The Commotion Canggu

Pictures say 1,000 words. This was my first ever hostel! What a great experience. I made so many new friends, the owners and staff treat you like family. I was only suppose to stay in Canggu for a week, but I enjoyed it so much. I ended up staying here for an additional week. For the people that have negative reviews, let me clarify some things. This is not a 5 star villa, but it is affordable with a 10 minute walk to the beach. If you want to feel fancy, then ask for room/house number 6. It has a private bathroom and the room is up to date. It’s a little more pricy, but that’s how you will have your 5 star villa experience. Also if you want less or no bugs in your room make sure to close the door and tell your roommates to do the same. I was in room/house number 3 and had no bug issues. I would constantly close the door and remind everyone to do the same. The AC at least in my room was amazing for those super hot days. Bathrooms can use a little work, but the smell came from the people who stayed at the hostel. I remember waking up at 8am every morning after partying to go to the gym. I would see either throw up or the toilet not flushed in the men’s bathroom, which left from the night before. Obviously I flushed, but some of the comments I’ve read are not accurate. As far as peace and quiet, this is not the spot as the staff loves to entertain everyone and ensure everyone has a great experience. For anyone looking to stay at a place in Canggu The Commotion in Canggu is the spot to be. As you won’t only get a party life, but you will also see mountains, sun rise, sun set waterfalls, monkeys, new beaches, local food, and learn how not to get ripped off in Canggu/Bali. Just make sure to ask the owners and staff questions. They can arrange anything and if they don’t know the answer, they will find it. I’m going to miss my Canggu family! I’ll be back next year. Thank you guys again for an amazing experience.

Maybe the friendliest and best hostel I’ve stayed at! It’s extremely welcoming and social, going above and beyond, to include everyone and taking us guests for great nights out, to the best food spots and for sunset swims in the sea. There is free flow cocktails many nights. The rooms are very comfortable, cool and clean for sleeping. I made many friends here. All in all it is an A+ hostel.

Good location for where I needed to be, toilets and showers need a bit of TLC but can be dealt with, only major thing that ruined the owner.turned out to be a thief of personal possessions. For this reason, I will most likely not be returning, which is a shame.

Great stay, the rooms were really comfortable and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Very social hostel with a great vibe, nice pool, and good social activities every night.

I've been travelling around Asia for 12 weeks, I can honestly say this was the best and most enjoyable hostel I stayed at.

The rooms were clean and quiet, the people very nice and helpful, and the washrooms were clean too with good showers! Was in a good location so a quick walk to local town and the beach.

Stayed at the hostel for two nights, they were clean, air conditioned and spacious!
The location was great as was easy to walk to everywhere or just get a ten minute grab whilst it was also quiet around night!
The pool was lovely and the staff were too!
When checking out Nahid offered to take us to Ubud for such a good price along with some good requests for the car kareoke!
We then found out the hostel were doing a mount batur tour and we could get picked up from our new place, I’m so glad we did it as it was one of the best things so far in Bali that we have done and everybody is so lovely!
Would recommend and definitely stay again and thankyou Nahid you made our trip amazing!

The Commotion Hostel in Canggu Shortcut, is absolutely awesome! As a solo traveler, staying there for a whole month was super exciting! The hostel's location in the heart of Canggu was perfect for exploring the area and enjoying the vibrant cafes, nightlife, and beaches of Bali.

The staff at the Commotion Hostel were incredibly friendly and always had a smile on their faces. They made me feel welcome and went out of their way to ensure I had a great time during my stay. The rooms were cozy and clean, and the beds were super comfy. I loved having the privacy curtains and lockers for my belongings.

But what really made this hostel stand out was the social atmosphere. I had the chance to meet amazing fellow travelers from all over the world and make new friends. The common areas were always buzzing with energy, and the organized activities made it easy to connect with others.

The hostel staff were also amazing at giving recommendations for things to do and helping with bookings and transportation. They made sure I had everything I needed to make the most of my Bali adventure.

Overall, I would give The Commotion Hostel an A+! It truly exceeded my expectations with its prime location, friendly staff, and vibrant social scene. My one-month stay there was filled with incredible experiences and unforgettable memories. I highly recommend this hostel to anyone traveling solo in Bali!

The staff are so lovely here. Big shout out to everyone! The rooms are lovely, curtain and storage for bags etc. Pool is pretty looks out onto the mini bungalows. Will definitely be back

Loved this place! Came here in a group of 6 for 3 nights and had the best time! The owners and staff are so welcoming and lovely.great place to meet new people as well as a great location!

we had issues getting the address of our next place to stay, but were encouraged to stay by the pool as long as we needed, and leave our bags behind the desk by the commotion.

Stayed here a couple of weeks ago and had the best time! Really friendly and helpful staff and good value for money. Really central and only a 10 minute walk from the beach. Highly recommend

The staff was so lovely and really friendly, great walking distance from places, and the pool was so nice to dip into after a day of adventures! Absolutely loved my time with this hostel!

This was my first hostel, I loved the manager and it‘s a very good price ratio for what you get.they have an ac and a nice pool, you can buy drinks and water is for free.also the location is perfect if you enjoy canggu

The location was good, the staff was amazing. However there were lot of insects and spider everywhere from the toilets, bathroom and beds. Can be better
