Madu Sari Restaurant

Come for the view not the food. This was a part of our hiking Mt Batur package and I wouldn't eat here on my own. Not sure if it was the preset menu or the food in general is not that great but the service is decent and view of Mt Batur is very nice.

Madu Sari Hotels & Restaurant is located opposite to the view point of Mt. Batur, one of the active volcanoes in Indonesia. The restaurant is a part of the hotel property and offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Our tour operator had organised a tour of the area and lunch at the Madu Sari Hotel & Restaurant was part of the package.

As a vegetarian, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the tour operator had arranged for Jain vegetarian food for me, while my wife was served non-vegetarian Indonesian-style cuisine. The staff at the restaurant had made a sincere effort to cater to my dietary preferences, and I appreciated their efforts.

The buffet spread included a variety of Indonesian dishes such as nasi goreng, satay, and mie goreng. The non-vegetarian dishes were cooked in the Indonesian style, with spices and herbs that were unique to the region. My wife enjoyed the food and appreciated the flavours of the Indonesian cuisine.

The Jain vegetarian food, on the other hand, was not as flavourful as we had expected. The dishes lacked the spices and herbs that are usually used in Indian cuisine. However, we appreciated the effort that had gone into making the food and were happy that the restaurant had tried to cater to our dietary preferences.

The ambience of the restaurant was pleasant, with large windows that offered stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The service was prompt, and the staff was courteous and helpful. The restaurant also had an outdoor seating area that was perfect for enjoying the views and the cool breeze.

In conclusion, the Madu Sari Hotel & Restaurant is a great option for those who are looking to enjoy Indonesian cuisine while enjoying the stunning views of the Mt. Batur. While the Jain vegetarian food could have been better, we appreciated the effort that had gone into making it. The non-vegetarian dishes were a hit with my wife, and we enjoyed the overall experience at the restaurant.

We only stayed "on" the hotel as a view of the volcano. The view is extremely worthwhile, especially when the clouds wind around it, it is a great spectacle.

Hotel with the great view and average food. Hospitality was quite good. During our visit it was raining heavily so we missed the mount batur view. But they still got some great view.

Hotelnya tidak memuaskan sih bagi saya. Pengalaman nginap semalam dengan harga 200an sangat kurang menjanjikan. Dari tidak adanya air mineral dikamar, kamarnya banyak lalat, terus kamar mandinya shower rusak tidak diperbaiki. Selimutnya pun banyak kotoran. Mungkin perlu bebeneh untuk meningkatkan kenyamanan pelanggan.

Cukup kecewa bermalam di sini, hotelnya kurang terawat, ada lampu-lampu kamar yg mati dan ga diganti, tidak disediakan keset dan tissue, air panas ga semua nyala di kamar jd perlu pindah ke kamar lain untuk mandi. Plusnya lokasi dan view dari hotel bagus, bisa parkir depan kamar langsung, ada resto jd pesan makan bisa langsung diantar ke kamar.

Loved the view! Wish I could say the same about the food. Would have preferred more variety in local cuisine.

We stopped by on our way to have dinner. The building is authentic with a great view. We had freshly cooked tasty dishes.

Great views of the mountain and valleys but the food is just the usual buffet, nothing bad but nothing that stands out

Madu Sari Hotel dan Restauran yg berlokasi d jalan raya Pengelolan Kintamani ini sangat representatif. Selain menikmati hidangan, pengunjung juga dimanjakan dengan panorama Gunung Batur dan Danau Batur yang ada di depan restauran. Diseberang jalan tersedia spot untuk berfoto ria. Jadi, yg suka update, jagn lupa untuk abadikan moment. Selamat berwisata.

Restoran ini menyajikan makanan dan minuman dengan view indah gunung di depan mata kita. Sehingga kita bisa menikmati lezatnya makanan dan minuman sekaligus menikmati keindahan alam ciptaan TUHAN YME.

Food is more Indonesian.the one thing I observed with indonesian food it everything is sweet.chicken, fish, potato, capsicum.whatever it might be.they cook it sweet.at the same time people are also sweet.

Serving buffet lunch, was seated in front with unobstructed view of Mt Batur. Unfortunately we got only 5 mins of great view before mother nature (fog) came down and we could not see anything thereafter.
However, super friendly staff, always eager to assist. All food was warm (or hot), the chicken and fish satay was freshly bbq-ed, fresh fruits available (the guava was awesome!). Had bits of everything and it was fulfilling and tasty.
Cosy environment, clean toilet, chill weather.
The restaurant has views of Mt Batukaru, Mt Batur and Mt Agung. Great place for photos and of course, to eat.
For those going to Kintamani, better get there before 12noon as the fog (in our case, fog and rain) started to pour down after.

It rents rooms to stay as well. The room is large with traditional ambience but it feels damp, even the bed sheets are moldy. We got fried rice and omelette for breakfast but it was too salty.

Big restaurant to accommodate the masses, food was surprisingly good and the view is excellent.
