Tangkub Waterfall - Bukit Hijau

Found this place by accident but loved it so much! A kind store owner at the market took us through the paddy field by walking. Magical place with stunning view of green canyon. In my opinion it's better than the tekad cepung nearby. We had the whole waterfall area to ouselves for half an hour until there's another couple came.

A really nice waterfall. We were all alone when we visited. Important: there is about 1.5 km to do on a really small dirt roat. Possible by motorbike, but you must be a good driver, not easy to access!

Loved it here, went there twice and almost didn't see anyone else down there:)

Very quiet place with some spider webs across the water.

Be prepared to take off your shoes as you have to walk through the river to get to the waterfall.

Until now, this is off the beaten track attraction. It's a long long walk from the main road Jalan Besakih raya. If you're an adventurer then you should go by motorbike, it's very useful later in that area, any type motorbike should fit the field. You can ride your motorbike until the path ended and goes by feet.

If you use a car, you must park your car in the parking area of Pasar Yangapi. Park there, and walk-out from the local market, turn right and walk until you see a small path (across the path there's a Balinese warung). Walk in the path and your suffering begin, it's a long long walk, but you'll enjoy it because it's really walk in the middle of nowhere, at the right and left you'll see rice fields everywhere, sometimes a ground with flower.

Unlike several places in Bali, the local people here don't care with your walking problem, they never offer to take you with their motorbike or guide you to the attraction, even when you ask direction they only help you with pointing it or tell you to walk through. They all very nice and friendly people but they prefer work and work in their fields. So you're alone and alone.

Follow this never ending path until the end, from here you must be careful because it's getting rough and rougher. Use stick to help you walk, because sometime the road slippery with small gravel, just remember, you're really alone in this area, nobody will help you if accident happen to you, and it'll so hard to help you too, so be careful again and don't go alone. The view is nice and you'll feel one with nature.from the end of the path is still long way, finally you'll see a stairs, don't worry not so many steps, just be careful.

Then you'll in hidden canyon, very amazing and very breathtaking view. In the rainy season it will full covered with green moss, and it's very dangerous to visit, it's real nature hidden canyon. All your effort will be paid full. If you're spiritual person then you can meditate in this place very very lonely. There's no tourist, and not a single soul in this place.

At the end of the steps there's a direction sign that tell you to Tangkub waterfall, it's a beautiful waterfall with magical view and very hidden. It's a magic moment in there.

Enjoy the magic scene the go back to the main road. You can eat or drink at the warung (small local restaurant) across the street, they have ayam goreng (fried chicken) with Balinese vegetables.

The air is still not polluted. The land had no litter nor plastic rubbish, really a beautiful and virgin of my motherland, so natural. Best for contemplating. Really peaceful being here since few people coming.
