The Ungasan Clifftop Resort

A luxury experience, the view is stunning though we had a rainy day, suggest to come in March when there will be less rains and not much rubbish washed to the beach.

The staff and even the GM of hotel had a good sense of hospitality, our butler is our good friend and tries to satisfy all our needs.

One feedback is the cable car to the beach club is in renovation which we didn’t know before, it was quite a long walk uphill. And not sure the price of staying is discounted due to the inconvenience.

I just got married at The Ungasan and, WOW. I cannot say enough amazing things about this resort. It truly takes elegance to a new level. If you are considering The Ungasan as a wedding venue or a holiday destination, DO IT. I promise you will NOT be disappointed. We booked 4x villas for our wedding party / guests and each villa was more impressive than the next. Our wedding guests cannot stop raving about the resort grounds, the villas, the food, Sundays Beach Club, the butlers, you name it. 5 stars! I cannot wait to come back for every anniversary / possible occasion that my husband will allow:)

Beautiful resort and fantastic service! Loved the butler. All the staff were attentive and kind making sure my stay was as comfortable as it could be. They even lowered the music at Sunday’s Beach Club because of my sensitivity to noise, which allowed me to enjoy the beach a bit. They had a wedding while I was there but didn’t see or hear it at all. Breakfast (served in room, common area, or restaurant) was delicious. Grounds are superbly maintained.

The hotel is divided into sub-sections where a set of ~5 rooms share a common area, garden, pool, and butler. Some of these sections are 5 bedroom villas while others ~5 one bedroom villas.

Reason I’m giving this place 4 and not 5 stars is:
- Not all rooms of the same category are equal, some have better views/layout than others. For example, the first room I got (plunge pool) had walls all around it, felt like prison. Management had anticipated this and I was able to move to another (garden) room but even there some rooms had walls on 3/4 sides and others 2/4 sides, so the hotel experience and value for money will depend on the room received;
- While the hotel is clean and maintained, it feels run down. For example the reception toilets were dark and damp with a shaky tap or the lamp shades by the bed were all chipped.

I was a partner wedding organizer from Renata & Raj wedding, it was midnight like 23.30 and I left my charger in pawana masterbedroom, the villa already locked but there's one staff named Kadek Arsana help me to find my charger even its already out of his shift, he was so nice and kind please give him promotion or at least a bonus

Samudera Hindia, Lawn hijau yang terawat sangat baik & cukup luas, Kesan pertama yang sulit dilupakan! We have been here for wedding events and private occasions. Highly recommended for weddings, intimate gathering, also romantic dinner in the gazebo! LOVE

Nice, the beach club is actually the best thing on this resort, the service they run at the beach club are amazing, they are so friendly, so helpful, and so kind

Attended a wedding here. Amazing location, with each villa being appointed in a different style allowing for different functions or events to take place across a weekend without venue repeats! In each villa you are appointed a butler and a PA who provide attentive service.
Sunday’s beach club accessed via a funicular is a special touch, for gorgeous sunsets. Overall, just amazing!

Lovely location with amazing staff who really look after their guests. The rooms are lovely and the views are amazing.

My son and fiancee got married here on Tuesday it is the most awesome wedding venue! Must be the loveliest wedding I've ever been too!

Our family stayed early August in Villa Ambar attentively attended by Dama& Lofen whose service& friendliness we could not fault. Abaolutely everyting at the resort is simply amazing& of a high standard with attention to detail-the perfect place for a memorable wedding. Thank you Ungasan

The most luxury with a local feeling. Stunning views atop the cliff from the ocean view room. Great beach club with beanbags, sun chairs, surf side restaurant.
What they call a 5 bedroom villa is a small compound with 5 freestanding 1 bedroom buildings inside and a common pool, kitchen, lounging area. Some people might consider each bedroom building a villa. We booked out both ocean view rooms in separate villas. If you need multiple rooms and will hang out together during the day, I recommend getting rooms in the same villa using the common space, even if not everyone gets an oceanview. If you're a couple and will spend most of the time in the privacy of your room, the oceanview is higjly recommended.
The only drawbacks were the steep price (as advertised, so I can't complain really) but more importantly for one of the mornings, the butler served our breakfast to the wrong room, then brought it to us 30 minutes later (-1) otherwise overall great service!

THE MOST PERFECT WEDDING VENUE!
We had out wedding at Ungasan Clifftop Resort in 2017 and we cannot speak highly enough of this incredible venue.
Melissa Moyle and her team absolutely dlivered on all aspects that made our day perect. The stunning villa was immaculate and beautifully decorated, the view was devine, the food was absolutely delicious (our guests commented on the food being some of the best food they've ever eaten at a wedding), the staff were so friendly and helpful and of course the way that the team operated with our wedding planners could not have been better.
Thank you so much, our day could not have been more perfect!

The resort hosts Sunday Beach Club. Pretty chill environment. Note that there'a an entrance fee of 300k idr per person. Inclusive of 150k idr food credit.
