The temple was built in honor of the water goddess Devi Danu. The temple complex is very beautiful and photogenic and enjoys an excellent view of the lake.
The temples are very uncrowded, you can go around very calmly. 5 minutes away there is also the View Point of Mount Batur.
Unfortunately there are also cons.it is essential to bring a sarong as they will fleece you if you want to rent one and often try to force you to take a guide at absurd prices.

Ulun danu batur temple is located at batur lake area kintamani, there is also another ulun danu temple at beratan so dont get cobfused

When we were there, the view is amazing, not as crowd as its cousin in beratan.you need to wear a sarong to enter there and the officer is really kind and friendly

the view of abang mountain, batur mountain and lake batur is great, and you can take the picture everywhere as long as you like no need to wait for spots

You definitely need to visit this place to see the beautiful view and complete your itunerary of exploring kintamani

The temple is not worth it, and you can get a better view of Batur from the penelokan view.

We visited today during the start of the Full Moon Ceremony, and the temple was very festive. The roads were jam-packed. I personally loved the weather and the temple architecture, as well as the praying rituals.

You can pay for the tickets over the counter, which is 30k per pax. The ladies would lead you to buy sarong but just tell them you want to rent instead.

If you have a tight schedule, I would 110% suggest visiting just Tirta Empul. Even our driver avoided entering this Pura with us and was more enthusiastic about Tirta Empul.

Our experience was ruined by a lady who insisted that we couldn't enter the temple without a guide, even when we told her we wanted to walk around ourselves. The "guide" did not explain anything abt the temple and merely brought us to a point behind the temple with a view of Mt. Batur. She also rushed us through the temple, which was irritating.

Despite claiming that "saya tak mintak wang" (I do not ask for money) at the beginning, she pestered us at the end until we paid the tour guide fee. It was very scammy. We would have willingly paid had it been a proper tour.

I was there this morning and it was a great experience. It takes Rp 35.000 for entry (+ you'll get free drinks) but you have to rent for sarong which is scammed by the local women. You have to be brave to bargain the price, they offered Rp 50.000 for one sarong but finally I made it to Rp 100.000 for 4 sarongs. The place isn't well-organized but the view of Mt. Agung and Mt. Batur was amazing!

I was ok to paid 35k for the temple entrance, but the price is higher then other major temples cross Bali, then a lady focused me to buy a sarong I told her I got mine sarong, then she focused me to rent a Balinese male headband thing otherwise can't go in to the temple, really feel ripped off

Tempatnya mudah dilihat dari jalan utama banyak dikunjungi umat dan wisatawan, ukiran khas Bali menghiasi semua sisi area pura, terletak di ketinggian dengan hawanya yang sejuk.

Only go if you have many days in Bali and bring your own sarong, otherwise Besakih temple is better. I’m afraid the local ladies will still bug you on your way in so just be persistent about not renting a sarong that costs IDR 50.000 each. There’s another entrance at the small street on the right side of the temple where you can go into a family temple and see the lake view with 3 mountains in the background (Batur, the mountain next to it, and Agung)

Beautiful temple but bad scammers. Don't go! Entrance fee is Rup 35k, but rental of sarong is rup50k. Too bad！

Stay away. We believed that in a temple we would meet friendly people displaying their religion, but instead we were met by pushy salesmen and women that ruined the entire experience. No peace and serenity in this place.

From outside temple looking gud! They will ask to pay around 35k as entry fee and for sorong they ask as to pay another 50k! My advice is look at temple from outside inside nothing as much wat u expect! Lots of person will roam around u be careful!

I'm just arrived at parking lot and googling information about this place, then suddenly local people force me to pay for ticket and not worth to visit.

I need to comeback again here. I miss this exotic temple. This a must to see for travellers. Location is in the upland of bedugul, tabanan bali. The borders between north and south of bali. The weather normallybare bit cold.
