Me and my boyfriend came here, neither of us are celiac but wanted to try the gluten free options and they did not disappoint! The best gluten free wraps we’ve ever had and tried a few menu options and they were all superb! If you’re in Ubud you absolutely must try Mara’s Kitchen! (Mara is also an absolute sweetheart and you can literally taste her passion for food!). 10/10!

The best keto treats around town! You can really tell all of the food is made with so much love, it’s all soo delicious! I go there every day when in Ubud. Cannot recommend enough! Try the keto caramel slice, it’s incredible! Lovely to sit upstairs and enjoy a meal and watch the world go by. Thank you Mara and staff for the goodness

I have no allergies or intolerances, however was recommended to come here by a friend a wowww.the broth has so much nourishing essence,
The fish was cooked perfectly with tasty accompanying vegetables,
Creamy chicken was yummy, comforting but not heavy.
The desserts are super delicious but not sickly.

The ingredients are high quality, as are the chefs and the restaurant setting - lots of difference nice places to sit.
And Marra herself is the heart and soul of this place, with so much vibrancy, passion and determination, I can see why her endeavours are so successful.

If you are looking for very tasty food that is different from all the other restaurants in Ubud, then Mara’s Kitchen is the best recommendation you could get. As a bonus, all the food is certified gluten-free non contaminated – the food is so delicious that non-coeliacs would not notice the lack of gluten – and it is the only restaurant of this type in Ubud.

There is a very wide variety of choices from Mediterranean to Ketogenic, Pegan, Paleo and low carb. The menu includes vegetarian plates, ketogenic plates, paleo plates, meat lover, fish lover, pesto pasta, green curry, two plates of tapas, chia plates and also coffees, kombucha and juices.

I had the meat lover chicken breast marinated with coconut, smoked paprika and herbs served on a bed of cauliflower rice, red onion and avocado. So delicious! Also, I had the blueberry and ginger kombucha, so refreshing.

In summary, whether coeliac or not, Mara’s restaurant, which was recently opened in early May 2023, is a hidden gem. Let’s make it a public gem!

I have to write my praise on the food we enjoyed at a private gathering at this cafe. I say private as it hadn't re-opened yet but my friend had a birthday and I had a birthday.small gathering.
The food was to die for. All my friends spent the time ooohing and aaahing as we we had Gustation spread bought before us.

Each dish out performed the last. One of my friends is Celiac so she was in seventh heaven having no problems eating it all. At my birthday my friends even got to take home some of the delicious food.to name some of them
the curry is divine, tastes like no other
the sweet potato tacos - out of this world (please give me the recipe)
the papaya salad with delicious dressing we started with.amazing gluten free spring rolls - I'm drooling. I had to confiscate a couple more before my friends gulped them all down.
But best of all for my birthday, one of my childhood favourites but in keto form, a chocolate and whipped cream layer cake. I too a chunk of that home hahaha.
I couldn't wait to write this review, so guys when it's open, make sure you give it a go. You wont regret it.
They make each item fresh when you order, so allow for that, when you put it in your mouth you will drool also.

I have been waiting for food like this to order home weekly so I am not eating food cooked in the bad bali oil that creates its own health problems. The owner is a fusspot about the quality of her food and you can tell and especially about the quality of the ingredients. This food actually feeds your body healthily, not damages it.
Will be my go to now for as long as possible. Thanks for our special gathering to be the first beta taste testers. We all want more please.
