Thai Pantry

I wasn't thrilled at all, there was no warm tea for dinner and the food wasn't good. I wanted to eat Thai for the first time and under the soup section there was food that was so dry. A pile of glass balls and chicken on the side. I told the waiter that I wanted soup. But it wasn't like that. It was expensive fun for nothing!

Very nice restaurant! The cocktails are quite unusual and taste fantastic! You can also eat vegan there, but unfortunately there is little choice. The Pad Thai and the Green Curry can be ordered vegan and taste great!

Nice scenic spot - but the Thai food here is not good or even done right. Khao soi w/ chicken usually has a big drumstick and this just had cut-up pieces of chicken, probably cooked from frozen. Noodles were so over-cooked it was a gummy sludge. And there was zero spice, despite the menu warnings about using Asian spice levels. We also ordered Larb (also very bland) and “shrimps in a sarong” (these were decent). Overall super disappointing. Thai lovers, steer clear!

My wife and I dined here on September 22nd, 2023. This restaurant really takes service on “Island Time” seriously. We were promptly seated at our table for our 6: 30pm reservation, but after that everything seemed to be a free for all. Traditional restaurants have servers assigned to certain sections of the restaurant. Here, each server was all over the restaurant to the point where I believe we saw 4 different faces come to our table throughout the night. We ordered multiple items. The chicken satay, pork bites, vegetable spring rolls, chicken pad Thai and yellow chicken curry. I don’t want to knock the chicken satay too much, but it was different from any other we tried on our trip and the flavor profile was not appetizing. The pork bites were good as well as the spring rolls and pad Thai. The free for all server set up made wait times extremely long between appetizers and main courses. Finally when the pad Thai arrived, the curry was nowhere to be found. We flagged down a server after about 10 minutes of the pad Thai being finished and let her know we were missing the curry. She left us very urgently making us feel that the issue would be corrected. After about 15 more minutes and no other contact from any servers, we got up, walked to the counter and asked for our bill with the curry removed of course. Overall, we enjoyed most of the food we did eat. The restaurant has potential, but needs a more structured set up when it comes to guest service. Hopefully management actually reads these reviews and takes steps to make things better.

The food is very delicious, however, the portions are small, and the prices are higher compared to other places on the island.

The service is extremely slow, some people left the place because after a long time, no one took their order. The place was almost empty and there were enough staff, but apparently there was not much coordination between them.

The staff was always friendly.:)

Beautiful location, located in Jungutbatu hill.

Reservation not required, but this place can be full during rush hour. Went here 2 times, and the last one we made a reservation through the website.we came here for sunset watching and dinner, beautiful spot with the view of Jungutbatu beach.
Food wise, we order some starters and some mains. Chicken wings was okay, their khao soi is delicious.
But the food takes a while, staff also okay. First time we went there when the food arrive, the staff pass it to me instead of put it on the table. Which is okay for a dish, but for all 4 dish that we order, we take the food from the waiters.

The second time we went there, the other staff is okay, they put it on the table right-away instead of passing it to us.

But thanks for the service.

Fast friendly service and delicious pad Thai. We arrived and filled the last table, we expected the wait times to be long but we’re pleasantly surprised when our food and drinks arrived reasonably fast. We ordered the mock tails, spring rolls and pad Thai and it was amazing! Just what we felt like. All the staff were lovely. Would definitely recommend.

Randomly went here for dinner as we were staying at a hotel next door, and OMG best Thai food I’ve ever had. I’ve been to Thailand and it tasted exactly the same. Everything was so fresh and the perfect amount of spicy. Want to go back to Bali just for this restaurant.

Very good location and atmosphere. The food is more for lunch than dinner (luckily their steamed fish can be eaten all day)

Avoid it. This is the worst Thai in my life.

First they give us a table where the paint is letting lose my child hands, arms and face are all under de paint chips. If you come here you only pay for the view the dishes are mediocre (tasteless) and not worth it what you pay for it. I have eat better on this island for way less. The staff is very slow and it looks like they don’t want to help you. You almost must beg them to wanna help you. We have ordered the pork ribs, pork belly, chicken wings, chicken satay and the green curry with extra rice with a watermelon juice, pineapple juice and pina colada virgin.
We have payed for 2 adult and 1 child (2 years) 660k. Way to much for what you get. I do no recommend it to another. Better go to some other place where it worth it. It is located on the island Nusa Lembongan

Really amazing Thai food with a great view and nice enough service.
Portions are quite small, but thats no bad thing, just be aware.beforehand.
The dishes are quite hot but absolutely sublime

I only had breakfast there.
It was terrible.
Over priced and the food was a small serving and not good at all.
Had to go and eat somewhere else, still hungry.
Friends said the Thai at night is pretty good, though.

Coman was our waiter and he is so kind and gave us great service. The food was excellent and the view was beautiful! We actually ordered the Pad Thai twice because it was so great! The drinks were very good too

Really enjoyed the dishes in this beautiful restaurant. Thai Pantry has stunning views up the beach. Enjoyed the Penang curry and the Jungle curry. Beware the jungle curry does have a kick.

We had a great time here. The staff is friendly and both good and drinks came very fast (it was pretty empty during our visit). The Thai Beef with Spinach Salad tasted great for a very reasonable price. Many beers and cocktails available. Last but not least, the view is awesome!

It’s ok. Not the best Thai food I’ve ever had and not the worst. Wouldn’t rush back but if I really wanted Thai food on Lembongan would probably be fine. We had the pad Thai and jungle curry. Jungle curry was quite thin.

The food, the cocktails and the view are delicious! The staff are fun and friendly too … we needed a quick meal before departing and our waiter helped us choose the food which was scrumptious and we were on our way! Perfect, thank you so much xx see you asap!

Thai Pantry, Lembongan Island: Arguably the only Thai on the island and if not, probably the best on the island. It's a killer combi of killer views, rocking Thai food and kickback baby blue beach vibes. It is a very popular spot indeed. Be sure to get Tom Yum soup - the cocktail of various herbs and spices of level 10 spiciness will make you sweat your kit off. Pad Thai shrimp was so delish you want to lick the sauce off the plate. Thai Milk tea wasn't so well done and happy hour cocktails sounded good theoretically at 20% off but when I tried to order at 5.27 PM (last call 5.30 PM), I was told the system was off. This is next to The Deck, so be sure to get another view of the killer view next door. #eatstylishtravelstylish

We were excited to go here but it was a flurry of disappointment. They lost our booking, refused to let us in. Eventually they did and we were told it would be a long wait for food. They couldn’t tell us how long specifically, but the groans from the other tables was felt - many had waited for 1+ hours. We noticed the kitchen was dishing out takeaway orders.
We sacked it off and went elsewhere….
rude staff. Poor service. Cant comment on the food.

It was AMAZING! Not sure why it’s getting such a bad rap from others, the team members were fabulous, the food was so tasty and we eat a lot of Thai! We ordered 3x starters, pad Thai and curry for the two of us- it was completely ample. Ok, we did sneak in dessert too- the Thai pancake - it was SO good. Thanks for having us and see you next time we are here.
