Tunjung Kuning Cottage

(Not in the habit of leaving a comment but after the experience I had in this establishment I felt obliged to leave a comment)

Vacation as a couple, we arrived at this cottage very enthusiastic.
The staff seems warm and meets our expectations.

1st day we arrive, nothing to report, the host advises us, helps us when we ask him, quite available and responsive.

But on the 2nd day, we returned from a long outing, we went to the other side of the island, and we noticed that cleaning had been done even though we had closed the room.
Let me explain, we did not think that cleaning would be done when there is no sign to ask the staff that they can enter our room to clean and on the other hand there is no no security box to leave valuables in. As a result, our suitcases were wide open in the room with valuables within sight.

It turns out that my girlfriend lost a certain amount of money, she carefully put it away in a separate wallet and only touched it once to exchange euros for rupees and didn't open it again until 'to check that evening.
The problem is that the host trusts "friends" and these friends who for me are outside the establishment enter our room.

The police intervened but it was a real circus given that they did no research and their conclusion was to say that it was the boyfriend who had stolen the money, congratulations for this investigation

Since my girlfriend left a review on Booking, the host has been sending her random messages via WhatsApp, almost harassment, and still dared to claim that I had stolen my girlfriend instead of questioning her "friends".

Conclusion if you go to this cottage be careful with your valuables.

Spacious and clean rooms. They clean every day. They prepare breakfast for you at the time you tell them. Good breakfast, without being the tastiest we tried in our stays in Indonesia. Very friendly service. Quiet place although the location, if you are not very skilled with the motorcycle the path can be a bit difficult, since it is about 7 minutes of stone path until you reach the “main road”. Even so, you will find these paths in many other locations in Nusa Penida.

This place has our heart. We stayed at some beautiful properties on our trip to Bali but this small cottage has our heart. The cottage is smal, precise and has everything you need on this wonderful island. Allan was amazing, very helpful, very hospitable and always keen to help. I would totally recommend this place.

Alan is a gem! Indonesian people are so kind in general but he tops eveything. Lovely vibe, helpful and such good heart. Plus the place is really beautiful, tidy clean and chilled. Worth a stay everyday!

Recommended place to stay.

Nice place, good price-quality, helpfull staff, good breakfast. Walk distance from 2 good restaurants with amazing (sunset) view.

Odo cok guzel, sesiz, yuksek tavan, calisanlar cok iyi, kahvalti ortalama ;) havuz buyuk kuvet;) yol biraz zorlayabilir! Ama gelmek kolay (map var) limandan sonra (10 dk) fiyata gore 10 numara 5 yildiz! 20 metre alttaki pansiyonun yemekleri harika ve lezzetli! 2 $ a harika balik yedim! Best host that I had during my 4 weeks in Bali. Allan tried his very best during all times to make us feel welcome in Nusa Penida. Very reliable and great host with super clean rooms and in a nice location if you rent one of Allan‘s motorbikes. Definitely recommended!
