Mamaras Guest House

Mamaras guest house is a comfortable place to stay, the service is very good, the employees and owner are also friendly.

We chose a room in the main building because we stayed only one night in Nusa Penida and the price was affordable, but slightly higher than other accommodation in the area. However, although the room was relatively clean, the facilities were very low - there was no refrigerator in the room, the sink was outside the bathroom and very small, the water pressure was very weak. Also, there was no actual shower, which is why when you showered it got wet throughout the whole bathroom. Last but not least, the accommodation did not offer a towel for the floor or for the face, but only two large towels.
In terms of breakfast, compared to all the other accommodations where we had breakfast, this one offered the poorest and least tasty breakfast.
However, the location is good, close to the harbor and Crystal Bay. You can also reach Kelingking beach in about 30-40 minutes by scooter.
Although we did not have enough time to take advantage of the pool, we noticed that the garden and the pool are well cared for and the specific nature of the area makes the location a very beautiful one.

Really lovely accommodation on Nusa! The pool is beautiful and the rooms are incredibly tidy and comfy.

Great accommodation, like a little paradise. Value for money is just perfect. We had one of the poolside bungalows, large, comfortable, clean. What more do you want. The pool is a real highlight.you can swim great and it hardly contains chlorine. The hosts are extremely friendly and competent. It really all went smoothly from start to finish. Absolutely recommendable!

The guest house was so beautiful with wood cottage, romantic-look room, romantic-look swimming pool with 2 swings, very good service, in room facilities are good, the staff was really helpful and kind

Lovely guesthouse with a great location for the island! The pool is lovely temperature and clean too. Recommend hiring a scooter or arranging a taxi, as although it is a great location to get around, there isn’t much room on the road for walkers.
Would stay again and definitely recommend

Our time in Mamaras was incredible. We stayed in Bungalow but there are also Standard Rooms available. All pro:
1: very very clean place (and I’m clean freak - I couldn’t find anything in the room that wasn’t)
2: great location - it’s quiet very easy access to the property and by motorbike or car only few minutes to Cristal Bay beach and some nice restaurants (our favorite was Secret Cafe but not far from it there are few other nice small bars/ restaurants directly with the great few, Amok Sunset also nice one with free shuttle service from close around)
3: incredibly helpful and nice owner Ketut - has fulfilled every our wish even later check out (i was feeling a bit unwell)
4: again location on the west side of the island - close to the harbor and ferry service (I don’t know about other parts of the Islands and their home stay)
5: nice very clean swimming pool, if you want any kind of extra service like massage just order by Ketut
6: quite little frogs visiting us ;)
7: all workers super friendly and helpful
8: air con quiet it’s important for me that it wasn’t noisy (important for high sensitive people)
9: wifi was enough
One point - a bit limited breakfast but honestly for the price it’s just enough and hungry people can find some good options just right around the corner or bars close to the shore line (secret cafe). We miss our home stay already. Thank you so much for a great time. I would recommend that place to everyone but especially night sensitive people can feel comfortable there. And last thing Nusa Penida is a mit more expensive (especially transport) than Bali - it’s normal abs fair nothing to be annoyed about. I think also the local tourism need our support especially after Covid, this Island has so much to offer, so many beautiful beaches and Manta Rays - it’s a paradise. It’s worth every penny

Friendly & Helpful Family. Pool Is beautiful. Well Groomed Property and Clean Newer looking Rooms. Water was Hot in my room. AC and WiFi work well in Bungalow #9.
Breakfast, if included in your room plan, is Good & with selection. Location is central to area sites. Amok Sunset, Recommended, will pick you at Hotel

Super clean. Great ac. Close from. Little Market and food. WiFi was okay, not great. Good service. Helped us book taxi and boat back. Def recommended.
