The Uma Guest House

What a beautiful place it is! Very comfortable, you can hear the sound of nature around, the garden is so beautiful a place to rest in crazy Canggu! I LOVE it! There is no breakfast but the near coffee place delivery an amazing breakfast just at your room door, the number is inside the room!

Very good hotel and very good atmosphere. Everything was clean and the garden with the pool is very nice, our room overlooked the pool and seemed like it was private. The bed comfortable and clean. The only problem is the towels that have a strange color and ask for a change now. Otherwise all great.

Nice and quiet place. We had some noise from equipment from the rice field but it was not an issue as they only work when the sun is out.
Over great location, slightly off the grid, but just a 10-15 min scooter ride from the busy area.
Only issue was water pressure in the shower and smell coming out of the toilet. Other than that it was great.

Excellent rooms and location. Had thought it was a little better than it was. The staff were nice and helpful.

What a great place to stay! We absolutely loved it there. The rooms are perfectly clean, the staff is super friendly, the pool and kitchen area is very nice and it's easy to go to all the places around canggu and seminyak by scooter

A beautiful place in Canggu, close to a lot of interesting spots. The Guest House is very quiet, a awesome spot to chill and hide from the busy streets. The staff is very kind and near the Guest House there is a very cheap and delicious Warung which is delivering food to your room for free via WhatsApp.

I stayed in Uma Guest House on Aug 2022.
Stayed in upstair PoolView Room.
+ it has well maintained garden & pool, and you can see neighboring padi fields.
+ The room is quite spacious.
+The bed is comfy.
+ The lights are sufficient (not a dark room).
+ In the evening, from the balcony of my room you can hear frogs from the neighboring padi fields and faint music from some club.

- Don't like the bathroom, where everything can get wet when you shower.
+ however it has a nice hot water shower, so it' good.

From Pantai Berawa street, you need to go thru Pura Beten Kepuh street. The street has a small opening (can only fits 1 car), but then it widens in the midle and can fits 2 cars.

It's a bit far to walk to the cafes and beaches, however there's plenty transportion alternatives (rent a motorcycles or hire an online ojek/car)

In general, I like the place.

I’ve stayed at several places in Canggu when I come down on the weekends to surf and hang out. Uma is by far my favorite. Ive stayed here 5+ times. The guesthouse is down a little alleyway 100m off of Jalan Pantai Berawa so it’s super quiet even during the day. The whole property is beautiful, with a huge shared kitchen/dining area, pool with rice terrace view, and clean grassy/pebbles walkways made for you to walk around barefoot. Kitchen has two refrigerators, water cooler, and fully stocked with all the things you need to cook. The rooms are super clean with comfy beds and an AC unit that gets as cold as you need it. Curtains are black our curtains in case you need a midday siesta. The half in/outdoor rain shower and bathroom is beautiful too. Host/owner is a lovely person.

The BEST value in Canggu. I’m hesitant to even write this because it feels like a hidden gem. My go to spot when visiting Canggu. Uber friendly staff. Great pool with an open kitchen next to it. Off the main street so it stays quiet at night and in the morning. Love this place.

This place just recently opened up. So all the rooms, furniture and mattresses are new, which is very nice.
The rooms are very simple yet very nice. The rooms have a private outdoor bathroom. The bathrooms are the reason why I cannot give a 5 star review. The aircon outlet is within the bathroom. This means that all the hot air is blown into the bathroom heating it up like an oven. It was seriously not possible to spend 3 minutes inside the bathroom without being all sweaty again. Every time we intended to use the bathroom to get ready for going out we had to turn of the aircon a while before so it wouldn't be so hot.

The hotel offers a kitchen and a common area. There is a stove, fridge and some cutlery and dishes you can use. Everything is semi-clean like in every other hostel.

Moreover there is a tiny little pool which was always clean during our stay.

The staff was always friendly and helpful. They helped us rent a scooter for a good price.
The location of the pace is okay if you ride a scooter. If you intent to walk everywhere you will walk a lot.

The Uma Guest House is very cute and what I did like a lot is that you can get away from the loud and crazy roads of Canggu. A very quiet and relaxing place with a nice little outdoor kitchen. And very cool that they did provide free drinkable water to fill up your bottles every day.
The pool was also a nice add-on and good to just refresh.

The room itself was clean and the mattress very comfy. The only thing that we did not enjoy was the heat in the bathroom. It is an open bathroom which is fine, but as soon as you turn the aircon on inside your bedroom the bathroom gets really hot. The aircon engine is located in the bathroom and completely heats up the whole bathroom. Even if we turned off the aircon for a while to use the bathroom it took at least an hour to cool down.

But I would totally recommend staying there as it is a nice and quite getaway.
