The most magical place in Ubud, if you pass through Ubud take a yoga class here and then have breakfast in nature

Vibe: it’s the perfect place to hang out all day while having amazing food, joining amazing yoga classes (there are so many different options; so there is something for everyone, no matter if you are a real yogi or never did yoga before)
Food: I love the garden kafe; they have so many raw & healthy food options (the food is a bit pricy but it’s worth it for my opinion)
Favorites: ceremonial cacao, raw cheesecake, walnut- carrot cake;
Dislike: I didn’t like their smoothie bowls (taste of the smoothie was amazing but not cold enough and the granola was not crispy at all - I like granola to be crispy but that’s a personal opinion)
Service: everyone here is so kind & welcoming; free water

The Yoga Barn is a very nice place, staff are very friendly and helpful. We tried mantra meditation for once. For beginners, i wont recommend to start meditation with this seesion.

Semoga sukses selalu.

This was my first time doing yoga and the experience here completely put me off. I subscribed for a month, only went for 10 days.
There were several problems even from the yogabarn side (overheated room even though we asked for windows to be opened or fan, cramped studios - didn't even have space to open arms, unprepared teacher - imagine you paying 15 dollars for astrology class with a teacher mumbling the whole time so you leave half time - I didn't but some did) - but the biggest put off is the vibe there. Full of Instagram wanna-bes who come there to pose rather than for the experience. Also be prepared for banging music twice a week as they have a rave class going on - obviously priced differently if you want to be in the same room with the DJ (!) [The rave is located in the main building and in two separate rooms].

My overall thought on this is, it is a place for influencers, a commercialised overpriced fake environment, the only thing missing is it is in Bali and not Dubai

Never again.

Been coming here for yoga, ecstatic dance and breathwork classes, and I agree with some reviews that the quality varies immensely across teachers. Some really feel like beginners, but the price of the class is the same as the best teachers. Seems a bit counterintuitive.

Also most classes are filled with tourists and beginners, so don’t expect the level of the class to be very advanced or challenging. With all of this said, I’ve come back because I enjoy the variety of classes offered.

However, yesterday I went to a meditation class where I felt really ripped off and wish I’d just left halfway through and gotten my money back. The teacher didn’t really guide the meditation live - he just played a recording (which is an old recording I’ve known since 2017) and said he was there to “hold space” for the extremely packed class while we listened to the recording and acted on it. On top of that, there was a blessing he gave me at the end of the meditation, which I’ve received many times before (used to be called Deeksha and now called Oneness blessing). It typically lasts a few seconds, but his blessing barely lasted 1 second. Felt very rushed. But to me the worst was at the end when he spent 15min promoting his upcoming meditation course and asking the Chinese students in the room to market his services to their friends in Hong Kong. It felt extremely tone deaf and overly commercial, especially after a supposedly “conscious” experience.

This experience will definitely make me hesitate to go back to other meditation classes at Yoga Barn.

Really nice place to spend a calm evening, like a bubble inside the noisy Ubud city centre. At the cafeteria, they have ceremonial cacao and veggie and vegan options. I loved the vegan burger

As expected, very beautiful, natural and comfortable
The teacher in charge was great and I felt very comfortable after the class.
The trial class costs 150k per session, and the report went smoothly 30 minutes in advance.
Because it is too famous and a bit commercial, there will be many students in the class, so it is recommended to arrive early to warm up.

This place felt like a second home while I stayed in Ubud. They offer a great variety of classes with very kind and well trained teachers, I have tried multiple yoga styles, pilates, PiYo and meditation classes and I enjoyed them all. The cafe has a great selection of food and drinks, as a vegan I found it really easy to eat healthy and versatile here, everything was delicious. I’ve tried the Kush Spa as well, both massages were really pleasant and the staff was really friendly. There are so many lounge beds and benches around the complex for just reading, chilling between classes so it’s easy to spend the whole day at Yoga Barn.

I spent two months on a whim traveling to Bali and knew nothing about Yoga Barn when arriving in Ubud. It came highly recommended so I decided to buy the 20 class pass. They have an amazing variety of classes that really aren't offered in the States so I decided to try things outside of the normal. I ended up falling in love with Himalayan Kriya yoga and spent 5 of my class passes on it. Candice Halliday is an amazing, beautiful soul that is so good at what she does. Definitely try her Kriya class while you are there, you won't regret it.

Overall the many studios are all unique and beautiful. It's a place where you can spend the day at relaxing and taking classes and eating at the restaurant. A ture highlight of Ubud.

I love to practice here, but it’s frustrating when you make the effort to go to a class and it’s full. Can you please open online booking for popular classes

I will start with food. Do not eat here, their food it is too organic, i will attach a picture of worm in my soup in their restaurant. They apologised and refund the money for the meal with worm in it, overall for two we paid close to 300k, they refund 70k for the soup with worm. But i was very discussed. So do not order food here. Eat somewhere else. Dear owner, team of the restaurant cannot help if they serve worm in the soup, unless they can go back in time and be more careful with products they use, clean it well for the meal. So I will not recommend anyone from our group and our countries to eat in your restaurant.
There's some construction going on, so you can hear, some drilling, cutting, hammering here and there and no it is not the hotel next to it, it is inside of Yoga barn. So when you are trying to relax or meditate be ready for constant sounds of hammer and drilling. It js a bit annoying, hope construction will end soon.
For most classes you should come 30 mins before and if you are lucky you will be one of 30-40 ppl in the class. If not try again later. For workshops and classes you can find detailed info in their website. Classes change every week as in most places. For private sessions book it in advance, they have long waiting list. We tried sessions with Adolf and Punnu, loved it. Highly recommend it. However before taking the session, it is recommended to read about the session and for you to know what exactly you want. Results were great. For parking, enough space for scooters, bikes, not much space for cars but it was okay. Also it was very nice to read some interesting books from their library while we were waiting.

I seesawed internally on hitting up the most bougie of places, The Yoga Barn - Bali. I’m not a big yoga fan and it’s “expensive” for Bali to attend a class (150k rupiah, equivalent to £8.10), and I was worried about a lack of AC in the room (yes I’m a spoiled Westerner). Also it was a half hour walk away from my homestay and you needed to be there 45 minutes before the class even started (according to the website).

I am really glad I bit the bullet and went. I attended a lovely vinyasa (flow) yoga class, the view was amazing AND there was a yoga dog! No, there was no AC, but big ceiling fans in the room so whilst I got sweaty, I didn’t die as expected.

I got the veggie nasi goreng for brunch. Not the best I’ve had but still tasty.

The quality of instruction is exceptional - the teachers are knowledgeable, patient, and encouraging. They offer modifications and adjustments to accommodate students of all levels, ensuring that everyone gets the most out of their practice. The variety of classes offered is also impressive, ranging from gentle and restorative to challenging and invigorating.
The studio itself is spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with plenty of props and equipment available for use. The staff is friendly and accommodating, always willing to help with any questions or concerns. I also met Ibu Rini, she is so friendly and very welcoming.

Classes from Paul Teodo and Byron de Marsé are on point - some of the best in the world. Their experience and professionalism really shows. You will feel amazing after. Teacher trainings are also highly recommended for quality teaching and transformative experience.

I've been going to yoga barn for few years now but this time (december 22') it was very disappointing experience. I understand, they're very popular so they are able to lift the prices by double but still, even the vibe became different,
very commercial type, not a peaceful zen experience that you're looking for. Usually I buy unlimited monthly pass but this time it was not worth it at all, because many classes were not included in the pass and this time I didn't like many that were. I really like some of the teachers there, they have amazing energy, just natural for yoga and meditation classes. Unfortunately, there were few that completely are not ready for that. Especially there was one teacher who was guiding the class poorly, just jumping from one thought to another, her energy was just "messy", but because she said there were many russians in the class, she will also speak in russian. I also know russian, so I saw that yes, in russian she felt more comfortable and it felt more natural for her, but I really dont want to listen to russian yoga, and I'm just being honest here, because of the things that's going on now in the world and affects me personally, I was really dissappointed with Yoga Barn that chooses this controversial behaviour (they really focus on russian tourists now and offer them many retreats). It's their decision, and it's just my opinion.
