The Temple Lodge

You’re not allowed to use the pool even if you spend here half a day and 1.5mil. We came to do yoga in the morning, then had breakfast and we planned to stay 1-2 hours here, using the pool relaxing. Then we wanted to do massage.

We were told it’s not possible to use the pool because “there is a sign that only room guests can use the pool”.

Terrible feeling in the morning I can tell, we wouldn’t have come if we knew this.

You’re only a full guest here if you spend 200 usd on a room… can’t enjoyyoga, restaurant and massage to the full extent.

We had planned a relaxing day at this location, starting with yoga and breakfast, and looking forward to spending some time by the pool before enjoying a massage. Unfortunately, we were informed that the pool is only available to room guests, a detail that was not made clear to us beforehand. This left us quite disappointed and had we known about this restriction, we would have likely made alternate arrangements.

Loved our stay at The Temple Lodge. Rustic bohemian rooms, kind staff, great food, and the best view in Uluwatu. A true gem - hope it stays like this forever. Not for those seeking modern luxuries.

Only sharing about the yoga experience. This was a wonderful place to practice yoga. We practiced with Jessica, who is a very experienced teacher and understands true yoga (not your 1hr express fitness type yoga). The building is old and traditional too. Well worth finding it.

Tempat yang sangat nyaman dan hijau. Sayang lingkungan sekitar bnyak melakukan kontruksi jadi sangat berdebu, dirambah karna musim kering. Tpi untuk the temple lodge sangat2 bagus dan karyawan sangat ramah.

I don't get the opportunity to sleep in these magic place, but if you are lucky to go there for sleeping and make a full body massage with sister Ela, you will definitely not regret it at all, those hands are magic on your body and special thanks a lot also to magic staff at the reception

We didn’t stay at this lovely place unfortunately but happen to wander in one day for a bite to eat! Wow such beautiful views looking out onto the ocean! I had a Balinese massage there & it has to be the best one I’ve had this trip! Worth a visit, a hidden gem!

This is my first night staying here at The Temple Lodge in, 'the nook'.
I booked my accommodation for three men. From what I could see online our Bungalow would sleep up to four and given how much more expensive this accommodation is over the neighbouring properties I assumed it would be able to accomodste three single men on a surf trip. We normally stay in cheaper accommodation but I thought it would be a nice treat for all of us to stay somewhere nice with a nice view. When you walk to where the pool is the view is lovely.
However, we were provided with a double bed for me and my friend and were told our other friend could sleep in an outdoor hut.although it's nit a hut, it's a day bed with mosquito netting.
When I arrived and assessed the situation I advised that I wouldn't share a bed with my friend. The solution is for me to sleep on the floor on a mattress. Normally I wouldn't have a problem with this but for how expensive the accommodation is, sleeping on the floor doesn't seem right.
My friends had to go and find other accommodation elsewhere. As I write this from my room in the Nook, all I can hear is scooters reving their engines as they travel up the alleyway right next to the room. Lucky I have ear plugs! I hope they work. I tried to shower and the hot water ran out almost immediately.
Anyway, I'm disappointed so far and in hindsight I should have just stayed in cheaper accommodation that in my opinion is superior to this place

What a beautiful sunset spot. On my way out I noticed they have a steam room as well. Next time I’m here I’d love to try the spa. Pasta was pleasant. Would love if they had international wines.

A beautiful place to stay with absolutely lovely staff. We stayed at the eagles nest suite which had an incredible view & was a beautiful stay. We had occasional visits from monkeys but they weren’t much of an issue as we kept everything locked away/doors closed. The stairs up and down (approx 40 to the suite) were steep but not too bad, although they may be challenging for people with impaired mobility or injury. There are other suites without stairs to enter/exit if that would be an issue. The pool was perfect with an incredible view. Included breakfast was delicious & dinner at the restaurant was also amazing. Would highly recommend! We will definitely be back to stay ️ Special mentions to staff Kadek & Dwi who looked after us so well.

Did a yoga class here at 8am, instructor was brilliant and the vibe was perfect, definitely recommend

We went to the restaurant for a night and had an amazing experience. Food was made with Italian love and very cosy atmosphere. Recommend the risotto and tacos. ️

Avoid this place. The owner Mario will try to rip you off no matter what. Angry and unprofessional old man. It’s very unfortunate to have such a bad person on a such beautiful island.

Edoardo the owner is such a lovely human. I ordered a buffet from him for a party and it was perfectly within budget and very very delicious. He also came to my house to set it all up and make sure everything was presented beautifully. Highly recommend the food. I am from Italy and it’s Italian approved for sure!
