Peaceful low key property with kind hosts and beautiful views.
I came to Bali for 1 month for a yoga certification and we stayed on this property, did yoga at their yoga shala and ate food here every day.
Pros:
1. Good food. Because of our training, we had breakfast, lunch and dinner here.good variety and taste.
2. This is a FAMILY owned and operated property. Adi and her family live on site and are available 24/7 for your needs. We had a yoga member have a health condition during our stay, and Adi arranged everything for us to get to hospital, where to go and what to do. Hardworking kind family.
3. They clean every day. Every day we had our bed made (sheets washed whenever requested too), floors swept and mopped, and bathroom cleaned. I saw them clean and filter pool every morning too.
4. The price! Very reasonable price, especially for long term.
5. The animals! They have the sweetest dog and kitten family on property. Don’t worry if you aren’t an animal person, they don’t bother you at all. But if you are, you can play with them all day. For a whole month I really missed my dog back at home, so I was so grateful for this experience.
6. Laundry options! Very cheap to do laundry, they wash and fold for you, and there is a hand wash option too
7. Yoga shala! Two beautiful yoga shalas available for your own practice and they also offer yoga classes. Surrounded by the jungle, it is so peaceful.
8. Quiet! It’s very quiet and low key here. Not a lot of traffic or noise. Perfect for your peace.
9. Good WiFi and signal. This was an essential while I needed to work remote.
Cons
1. It is not the MOST updated. But honestly I think that is reflected in the price.
All of the people writing bad reviews must have expected some kind of 5 star hotel. If you are looking for a 5 star hotel experience, then go book something $200+/night.
But if you are looking for a safe, peaceful, traditional Balinese experience, then stay here at Puri Suksma
I rented a guest house for a month, the photos do not correspond to the current state, everything is the same as in the photo, only it was killed and will soon collapse The hostess does not pay attention to requests, cleaning is done once a week if you remind her, you can order food, she cooks deliciously, but she often didn’t cook because holidays with them, she promised to reimburse me and cook twice as much next time, and this happened a couple of times (I paid in advance for a month) in the end, when I asked for two breakfasts, she refused, said that she didn’t remember this, the screenshot of our messages didn’t tell her anything said. You can cook in the kitchen yourself, but you have to pay for it and it doesn’t allow you to use good water
The pool is almost always dirty, the sun loungers are half-rotted near the kitchen) in general, the impression was that they didn’t want to invest, and the price tag was left the same as it was) in general, you can live
We rented a room in this Guest House for a month and really regretted it. The room upon arrival was very dirty. We washed it ourselves. The curtains were torn, the bed linen and towels were gray, the sink was very dirty, the walls were peeling, and the white furniture was covered in red paint. We scrubbed the paint, cleaned the sink, and washed the floor ourselves. They promised to paint the shabby walls, but they never did. Cleaning and change of towels in this Guest House once a week. A roll of toilet paper is also provided for the week. It is absolutely not worth the money they charge for accommodation. In addition to all this, there is construction going on next to the fence. From 8-00 in the morning the jackhammer starts working and the noise continues all day long. Rubbish from this construction site flies into the pool, which no one cleans either. The owner, Krishna, does not want to resolve any issues. We tried to discuss and correct some points, but we realized that all the promises would remain in words. Therefore, we are looking for new housing and will try to leave here as quickly as possible.
The photo does not correspond to reality. The rooms are destroyed. Everything falls off. The shelves are broken, the shower is leaking. Cleaning once a week, gray towels, dirty pool. Nobody is swimming. There are no sun loungers, no lighting. They don't respond to requests, the place is a bit dying, the price is too high. Terrible road to the guest house.
I don’t recommend this place, this is the first time I’ve encountered such an attitude here.
We lived here for over two months and were satisfied. The owners are very nice, good people. The area is spacious and clean. There is a large swimming pool which is cleaned every day. The rooms themselves are small but cozy. A huge plus is that you can order food from the owners, it is very profitable and very tasty. I recommend to everyone. If we are in Bali again, we will definitely stay there.
Their motto is “if you don’t like it you can leave. ” And so I did cao unless if you are into sleeping with cockroaches on the bed and broken shower drainage with pungent smells then you can stay. Why is this place still in business? Apparently there is no such thing as health standard policy on hotels in indonesia. But then again they are in the lodging business. Hard to tell.
