Pure Dive Resort, Nusa Penida

I finished my open water diving certification with pure dive resort recently and my experience was nothing short of amazing. My instructor Romy Septiahadi was patient, helpful, calm and encouraging which helped tremendously. His focus on safety during my training really helped me understand diving from all aspects. The dive shop itself is well organised and had clear briefings to make sure each and every dive is comfortable and a good experience. Overall I would highly recommend pure dive resort in nusa penida, whether you want to get the certification or want to experience diving in the area.

We had an incredible experience. We were nervous because it was our first dive after completing the open water, but our guide made us feel very calm and safe! We saw a blanket

I have finally fulfilled my dream to saw the manta rays with my own eyes.
Did 2 dives with Pure Dive Resort, and both of them are amazing dive.
Baron was my dive guide, he explained everything from A-Z very detail and clear.
Also had a chit-chat with Sandra, Intan, Abdul and everyone in the dive center was super friendly.

Will definitely come back again to have more amazing dive trip with them, as they said north-east coast has way better coral reefs and more stuff to see.

We have loved doing a dive with them, if we had more time we would repeat for sure! All the most tedious part of scuba diving becomes much easier and more agile, they take the equipment directly to the boat and prepare it for you before boarding it, at the end of the dive they take care of taking it back to land. The girl who guided us was a 10, super attentive and quick to cover the possible needs that arise during the dive. 5 Stars well deserved.

I cannot say enough good things about this dive center. As an avid diver and dive instructor, this is hands down the best dive center I've ever been to. The diving is incredible (manta, shark, eel, incredible healthy reef and tons of fish) but aside from that, the service is incredible. Pure Dive took car of our ENTIRE transfer from Bali and back again- they had arranged a car to pick us up from basically from wherever we decided to stay the night before (with some exceptions; we happened to be staying in Ubud), they had our boat tickets ready with our names, and then someone ready with a car in Nusa Penida right when we arrived to take us to the resort they put us up in which was a 2 minute walk to the dive shop. The resort was nice, nice pool, room average, but the breakfast was included the next day which was great. Then at the dive shop, we barely had to lift a finger. Aside from trying on a 5mm wetsuit (the water is cold, be warned), EVERYTHING was ready and set up on the boat. The dive brief was great, the groups small, they PUT ON MY FINS for me AND took them off while in the water to get back in the boat, changed our tanks, to everything apart and off the boat after the dives. Between dives they offered us clean and dry sarongs to stay warm. I have never been offered any sort of towel between dives and I always get so cold. That was awesome. Next, I thought the "lunch" was just the snack in between dives, but no. Not only were there cookies, fruit, tea and coffee between dives, they took our lunch order off a menu before we went diving and had it ready at a local Balinese warung across the street from the dive shop when we got back. ALL OF THIS WAS INCLUDED!

So let's review- for ~$500 (USD), we had a car transfer us to the boat from Ubud, the boat ride to the island, the car transfer to the resort, the 2- night stay at a nearby resort with breakfast (that was delicious btw), 4 dives (across 2 days), diving with a clean towel to stay warm and a snack, and lunch both days, and the car, boat and another car to take you back to wherever you need to go in main Bali (we were brought to our next hotel near the Denpasar airport). I really can't believe it.still. We saw tons of mantas and the most beautiful coral I think I've ever seen, and I have dove in a bunch of places including Malaysia, Tobago, Barbados, Costa Rica and have seen some great coral.

If you are doing what I was doing searching tons of reviews for the best dive resort, I PROMISE this one is top notch and you can book with confidence you will LOVE IT.

Well run dive company, everything was well organised, staff were experienced and friendly. They have a good range of services including offering 15 litre tanks which I haven't found elsewhere. The manta diving was amazing the day we went and the other dives were brilliant too. Would definitely go again.

The dive shop made an absolutely amazing 3 days of fun diving even more spectacular by providing unforgettable experiences. The staff went above and beyond and taught us so much. We made friendships for life, skills never learned before, and memories that we will never forget. They took photos with no expectation of paying for them. I will return to dive with Pure Divers anytime I am in Nusa Penida or area, and would highly recommend for any new divers as their patience and care and willingness to share skills and tips are unlike anywhere else.

I have just completed my specialty dive (deep, nitrox, buoyancy, drift) courses with Pure Dive Resort & I’ve had the most incredible experience. Their instructors (plus boat & admin staff) are all so very professional & passionate about teaching - especially a very big special thank you to Taufiqur! As a solo female traveller & diver, safety is paramount to me, & Pure Dive ticks all the boxes & even goes beyond! Amazing experience as always. I finally was able to come back after pandemic time to Penida. Pure Dive Resort never stop surprising. Top notch equipment, amazing professional crew, focused to deliver safe, comfort and fun experience. I had to do a scuba skills update, as I was not diving for a while and I am 74 yo, so went through very clear and detailed theory overview before to jump into the pool to complete confined session. Next day we went to the eastern reef of Penida and I felt confident enjoying the beautiful reef and its inhabitants. We had the BEST experience doing our open water course at Pure! Our instructor Sandra was incredible and so patient with me (i was particularly nervous) and I never felt rushed. She was always there for support and I always felt safe in the water. It was an incredible experience and we saw so many turtles and manta rays doing our dives! The best part of my experience is that they mind level of Divers and so over 9 dives, I didn't stay once under 60 minutes in the water, which is definitely enjoyable! Especially when you follow a manta

Special greeting to Intan, my dive instructor for 7 dives over 9, whom I had a really nice feeling with, underwater, she is the best for finding scorpion fish and octopus hiding all arround. But on the boat she also is a positive person, good energy, and nice to being with her over all!
And yes the service is really provided, you don't carry anything, they take care of everything, we could get used to that.

The team of professionals you can fully trust. Everything was great from organization to the dive.
The team speaks several languages, which is very helpful if you’re going for the first time. We dived for the first time, we’re trained in the pool, given so much valuable information about diving and safety which I didn’t know, the instructor Dennis is excellent, he’s real expert, all trip he looked after us, so we could be sure in our safety and enjoy the process. Now I want to keep diving.

The whole experience with pure dive was so magical. They were very responsive and professional. The entire team is so welcoming. I absolutely did not feel like you were speaking to them for the first time when you arrive there. Special shout out to Alex and Choki for making both the theory session and the dives fun filled. I personally see myself coming back here in the future. Bottom line is I would give them more stars given the opportunity.

It has been simply amazing! I can not only recommend, but really hope for people that they have the chance of getting to learn and experience the beauty of free diving. Therefore Pure Dive Resort is a great, great place to go. Besides the knowledge they have about free diving, the ocean, and the spot, they really share this experience of free diving in a really authentic way. Plus you get to dive on the line as well as dive in a wonderful coral riff. I truly loved it and am more than grateful for the experience and what I learned - hopefully coming back one day!
