Pondok Sebatu Villa

All in all it was an excellent experience.
A welcome drink was prepared at the entrance. Everything about the hotel and everything we need was explained one by one.
The view was perfect. We stayed in the standard room, it was clean. It was cleaned every day. The public pool was perfect. All employees were very caring and helpful. He immediately met our every need. There is a free shuttle to Ubu once a day. The restaurant was quite nice. They even prepared a breakfast box for us as we were going to check out early. It was an excellent experience against the rice fields.

An enchanting escape! Our stay at this hotel was a dream come true. The room was perfect, the rice field views were breathtaking, and our private pool and bathtub were pure indulgence. The food was divine, and the inclusive breakfasts were a treat. Their reasonably priced taxi service made exploring the area a breeze. From nearby Ubud to the stunning waterfall and coffee farm, there’s so much to see. But what truly sets this place apart is the staff – they’re simply extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, their hospitality was exceptional. The pick-up and drop-off service to Ubud was a thoughtful touch, and the restaurant’s food was impeccable. Room service was reliable, making our stay even more convenient. We wholeheartedly recommend this haven, especially for lovebirds seeking a romantic getaway:).

Advantages
1. The staff are very friendly. Let’s bring food, excluding breakfast, to your room. Towels are also provided right away. They also help with carrying luggage. I wasn't good at English, but he kindly explained it to me. They also brought extra mosquito repellent so I didn't have to worry about bugs.
2. The water is very clean. I took the filter shower and it wasn't contaminated at all. The pool water is also clean.
3. The view is very good. It was a quiet and secluded private 2-bed pool villa, close to the restaurant, close to the lobby, and had a nice view.
4. The food is delicious. The mie goreng is a bit salty, but overall the food tastes average.

disadvantage
1. The distance is very far from downtown Ubud. It takes about 50 minutes by car to downtown Ubud. It is 15 minutes away from Tralgang River and 30 minutes away from Mount Batur, so it may be a good choice for those who enjoy natural scenery or trekking outside of Ubud city.
2. Locational limitations. You have to go down a huge hill to get into the hotel. It's an uphill road when you come up.
There is nothing to do around. There is a spa, laundry, and restaurant nearby. If you are experiencing a private spa for the first time as it is located in a home-like place, it may be perplexing. Laundry is very kind.
3. Hotel spas are not worth the price.
4. Warm water does not come out of the sink. So, when you just want to wash your face or brush your teeth, you can't do so with warm water.

Absolutely avoid! Although the staff is very nice, the places are not clean at all. Dirty sheets that smell musty, mold in the shower, uncomfortable bed and so on. In addition, very far from the center of Ubud but close to the rice fields and isolated from the world. Clearly not worth the price.

And I was shocked by how small our room was and the pool was small. I don't know if the stone we put at the bottom of the pool is like this, or is it dirty?
The staff is respectful and helpful. They have a laundry service for a nominal fee per kilo of clothes
The location of the resort is far from Ubud shui
I was disturbed by the sound of insects and frogs at night by the pool. I could not sleep and a lizard entered the room.

Great stay but definitely not thrilled about it. Swimming pool is ice cold due to natural water. The rooms smell musty and the blankets are clammy. Furthermore, you only have 6 choices of breakfast and it is not very tasty.

This is one of the best Hotel in ubud bali, This hotel is good for people who want to stay with nature, good for healing, and rest our mind. The sound of nature and animal is really good. The staff the food is not bad, delicious.

Very pleasant and warm welcome, like everywhere in Bali!

The place is very cute, well maintained, the view is beautiful.

The reception is always very available if necessary, can provide you with a driver for the day (count about 400 to 500k).

Only downside, relatively cold swimming pool and therefore we hardly took advantage of it.

The cleaning is very well done, every morning.

We stayed 2 nights here and really enjoyed everything in this Villa, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, view, massage services. Highly recommended.

Beautiful resort with private pool. Clean n neat rooms. Had a very pleasant stay. Staffs r very friendly n helpful. Had yummy breakfast. Nature lovers would definitely love this place. Only con is it is located quite far from the main city.

The property is over hyped! Too far from ubud market ie. Almost 45 mins away and trust me the approach road is too lonely as property is not easily accessible.

Coming to rooms and facilities - AVOID DURING RAINS.else all you ll see is algae around the bathroom, pool eveywhere. Lizards in the room, broken bathroom top so during rains, the water will actually drip in your bathroom. No wonder they are hit due to covid and tried to maintain cleanliness but still they need to work on it.

Major issue was breakfast, in my 20 years of travel experience, i have never come across a set breakfast menu option which includes only 3 items- 1 burrito, 2 slices of watermelon, 2 slices of pineapple and 3 tablespoon milk with little tea or coffee.
We paid extra for breakfast but it felt as if they have given complimentary BF with such limited options.

Management really needs to work on this concept!

Overall staff was helpful as all the concerns were addressed by them!

Our experience in Pondok Sebatu Villa was awesome.
We have got 2 bedroom villa for 2 couples, the rooms are made of wood and it was nicely managed and clean.
Toilets are clean and bathtub & shower was also there in the villa.
And clean private swimming pool outside room.
Apart from that they have made separate area for villas.
Below pool you can see below the greenary.
Vegetarian Food was also fine not that good but eatable.
We had a candle light dinner and villa staffs have made great arrangements for the same.
A must visit stay for couples.

This place is simply stunning, wish I had stayed longer, hosts have got a great eye for detail and knowledge of the surrounding. Ask about the local fishing lake.

Very Nice rice terraces view. Rooms are ok, very pleasant team, nice breakfast.
Some rooms with extremely nice infinite pools.
You can also go for a walk to terraces and skip visiting overcrowded Tegallang.

Highly recommend visiting Pura Gunung temple during the week. Very relaxed place and within walking distance through terraces.

Great for nature lovers

Beyond what we expected. It was just beautiful. Staying in a quiet hotel with really good food and service and overlooking the rice fields.

One of the best places I have stayed. Very peaceful with your own pool. We took walks in the nearby rice fields. Good restaurant.

I love this place. They have amazing and beautiful view. Such a comfortable place to stay. Very recommended for nature lover.

If you’re a nature lover, then this is the place. Hotel staff are wonderful. Facilities are limited, only a single restaurant and not far from ubud but they have daily shuttles. Also if you are a senior who can’t walk much like my mother, this would be a difficult hotel for you as there are many steps.
