya keren dan fasilitasnya lengkap. Oiyaa, sarapannya juga enak. Wajib dah pokoknya mampir dan cobain disini.

Stayed in their private villa, we were having incredibly beautiful sunset and sea front view even just from the bed.tranquil area, good service, and cozy with huge pool and very spacious bathroom and jacuzzi.perfect place to spend your days with beloved one.will definitely go back!

One of the best places we visited on Bali during our 20 days. Highly recommended and very pricey. Very close to Omnia and Sundays Beachclub, two favorites.

Beautiful quite villa with amazing cliff & ocean view - next to Karma Kandara & above Sundays beach club. Services are good enough for private villa. I bet this would be a good for small wedding too.

Open House Maiara Villa

Villa Maiara is a Oceanview villa which is located in Uluwatu area. Uluwatu is a place on the south western tip of the Bukit Peninsula of Bali. Majestically perched on the cliff, the villa directly faces the beautiful blue Indian Oceans.

Love this place.
Stunning villa with spacious rooms, nice interior, and amazing view.
The facility is complete and well maintained, it also have a nice swimming pool. Service is great as well. Would greatly recommend this place to anyone who want to have a relaxing holiday.
