Rob Peetoom Hair Spa

I visited the Ubud salon and was blown away, finally a proper hair salon! I had wash blow dry and iron style and I have super thick hair. They did a incredible job and I love it so much! I had Ipank as my stylist and would highly reccomend!

I booked Single Process Root Touch-up and added the Long/Thick Color Surcharge as I have blonde hair and sometimes it needs a little more attention or a toner because of that.

The booking system said price with tax is 986 thousand IDR. When I got there the assistant came to me with a calculator and announced the price is 1.2 million IDR and with taxes that would be over 1.4 million IDR. That did not include cutting of ends or a proper blow dry (which I opted out of, because my hair will suffer of the sun still for the next 2 weeks). I was charged for Double Process Platinum Blonde (they only had to bleach once) for short hair but I can’t even find a price list on their website. Also the building I was taken to was on the street, not the beautiful bungalow type building they have on their website.

The people were polite and nice and I got what I wanted, but I can’t help but feeling scammed. Note to self: if you can’t find a price list online, don’t go. Total in euros was 85€ which is quite near to European prices. My t-shirt also has bleach marks now in the back: (

Dario is the amazing hair stylist. I had a full head highlights and a haircut. It was phenomenal. Really happy with the result and full experience in this salon. Highly recommended

I was in the salon for a haircut. I highly recommend Master Muli. An incredibly nice girl and an excellent hairstylist who helped me choose the perfect hairstyle and gave me an amazing head massage while washing my hair! Highly recommend!

Now I will tell you about my worst hair cutting experience. Let me start with the fact that when booking on the website there was no option to choose a haircut for a woman! They only had a choice of “gentlemen’s haircut” and I chose this option BECAUSE THERE WAS NO OTHER ONE. I chose the master Ryan, when choosing him there was no mention that he was a barber or anything like that, because the other stylist had a mention that he was a men's barber.in fact, when I arrived, they told me that this was a haircut for 400k for men, they had no idea that my hair was quite short (I will attach a photo below for clarity), so on the spot they calculated me 696k with all taxes. ……. Ok, okay, I decided to take a risk, and what can I tell you? Don't take the same risks as me next time. All my femininity was simply taken away from me, I look, my face looks like a stump, the shape of my face is emphasized very unattractively, all my features look masculine, if you cover your face with your hands, you can’t tell me apart from a boy, although even without this I look like him. Master Ryan is unprofessional at all.if it’s result from top stylist what the skills from the’re beginners? I’ll show the Ryan my haircut before and reference for this haircut.he said “okay, we'll make as in reference, because it's more volume” just look at the result … please. I don't know how I'll look at the mirror until my hair will grow I said him in the process “could do you make it short as possible” I DIDNT MEAN MAKE ME MAN HAIRCUT! Just short as it’s suit for me! Not just short! Also, on my previous haircut, and on the reference for it, the parting was always not symmetrical, he cut my hair and made it symmetrical.the temple area is terrible, the haircut itself is uneven.this stylist doesn’t know how to work in 3D, he doesn’t understand what suits a person and what doesn’t.he doesn’t know how to emphasize the client’s advantages, face shape, eyebrows, etc. All my advantages (rectangular face shape, miniature face size, shape of eyebrows, nose) all of this turned in an instant into one big drawback.yes, I said at the end of the haircut that it was nice, the hairdresser asked me “do you like it? ” look how cool, so fresh” I was so embarrassed that for this amount a person ruined my image for me, that I agreed with him, but didn’t say another word.

Nowhere else in Bali I’d trust with my hair! Super talented stylists for cuts & color, plus dreamy conditioning and beauty treatments. A must try in Ubud!

Such a beautiful salon, overlooking the jungle in Ubud. The quality of service, knowledge and products are the best in Bali. Dario and his team are super friendly and ensure to explain every part of the process. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my hair on the island!

Dario is an amazing hairstylist and one of the very view I truly trust with my hair. He's very patient and always makes sure I feel comfortable with every single step. When it comes to coloring (balayage) he's a total genius and I couldn't be happier with the results. Highly recommended.

A must try if you want to taste one of a kind Bali experiences. The manicure pedicure looking into a paddy field (Petitenget) or a stunning view (Ubud).

For a trendy haircut, ask for Dario! He’s normally in Ubud and never fails to let you out of the salon feeling stylish and with a big smile on your face

My favorite hair spa! I come here every time I come to Bali! Dario always does excellent work with coloring and blow drys for my hair. Definitely would recommend coming in at least once to pamper yourself … you won’t regret it

I was not excited to trek out to Ubud to see Dario, but it was absolutely worth it to pay worship to The Hair God of Bali (and my heart)! I’ve been raving on about Dario to anyone who would listen since I first met him a couple years ago.

I kid you not, I have been so reluctant to trust anyone else with my hair since I met Dario. A couple of ‘good’ haircuts and 3 bad balayages later…. I’m so happy to be back at Rob Peetom!

The cut, colour, service, ambience and Jakarta blow out (by Eka) was just perfect! Weeks later and I am enjoying the enjoying how effortless it is to style my hair!

Sorry I have to give two stars as I was charged larger amount than what I booked for my appointment and no one comunicate to me earlier about the price change. On the booking system the price was Rp. 1,800,000.00 but after the service they charged me around more than 3,000,000.00 and reduced to around Rp 2,552,000.00 after my complain. The same thing happened to the lady next to me. The salon management need to change this practice and need to disclose the exact price to customers.

Please always double check the price at the salon again when you arrive. It’s seems like a normal practice here which is quite unacceptable.

However, my hairstylist Marlene did really great job with my hair and I love the result so she deserve 5 stars if I could rate it separately.

I have visited Rob Peetoom multiple times this year, and especially enjoy 1/ cutting & colouring my hair with Dario - he’s an artist and always creates the best results for my hair; and 2/ hair spa with April - she gives the best head & face massages, and the entire spa process is very indulgent. Can’t recommend the salon enough!

Came here for the first time to have Dario fix a hair colour I got in a supposedly prestigious salon in Malaysia! I’ve always loved purple and have gotten my purple hair in several salons in Malaysia and Singapore but always have had issues, it either take 6-7 hours or they can never nail the purple right, which requires me double the visit to the same salon!: (

Not only did Dario nail the exact colour I wanted in the first try, he took half the time needed to get my whole head coloured! (I.e < 2 hours).

Pricing was also comparable with what I have expended (or typically expend) in Malaysia and Singapore. I’m definitely making a trip to Ubud every year now for all my hair colouring needs!
