The Sun of Granary Resort and Villas

Staff were so lovely and thoughtful. They noticed my birthday on my passport and surprised me on the day with a cake and sung happy birthday. Thank you for that special act! The breakfast were so filling! The coffee amazing. The restaurant food was great. The villa was so relaxing and I loved seeing the fireflies flying around the resort. Massage amazing! All service was wonderful, they would try to go above and beyond to help. We hope to come back one day! Thank you!

Rooms are tiny, not at all spacious.
Also fumigation is to be done inside the rooms as well.
However breakfast was pretty decent.

Pool villa reservation. The rooms are pretty and the pool is larger and deeper than expected. The floating breakfast is also pretty and prepared with care. Rather, the depth of the water made it difficult to take pictures. It's a small resort, but the landscaping is pretty and the staff are all friendly. In particular, it was nice that the person at the reception with a pretty nose mainly responded to the service Breakfast and dinner were delicious. (Buffet It is far from the center of Ubud, but close to Tea Cafe. What's disappointing is that there are too many ants. Ants are moving around in swarms, and no matter how many times I tell them, they won't go away. My arm stings, and when I look at it, I see that ants are already on my body. When I go to Southeast Asia, there are some ants in the bathroom, but this is my first time seeing so many. Seeing them crowding around made me feel scared and depressed. The quarantine seems to be too weak. And breakfast tends to be served late, so if you have breakfast and have reservations for a tour, etc, you should leave with plenty of time to spare. It usually takes about 20 minutes. It was perfect except for the ants. If only the ants could do something, I would like to visit again. Please just get rid of the ants.

Nice hotel with a great staff. We was happy there.

I with my family undertook a trip at Bali in the last week of October, 2023. We checked in at this resort poolvilla on 29th and checkedout on 1st october. It was a fantastic resort to take the leisure trip here, the location especially in the cedntre of Indonesian village surrounded by paddy field. The is a small pool attached to our villa, we enjoyed the pool in the evening. As a photographer and naturalist I came to see Tokay Lizard here. Took lots of phots of Tokay lizard.

Sebuah tempat yang jauh dari keriuhan, eksotis dan dikelilingi hamparan sawah yang menghijau. Cukup dekat dengan perkampungan sekitar menambah suasana asli bali pedesaan yang asri. Udara sekitar yang begitu segar dan bersih. Pengalaman yang mengesankan. Semoga keindahan dan ketentramannya tetap terjaga.

Really peaceful location surrounded by rice fields and a lot of green. View was great, nice hotel garden with a fish pond, nice located swimming pool with bar and the sound in the morning … only nature (and other guests perhaps) No car sounds, just quiet.

Massage place looks very nice and the masseuse had great skills by locating and treating the problem areas.

Breakfast you can choose the day before. They offer a long list with options for everyone. Not eating from a buffet (like more than you can), but balanced portion with quality food. Additional you can take some extra food as a supplement from a small buffet, which they change daily with another choice.

Friendly staff as you can expect in Bali mostly. And the rooms were great styled. Love this place and since we go to Ubud every (two) year, the chance is likely we book here again.

The best resort, we have enjoyed every min of it. Very clean and best service, this place is so close to nature if you are nature lover you can’t leave this place. Restaurant and their food also very good. Will visit again.

After a long commute from Central Java, we were pretty beaten up once we've reached our destination. Luckily, The Sun of Granary knows how to deliver.

We were greeted with so much hospitality and checking in has never been easier - all whilst we were enjoying our welcome drink.

The layout of the resort is really well thought of and the rooms, especially the Royal Suite, are magnificent. Being surrounded by rice paddies made us enjoy our breakfast and cocktail hours even more.

We have really enjoyed our stay and looking forward to stay here again!

I had the pleasure of staying at the hotel in January 2023 and wanted to share my experience with others on Google. Overall, I had a positive stay and wanted to highlight some of the key aspects that stood out to me:

The staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly throughout our stay. They went above and beyond to ensure that I was comfortable and had everything I needed.
The room was clean and well-appointed. I appreciated the attention to detail in the decor and amenities provided.
The location of the hotel was perfect for my needs - it was in the middle of rice fields with local rice field view.

While the hotel has free wifi, I noticed that in our room the wifi connection was spotty and unreliable during our stay, which was frustrating when trying to work or stream entertainment. The noise level from the neighboring rooms and the hotel area was quite high, which made it difficult to relax in the evening (during the day: Tractors of local rice farmers; in the evening: music bands of the hotel). We noticed the bright bathroom light shining on the room when one went in the night and woke up my friend.

The price of the hotel was reasonable given the location and amenities provided. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to others. However, I do think that there are some areas for improvement, particularly in the negative aspects. If you are looking for a sign of whether to stay at this hotel. My gosh the level of service was unparalleled from entry to exit and all the things that are included as part of the package. Thanks Fuji and Indry for impeccable and timely service and never missing a beat. I wish more people knew about this hotel because it deserves a bigger name and more people staying there. There’s a lot of extra activities offered by the hotel and airport shuttle is included. If you are going you must get the pool villas worth the extra fee. Would definitely recommend

Oh dear, where do I start? As a frequent traveler, this was a dream. I literally cannot fault one thing. The location is ethereal, in the middle of rice fields, it's absolutely gorgeous and very quiet. Night sky is super clear with no light pollution. The resort is massive and I really have to compliment the designer because the details in the resort like the structures and the koi ponds everywhere was gorgeous and very well thought.

We booked a private villa with a pool which was again massive and beautifully designed. There are so many thoughtful details like sun beds, dining table in the porch with a huge couch to relax. The room was tastefully done and spotless with alot of space. Every facility you can think of is provided, including toiletries and umbrellas etc. Bathroom was huge and beautifully done, shower was really hot with high pressure water which you rarely find while traveling to remote places. The staff is adorable, it's quite young but give 5 star service and could not be any more considerate! They are always friendly and smiling and ready to help with anything you might need. The girls at the front desk and restaurant are cute as a button and the men are very handy. I needed to draw cash pretty late at night and a gentleman at the front desk drove me to town on a Scooty for a very reasonable amount and I'm so thankful for that.

The chefs are amazing, food is delectable and shockingly well priced. Even though it's a luxury resort the food is priced lower than some common restaurants outside.

Don't miss Shiro, the resort dog who takes time to warm up to you but is lovely. I went for a walk super early in the morning and he decided to escort me to keep me safe and stuck with me till I came back to the hotel. But he tends to nip when he gets excited so be careful.

I want to thank and congratulate the entire staff at Sun Granary, right from the front desk to maintainance to the housekeeping team. Everyone was so lovely, I'm really missing the place now ️

Beautiful resort and the staff are absolutely amazing. The drinks and food were also very delicious. We had only one issue with a frog stuck in our room that they could not get to so they upgraded us to a larger villa for the rest of the time spent there. 100 of of 10 rating! I highly recommend.

Relaxing place to stay in Ubud surrounded by rice fields & nature. We rented the villa and was superb! Spacious, own pool, bath tub and more. Staff were friendly too and different menus were served for dinner. Massage could’ve been better at the spa (a little overpriced for the service but hey they tried).

We booked this place on the last minute and had zero expectations but we were blown away by the service. The staff went the extra mile to make sure our stay was enjoyable and accommodated to our needs. Breakfast was good. The place is tucked deep in the rice fields but there’s a shuttle to the city centre. Despite this, it was nice and quaint. The only feedback we have was to upgrade the TV as it was quite outdated and the shower took some time to become warm. Overall, I loved the place and would come back.

Amazing food, amazing views of the rice paddies, very friendly service. Enjoyed a lovely dinner on a weeknight. If you want to wind down and enjoy a quiet night with a nice meal and a drink, then I recommend you give Sun of Granary a go.

Great value for money, the restaurant has amazing Indonesian food. Must try their desserts as well.

We recommend this resort in Tegalalang. Everything was good; the hospitality, the infinity pool with lush greenery views, the gym with complete equipment and greenery views, the spa is very relaxing, the room is amazing and the food is very delicious. The hotel is hidden in the jungle with rice terrace views but less than 20 minutes to Tirta Empul, Tegalalang Rice Terrace, and Ubud Center. However, is the services provided that make this resort special. The staff is super friendly, and the location is beautiful, especially during breakfast you can enjoy the view of rice terraces while having your morning coffee. It’s a relaxing resort perfect for couples who like to relax and stay away from the noisy streets of Ubud. The hotel offers free shuttles to Ubud center and also helps rent bikes or arrange tours. For families with kids, there’s a cute kiddie pool with a slide as well.
