Sangeh Monkey Forest

Sangeh monkey forest is one of my favorite places to work as a government veterinarian. I really enjoy this job because it matches my passion. Here I can observe the behavior of monkeys and their interactions with the environment, other animals and humans.

A must visit in Bali, where you can take spectacular photos with these animals, feed them but not touch them. I recommend not bringing anything that the monkeys can take from you without warning (sunglasses, hats.etc), although they are not that aggressive.

Great place less touristy than the monkey forest of Ubud. Accompanied by a site guide it's perfect because the monkeys want to climb on your shoulder for the photo and the guide's little cake.very beautiful temple, quiet places.

Magnificent temple with 10 hectare forest with 700 very friendly monkeys. People accustom them to come towards humans in exchange for peanuts to take your photo and offer you a print at the end.
It will be easy for you to take a photo with the monkeys. Do not touch them, let them come to you because their reaction is unpredictable.
Hide caps, glasses, jewelry and close your bags tightly.

The park is very nice, what we didn't like was that a photographer always accompanies you and a monkey came up to us and the photographer showed him a slingshot and the monkey didn't know where to go. From what we saw we believe that they hit them with the slingshot or that is our opinion.

The animals were relaxed and a park ranger comes with you for safety if you want.

Don’t go here. The staff forces the monkeys to get on you in order to take a picture. It shouldn’t happen that monkeys climb on your shoulders because they receive food.

As a consequence, my wife got a small scratch for which she needed a vaccine. But things could have been worse.

I would recommend this but be careful cos some of the monkeys are aggressive and always stay with your guide and follow what he says…

One of my favorite places in Bali! It’s a bit outside Ubud but very quiet and not crowded at all. The staff is very kind and will walk with you to take photos of the monkeys and feed them. The monkeys are friendly and keep their space. The entire place is quiet and peaceful.

So much fun! Incredible close up experience with the monkeys. It also is an opportunity of feeding them as they are all over you

The monkey forest is beautiful, especially near the entrance to the temple and the temple. The baby monkeys are super cute. I think it was about 15 minutes away from Ubud. Not super crowded which was a plus. You need anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour.

Tempat wisata jika ingin berfoto dengan kera. Bawa makanan kecil sebagai umpan jika ingin berfoto dengan kera agar kera mau berinteraksi dengan pengunjung

Tempat wisata yg adem karena banyak pepohonan rindang, juga kita bisa main bareng dengan monyet liar yg jinak dan lucu-lucu yg bisa kita kasih makan

The place is cool, lots of monkeys, of course the entry ticket is cheap only Rp. 10.000 (Rupiah). Souvenirs and various food stores are available, beside that there is a holy water, and is also often used for Prewedding photos.

Beautiful Temple at entrance. 15K/pp very small "walk" but the locals are friendly ans give you peanuts for photos with monkey. I appreciated way more, compared to the crowded touritic one in central ubud way too expensive but good to walk around.

Despite my fear of monkeys hence the lack of interaction, the view turned out really breathtaking. The air was also incredibly clean, the ticket wasn't pricey, and the guides were also super friendly and helpful!
