We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel and enjoyed the pulled beef burger. We ended up with severe food poisoning and question the food standards of this restaurant after reading the many food poisoning reviews

This is hard to type as a food loving Aussie, but I just ate the best bit of barramundi of my life!

My wife’s colleague recommended M. Mason Bar and Grill and boy are we glad he did. We took along a pretty tired almost four year old after a morning of trampoline fun so we knew our time was limited. Inside an hour we were served up five amazing starters, two mains and a couple of sides along with the mandatory couple of Bintang.

The salted cod croquettes and mortadella were my son’s favourite. My wife absolutely raved about her burger, the octopus carpaccio was brilliant but the barra put every other dish to shame.

Absolutely get yourself over there and have an amazing meal. Won’t be your cheapest in Bali but we’ll worth the spend

The service was impeccable. The food was nice but nothing out of the ordinary. It was incredibly overpriced. We had 2 Negronis, 2 bintangs, 4 appetizers - bill total $114 AUS. Ridiculous. Negronis were so watered down they had barely any taste. I thought that was illegal in Bali? Very disappointing as they charge $14 AUS per mixed drink. Food not good enough to entice me back unfortunately.

Great place. Loved the short rib and tuna crudo. Excellent service with friendly staff. Only downside was the tomato’s, they’re on the soft side therefore they don’t have that freshness to them.

One of the best restaurants I've ever eaten at! The eggplant and burrata were to die for. The cocktails were also excellent. I would love to come back here if I'm ever in Canggu.

One of our favourite restaurants in Canggu. The atmosphere is incredible, the food is amazing and they make great drinks. For anyone visiting Bali, Mason is a must for dinner. Highly recommend!

We had dinner here last night and most of the guests ended up vomiting and with diarrhoea the whole night after dinner.

I did not expect it as the restaurant was a recommendation from a close friend and it looks great. However, clearly the most important thing which is hygiene was not given the attention it deserves by the kitchen staff.

Do not recommend this place until they sort this out.

I have never been this unwell before!

The worst in Bali!
Wort and rude service. New hostedoing nothing, literally laughs at your face and saying that she will not help you.

You have to make 3 times the same order and maybe you will get it. And please check the bill it’s not the first time they count glass of wine for the bottle

Don’t eat here unless you would like to go to the hospital.

We were seated 45 minutes late and almost lost our lives being sick from the food.

6 out of 9 in the party who dined there was violently sick the whole night. Everybody said that it was the most sick they have ever been in their lives. IV drips and hospital trips were needed.

We are sorry to hear that members of your dinning party are not well, its a terrible experience. We do pride ourselves on serving only the freshest and best produce whilst carrying out the highest duty of care to our customers.

We have conducted a full in house testing this afternoon and have sold 42 portions from this batch of Snapper Croquettes and 80 portions of the Tuna carpaccio yesterday which is prepared daily. We have not received similar feedback at this stage. Our fish is delivered fresh each day and kept in commercial grade refrigeration set at 3 degrees Celsius. We have also sent food and bar samples for lab testing of any bacteria as per our in house protocol.

We understand that bacteria in Bali is highly prevalent during this wet period, with most common bugs taking up to 48 hours before showing symptoms. There has been huge spike in gastric bugs infecting people in Bali this over the last month as recorded and published by the major hospitals in Bali.

Once again, we are sorry to hear members of your party have fallen ill. We have followed up with vigorous testing with our team and food to ensure that our food safety standard operation procedures were followed.

I had a fantastic experience at Mason restaurant in Canggu and the meatballs were a big part of that! They were absolutely delightful - full of flavor and perfectly executed. I can't wait to come back and have another plateful!

Just exceptional! So very delicious and love that there are lots of small plate options so you can try many different tastes and not get too full! There’s really nothing on the menu you can go wrong with. Love the chill vibe and restaurant layout too

Went there after the rave reviews we saw, but food was very disappointing. Nothing special and pricey.

By far my favorite spot in Bali. To have dinner with my girlfriend or when i invite my friends:)

Tasty wood fired oven food served in a casual setting. The Burrata and the pickled vegetables were really good.

My friend and I had a late lunch here and it was the only place where we ate together that day. Both of us ended up being sick that night. I didn’t get hit as hard but she was projectile vomiting. Not sure if it was the ice or the tomatoes in our salad weren’t properly washed. Cute space and the food but good but be careful.
