Sunrise Cottage n Restaurant Nusa Penida

Good morning

The location of the hotel is incredible, we are literally at the edge of the water, however the service and the bathrooms leave something to be desired….
It is really disappointing, this hotel is to flee from the service and the bathroom, I will not even dare to take my shower because it was so unsanitary, see the photos below.
The staff is not at all welcoming unlike all the hotels I have been to on the island I am really really disappointed…

This place was heaven. Not only the view, but the people were amazing. It's a small place with only eight rooms and that's one of the best parts about it. We enjoyed the sound of the waves. It was so relaxing. We stayed 6 nights and I would have stayed longer. Thank you Alit and the whole team for making us feel at home and taking such good care of my family. I hope to come back one day. It's amazing to be able to see the sunrise and the sunset from the same spot every day. Breakfast was great, definitely try the Eggs Benedict and the Sunrise Bowl. This hotel is really a nice little boutique stay. Good rooms, friendly staff and a view that is just stunning. You can check out the sunset from your balcony or from the swimming pool while you enjoying a cocktail

Good:
Nice rooms with seaview and view on vulcano. Good price. Good comfortable bed. Good area with Restaurants. You here the waves of the ocean falling asleep and waking up. Private Pool and beach. Helped to organize a lot.

Bad: you also here the noise from the street from 6am in the morning. Bathrooms are quite old, smell strong and are not really cared. Breakfast is not as good as everywhere else.

It's a good hotel for 1-2 nights at Nusa penida. But didn't fulfill our honeymoon expectations compared to other hotels we stayed.

When choosing hotel for a view. This is the best choice.
You get a superb ocean view with a feeling of beach and plus point is pool in the centre.
They just have 8 rooms available, if pre planned always ask for 1st floor rooms.

Just a negative option is for breakfast not much option also out of which you can order only 1 item per person. The breakfast is not unlimited, but looking at view you forget everything.

Stayed here for two nights in September and the property is next to the sea. The rooms are nice and clean, Breakfast was in good quantity and great in taste.
My priority when booking this hotel was a bathtub, but their bathtub was dirty and was not functional.the water stopper was missing for the tub which makes it useless, even after requesting the staff we didn't get solution nor did they change the room.

Beautiful beachfront location. The pool is right in front of the beach with lounge chairs available. They gave us watermelon juice as a welcome drink which was very nice and also let us borrow their scooter to go to the atm. Breakfast by the beach in the morning was definitely a highlight!

I had requested room 202 for its view a month in advance and they promised and failed to provide. That was one of the main reason why i had decided to book this place.
Secondly the room which was provided to me, room 207, had a lot of issues in washroom - broken showers, broken toilet commode, water clogging in wash basin.
The room in itself was good except for washroom. The location is great too!

Oh the view and the beach is fantastic. The room is cute and modern, although the bathroom is only partly updated. Need more towel. We could hear cars passing in front of the hotel and the wave sound at night when the tide is high is quite loud. Can be bothersome if you are a light sleeper. But overall we love the hotel and would come back again.

One of great place to stay in Nusa Penida. The place itself is really at the side of a beach and close to everywhere (ports, gas station, resto, etc).

As it names suggest, you can actually see sunrise here (this is actual reason why we stay here)! The place is comfy and the staff is supernice (thanks to mr. Alit the place feels like home). They have glider, beach chair and balcony, and resto.

The room is great for the price (I hope they can add more lights). The breakfast itself is a short order cook meal and the option is limited. And the juices is really fresh.

Overall, really satisfied staying here.

Really nice view with decent price. One less star for limited food options. Must try fresh dragon fruit juice. Also, you can visit Secret Penida restaurant for lunch/dinner. Really good options there.

Serius ini tempatnya amazing parah! Ngga main2. Lokasinya pas di bibir pantai, lengkap dg swimming pool dengan background birunya laut & megahnya gunung agung. Suasananya nyaman, homy & bikin betah. Recommended bagi kalian yg punya rencana untuk bermalam di Nusa Penida.

Excellent location, about 10 minutes drive from harbours who serve Padang-Bai and Sanur. You can request for pickup and drop services, it's not expensive comparing to the competition.
The hotel has an excellent sea view with a background of Mount Agung.
Floating breakfast is on request. To try absolutely!

Absolutely perfect location right on the shore front, offering both sunrise and sunset views from the pool area in Winter.

The room was clean and tidy, the only complaint was a bit of a lack of lighting at night.

The staff were extremely helpful and gracious whenever we needed assistance.

Stepping into the property, we were immediately amazed by the view that this hotel offered. The swimming pool, sun lounger deck, and restaurant are all facing the ocean and Mount Agung which look truly magical.

However, when we entered the room, the feeling was quite worn off. The room was really dark and it was difficult to find things at night due to the lack of lighting.

The interior, especially the bathroom's bathtub and sink was worn out. The water from the sink and shower was salty, making it a bit uncomfortable when taking shower and brushing our teeth.

An unpleasant incident happened on our last night staying at the hotel. Our aunt was taking photos on the deck and she fell rolling 2 meters down the slippery rock wall into the water. Thankfully, one of the staff ran and held her while waiting for help (which we hardly found at the property until we ran to the establishment next door, Secret Penida).

We understand that it was an accident, but it could've been prevented if only the hotel had more safety features. Even the stairs that lead to the sea was slippery, costing my husband and his sister - who are still in their 30's - some bruises when trying to climb down and back up.

The bonus star was given because of the staff who were all friendly and attentive, and we would like to thank the two men who were very helpful in assisting my aunt on 23 May 2022.

A nice sea-side bungalows, perfect location for sunrise.the staffs are very polite and helpful.
