Ubud Horse Stables

Amazing experience! The horses were beautiful and the host was great. Our family went for a beginner ride 2 adults 2 kids. Very understanding horse leaders as half our group went back early as son got scared. We had a very nice beginner horse ride. The views are amazing! Really enjoyed ourselves. Thank you. Horses look to be treated very nicely! We did visit the horse stable in Seminyak area but it didn't look very good for the horses so we didn't ride with them. I think if you want to ride horses or do anything with animals make sure they are treated nicely. Ubud Horse Stables look to treat their horses with lots of love as they deserve. Beautiful place for a relaxing ride through the rice field and waterfall. Horses are in good health and behave well. Also the poeple from the stable are very welcoming and soooo kind Go discover Ubud stable and their horses!

One of the best experiences of my life.
Hearing that the stable took a huge hit during the pandemic, only makes this place even more special that they are open after such a tough time.
I am an intermediate level, and for me the horse (Sophia) was perfect. She followed the rider in front with care and barely spooked at anything.
I found the staff extremely professional (even one girl who was completely new the to horse world - big well done to her) and the rider was quiet, which was perfect for the breathtaking scenic route, but asked how I was at all important times (esp before and after cantering) and was very cautious.

Finally, the stop during the 2 hr route was a huge surprise and the view was outstanding

In one word fantastic! Very well cared for horses, well behaved with plenty of action during the ride. The beautiful surroundings are breathtaking. The love for horses is expressed in everything here. In addition, the people are very friendly, both the tour guide, the stable employees and the driver. Highly recommended!

I am so impressed with the health and clearly very well looked after horses, they are very loved and it shows.

Beautifully groomed horses, very friendly staff, my daughter had a great ride through the rice fields. Beautiful photos on a USB stick as a nice memory.

I had an amazing experience here and highly recommend coming here! The tour included beautiful views of the rice fields and my guide provided me options to trot and canter as much as I wanted. I was able to learn lots and enjoyed the friendly staff. Very welcoming and I will be back for more horse riding!

It's good to get away from the busy and noisy downtown and see the hidden scenery of Ubud! I recommend it if you come to Ubud:) Horses were well taken care of, healthy, and well trained. Staffs were friendly and kept taking care of us all the time. If I come to Bali agian, I plan to visit again.

Bad experience! Guide didn’t speak a single word English, so we couldn’t communicate about our problems on the ride. One of our horses was not to handle! While cantering it just ran into the other horses. We are very experienced riders and couldn’t stop him, it was not enjoyable. On top of that the guides horse was scared all the time so that he had to get off and on. From a 3 h ride almost one hour was lunch break and 90% of the ride was on sealed road. We paid 1.500.000 IDR for this bad experiences. After telling the owner, he gave us 20% back which was not enough compared to the bad experience we had.

Scenery is stunning. Rice paddies far better than anything else. This is the real Bali. But asphalt and concrete make up 85% of the ride which is hard on the horses. Although the guide asked, I declined and walked instead. If you want something faster, but no culture or scenery, do a beach ride.

The horses seemed to be very good in shape. They were very kind, just as the staff! Although we have never rode a horse before, we were allowed to ride them without a Person walking next to us.
Only the pictures you can buy at the end are very expensive.

Did an intermediate ride with UHS for 2 hours. I can honestly say, this has been the most awesome experience I've had on a horse. Horse was very well trained, guide was knowledgeable and gave tips on how to ride better. We ended up cantering or trotting along majority of the way where it was safe to do so. Guide was very conscious of my balance on the horse and made sure I was comfortable and safe.

We did have a close call with some local cows that spooked the guide's horse a little, but everything turned out well in the end. Went along rice fields, towns and met some of the locals. The last section of the ride ends in a vast field of an orange plantation. Stopped for a quick break for us and the horses, had some water and even picked fresh oranges. Ate them overlooking a gorgeous lookout over the firest and could hear the waterfalls in the distance.

This place offers a lot more than is advertised- for a price that is very competitive and well worth it's price.and then some. Everyone at the stables were very friendly and horses are well looked after. I recommend this place to anyone that loves horses and wants a one of a kind experience that can't be matched by a slow beach ride elsewhere.

Total cost was at $140 AU. Including pick up and drop off from Seminyak which was 1.5 hours away. 2 hours ride.
I've compared with others as $69-89 for 1 hour as a part of a large group where you have no choice but to keep up/down with the group you're with. UHS sections you depending on your riding capabilities to ensure to you get the full enjoyment of your ride.

Again, must, must, must do. 11/10

It was my first time on a big horse but Yogi (one of the owners) managed to make it easier for me. With refreshing scenic beauty and coolness in the air, horse riding experience became all the more special. The stables were very clean and organized. The horses seemed to be very healthy and I believe the caretakers took great care of them.

The scenic view was breathtaking. It actually released all the stress and tensions from my mind. We went through some beautiful scenery during the ride ranging from rice paddies, roadside, village, rainforest, to coconut plantation and some very steep slopes and falls. The villages were all kept clean and people there were very friendly. Oh yeah.we were riding under the rain! That made it even perfect!

Highly recommend this activity for anyone who loves adventure, natural-beauty, and to those who appreciate the value of life.

Had an unforgettable day with a nice tour guide, a nice horse and really good food. The ride between the rice fields was just stunning and also the views. I will definetly go back. Thank you and se you soon

The instructer can't speak english properly, you will not be able to communicate with him. Horses are not trained well enough. The path between the rice field are narrow and the horse stops many time to eat.
Recomend the beach horse riding even if it is more expensive.

Definitely would go back! Friendly staff and the 2.5 ride to the waterfall was amazing! Had the entire experience to ourselves and our friendly guide!
