Pura Mengening

Money-grabbing be careful! I visited this place as there were a lot of positive reviews. Paid the entrance that comes with free sarong. I met a guy on my way down to the springs, asked me where I was from and said it would be 100k idr to do the purification. Never heard this before. I met some tourists that are leaving the place and they looked happy, they said they will explain what to do and said they just gave a donation. The same guy followed me around and was taking me to pay another 1,000 idr for another sarong. I did not want to pay and just stood there watching the people. Another guy approached me as the initial guy was leaving talking to him and kept saying 'Canada'. I hated the entire thing, how beautiful spots can get touristy, how my country is a factor for the experience, and on top of it all, in a holy place. Be warned and be vigilant when you visit. Do not pay anything more than the entrance, again you can give donation.

This used to be a beautiful, tranquil place with a soothing vibe.
Now you pay @30k ticket, +sarong, +second sarong for the pool, +locker, +blessing, +the guy who chaperoned us down the temple and then asked 50k for 30min of walking us and we are already in for 100k+. Then there's the entrance/exit, where you get mobbed by persistent entitled ladies who get vocally upset when you don't buy their clutter. As we were leaving saying we'd already spent all our cash one shouted "WHY ONLY SMALL CASH BRING? ! "
What was once a beautiful temple has become a money-grabbing tourist trap. This was my last visit here, I'll look for a more peaceful temple

We loved the temple. We were able to do the purification practically alone. There are practically no tourists.

Interesting place for the water ceremony, unfortunately some locals seemed more interested in promoting their coffee business than anything else and it was a bit overwhelming.

Nice place if you want to experience the purification ceremony.
Not many tourists and still a certain authenticity.
A guide will welcome you at the entrance and will explain all the steps you will take.
The sarang is provided with the entry ticket, then a small contribution is expected for the sarang with which you will go into the water and if you want a locker for your belongings.

We arrived around 3pm and we were lucky not to encounter tourists. You do not need to buy the ticket in advance.

Nature is another story! And there is a beautiful fish lake, with massive fish.and the way that the ruines of the temple huges nature is outstanding

Pura nya sangat asri, suasananya sejuk. Ada pemandu yg nanti mengarahkan kmna kita smbhyang lbh dulu.

Wonderful place full of Shiva Shakti energy. Tirtha natural spring water pools used for purification and healing. Only go there with a Balinese guide following the protocols of this sacred place.

Melukat disini paling bagus, hanya kurang tertata di tempat ganti baju dan tempat penitipan barang.

Merasa terkoneksi lebih dalam dengan tempat ini dibandingkan tempat serupa lainnya dari pertama kali datang.
Apalagi kalau untuk mebayuh perlu banyak air klebutan. Menurut info penjaga air klebutan disini ada 10. Dialirkan melalui 35 pancuran yang bisa dipergunakan kalau kita mau nglungsur, ada 1 diatas yang tidak boleh.banyak bertanya pada pnduduk stempat dan minta ijin karena mereka sangat ramah dan helpfully.

Zero tourists, only locals taking bath and brushing their teeth Everyone was very friendly and welcomed me to enjoy the bath and swim with them. 10k donation required for renting the sarong.

Very calm and beautiful place where you can spend some time without big crowds of tourists and swim in the holy water (which is used in hindu rituals)

In term of facilities, not as huge Tirta Empul, but still love the experience, more natural, more spiritual, you know what I mean.

Because less tourist, but still beautiful. Near Pura Tirta Empul, so you can visit this place after or before visit Tirta Empul. Amazing tranquility especially when there are less tourist with you.

You may take a “holy bath” here with the natural resource water at pools builds by nature and limited men modified works

Very close to another more popular temple but this one is more magnificent to me. Set in a valley with miss covered stones, there is more nature than concrete so the power of nature rings stronger than in more man-made places. Lots of locals bathing here but it is a nice walk to take in the views and admire the combination of natural rocks together with the man-made temple structures.

Its a lovely place and this is local temple, which attracts not much tourism.here you can truly feel and wash out ur soul with holy bath.
