Three Brothers Bungalows & Villas - Legian

We ended up leaving 3 days into 10 day stay and going somewhere else. The bed was so uncomfortable that after 3 days I could barely walk. Everything about the villa was a disappointment. Very cheaply done with no consideration to guest comfort. No phone, no information package, we did not even know where to go for breakfast which in itself was most disappointing. With one small air-conditioner to cool area which was insufficient even when it worked which it rarely did as power was on off all day and night due to them overloading circuit and trying to power too many villas leaving us hot and most uncomfortable. They did not refresh coffee or mini bar and the shower floor was filthy with mould. If I could give them Minus stars that would be too generous.
DO NOT BOTHER EVEN LOOKING AT THIS PLACE AS YOU WILL BE SEVERLY DISAPPOINTED.

Disappointing stay for our last week in Bali. When we arrived we were given a room close to the restaurant and in the road side. First night we cant slept because of the noise of the vehicles and live music. We gave it a second night but couldnt sleep. Asking for a change of rooms they gave us a choice of what we paid for but with next door construction or a standard room instead of delux room which we booked originally. This three brothers needs to upgrade the rooms. Reading the reviews, loved by many devotees but go in prepared for a nali reality adjustment. There are better value places.

Very disappointing stay, unfortunately would not recommend anyone to stay at three brothers bungalows.
First experience of the hotel was booking airport transfers, we waited at the airport for over an hour before having to get in a taxi to the hotel- on arrival we were told we still have to pay for the airport transfer that we didn’t get & were meet with an extremely rude receptionist. We’re then told that we had to leave our passport at the desk after saying we weren’t paying for the airport transfers (not a copy, the actual passport)
2. Second day- went back to reception to sort the issue, again meet with an extremely rude lady (same person) that was not interested in working out the issue or coming to an agreement- ended up having to pay transfer. Then again had issues leaving from the hotel back to airport.
3. Breakfast was not up to a standard at all, would highly recommend skipping paying extra for the buffet.
4. The whole place is totally over ran by poor starving cats- when asked if they de sex them to stop the colony growing bigger their response was “ we did 5 years ago”. (I love cats & broke my heart seeing them like this breeding & pregnant kittens.
Most staff were lovely & cared about our stay- great location in Legian & immaculate gardens.

LOOKS CAN BE DECEIVING. We had booked here for it to be the last 4 days of our 16 day adventure. To have some luxury and relax as it has great reviews. How extremely disappointing it was to get to our room 1A and to find it that we had construction not just next door, but behind us too. Our friend in 3B couldn't see the workers but could hear the noise. I went to the desk and said "i wasn't happy. " The lady said they stop at 5pm. I asked if they'll work on the weekend and she said "maybe". After 2 hours, i went back down to say i want another room, the man at the desk accused of "not saying something sooner". I asked to be moved away from the construction, and i was told they were fully booked. I found alternative accommodation for the next 3 days and i said i would be leaving in the morning and wanted a refund for the last 3 nights we had paid for in advance. The only way to get a refund, was to speak to the next boss and to state that it was not their facilities i wasn't happy with, it was because of the neighbors. I complied and said it was supposed to be our finale, our place of rest, and someone should have been honest about the construction before renting out the room. We were there 11th August, and got out the very next morning, and yes, work DID start right on 8am. So please ask what room you'll be placed in because in 1A you could almost hand the workers their tools.

Stayed here late April, booked a deluxe room. Very disappointed, room very dated, bedside light held together with sticky tape, bed hard, asked could they put some softening on it, was told no. Swam in pool first day but couldnt get out, ladder was broken, was there 10 days, laddder still broken when we left. Paid to swim at another hotel nearby. Reception not interested in problems. Location great, breakfast very good, staff apart from reception, very good.

I would book this hotel again any time. We were very happy with everything. The rooms were cleaned and the towels changed every day and there were always fresh flowers on our balcony. The entire complex is very well maintained and inviting.
The adjacent restaurant “Ituitu” also offers breakfast service if you have booked it. You could choose from several hot and cold dishes every day, e.g. Bacon, grilled tomatoes, rice, pasta, eggs in any form.
The entire service staff was always super nice and friendly.

Very nice friendly staff except for reception, they are very unhelpful.
Room is very run down, bedding old and no pillow or mattress protectors. Furniture has seen better days.
Bathroom is extremely run down, towels old and grey. All the deluxe rooms need a major clean and paint and the bathroom fixed properly and a good scrub.

Horrible experience here. Their food at the restaurant got me sick for 4 days. And it was horrible. The rooms all have open windows so that the mosquitoes come right in.you can't stop it. The front desk doesn't respond to guests.so if you have any problems, you have to deal with it yourself.

Really nice hotel in the dirty city centre. Really nice nature and price. Very friendly staff. If only I could leave 6 stars!

Very poor experience I thought I'd book the more expensive room to have a nicer vacation by getting the Deluxe Suite. However what a nightmare; the aircon stopped working about 5 times and all they did was reset it only for the problem to repeat. The shower either barely flowed or was cold and neither of the bedroom lamps worked as the globes had blown. I reported the issue and was moved to a downgraded room however they then wanted me to move again citing the problems had been fixed which I didn't want to do as it was a big inconvenience having to constantly shift rooms. So I asked for a refund of the nightly difference about 90k (a token amount) for the 7 nights I stayed in the lesser room. Apparently they can't do that as they already paid commission on the higher room (albeit I booked on their website direct and how is that my problem anyway?). So not only did they book out a room that was broken they wouldn't even refund the difference on the lesser room. I would not recommend staying here as the management have no comprehension of customer service and just want to take your money even if you don't get what you pay for. Absolutely appalling.

Much better options around Denpassar! Food at the restaurant is absolutely disgusting.do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Villa Lumbung is same price, 3x better.

Three Brothers Inn is EXCELLENT value for money. The rooms are clean and the facilities are good. I think the lesser priced rooms are better than the "upgrade" but that may be just my opinion. The cheaper rooms are more private and have an outdoor shower and bath - which I LOVE <3 But the 5 star review is not just for that reason. The 5 star review is for 2 reasons - firstly: the first time we stayed, my partner had an asthma attack at 4am and didn't have a Ventolin inhaler and although admittedly the reception weren't very helpful, the SECURITY GUARD at the front put me on his scooter and raced to a 24 hour doctors who were no help either and then he scooted us to a 24 hour pharmacy - which was about 15 minute ride away and I would never have found it because I had no clue as to where I was going. This gentleman had worked a full night shift and still went out of his way and was quick to respond to a medical emergency which could have gotten much worse, he expected NOTHING in return and showed kindness and care at a very distressing time for me. Needless to say he was happily tipped very generously. The second time we stayed there my partner left his $15,000 gold chain that he has had for over 20 years and when I rang reception they told us that it had indeed been found and was being put into a safe - of which we then sent our close Balinese friend to collect for us. The honesty the staff at this accommodation is heart warming and has shown that their are still good people in the world and that although these people don't have much financially - they still have morals. My partner was in tears at their honesty. This place is absolute value for money, central to everything in Legian and the honesty they have shown will always be remembered. Will always go back there when staying Legian! <3

When booking please make sure you ask for the Orchid 2 Bedroom Private Villa with Pool or Lotus, Lotus is what we booked but Wotif let us down.

So the Orchid is great, Clean, Tidy with 2 huge Bedrooms both with their own ensuite. The main bedroom has a walk in wardrobe.
Middle space is huge with a huge kitchen area.
Rooms could do with an uplift, but for the price its great.
We maybe got it as a special 10night plus air fares with luggage around $2,000 2 Adults and teenager.
Breakfast Buffet included

Staff very friendly, polite and helpful.
Their Restaurant Ituitu is clean with a great day and night atmosphere and reasonable prices not only for food but for drinks and cocktails.

Large public pool area as well.

We will recommend the Orchid or Lotus not sure of other rooms.

Unfriendly staff, fake smile.
Dirty bathroom and water, block strain and too Noisy.
We left after one night

Stayed in a standard room down the back, beautiful gardens, staff are wonderful cant do enough for you. Had trouble with air conditioner and a leaking tap and these were fixed straight away. Amazing price situated close to everything. Can't recommend highly enough. Will definitely stay here again

The room look old not the same as in the photos they advertising, the room a bit smelly (I think the cleaning people not wash the moop propably) the staffs are friendly and the foods at the Ituitu restaurant are greats

For price/ratio Three Brothers is for us the best place.even we are NOT from Australia?
We have been staying here before Corona Covid-19 but now they offer half price.so BIG value for money - we can stay longerwe really like the pool where you can get served your breakfast.drinks or dinner. Great staff special "naughty TIKA? " at the Reception which was always funny and makes jokes with us.so thats why we give 5Points.otherwise only 4.also TV was NOT working? WLAN is good in the room and at the pool. Short the whole staff like Billy, Pradana and Kadek is always helpful and friendly. Most rooms now upgraded always ask or book a for deluxe room. An enjoyable 3 nights in a large, but "old design" room. Spacious open-air shower room nice but lets in the mosquitoes- just keep door closed ok. Gardens are beautiful- like staying in a tropical forest. Swimming pool nice. The food at restaurant ItuItu is the best value and taste in Bali! Staff eager to please. Good Singaraja beer promotions too. Location an easy walk to a lovely beach with many seaside beachbars.

Have been staying here for 10 years good value for price - pool great staff always helpful. Most rooms now upgraded always ask for deluxe rooms! Can’t wait to get back in July 2022
